The key provided for the self-checkout was for the wrong truck, which was located at a completely different location. There was no message from the location that this would even be a possibility, and the only reason we found it was that my wife noticed the additional trucks as we were leaving town. If we had driven a different route, we never would have seen the alternative location.Thomas B.

The ladies that worked at PBS was rude. Made me feel like I was dumb because I told them I used the phone app. And they wouldn't listen to me when I told them it went thru. Yelled at me to just take the keys and take the truck then.Amy G.
This is on the company not the pickup location: It was a big disappointment to learn that the 26' truck I requested was not available and that the best option was a 20' truck and 8x5' trailer. U-Haul is a good value, but it wasn't worth the added stress. Next time I plan to use a company that can reserve a truck and promise that I'll receive the truck I requested.Grant G.

The employees had NO idea what they were doing. The uhaul was dirty inside, their response, â€œI didn't even check inside.â€ They didn't even have the dozen furniture pads we requested. They couldn't figure out how to do the paperwork. I had to beg for a piece of paper that said uhaul on it - no contract given at pick up. They over charged us as well compared to the website reservation. No would do the damage walk around with us before we took it. We were not told to fill up the tank to the previous level. We only did it because we knew to do so from previous experience. We chose to look at the fuel guage at pick-up, otherwise we would not have known how much fuel to get. I would like to talk to someone from corporate regarding this whole experience. Not only did we have to drive to a different city to pick up our uhaul (even though it said one was available in town) & pay for the extra gas; the uhaul also leaked from the mom's attic and ruined parts of our couch.Chanda S.

The location we picked up from was excellent. She went above and beyond to help us. However, we ordered 100 pads for our move and the location didn't have any at all. Not what we were expecting when we were headed home to start packing up. It wasn't the location's fault but Uhaul didn't offer any kind of help except an excuse that they are short in the state. I had to drive to many locations just to round up enough furniture pads to do the bare minimum protection on our furniture.Jeremy S.

I was extremely disappointed in my interaction with PBS Storage. First of all, I reserved my U-Haul online and had chosen to leave the return location "open". I was moving from Crete Nebraska to Lincoln Nebraska and had no intentions on returning the U-Haul back to Crete. I had no reason to come back. Once I went in on Friday morning to actually get the keys for the U-Haul I was informed that I needed to return the U-Haul back to the Crete location the following morning. I didn't have the time to sit there and discuss the fact that I didn't want that in the contract. What should've been a $60 total ended up being almost double that amount..$117 based solely on the fact that I was charged for the mileage of having to drive the vehicle back to Crete (when that wasn't in my original reservation). On-top of that I was charged for gas when I clearly filled up the tank where it needed to be filled based on where it was when I got it. This company has been known for it's shady dealings and this is a clear case of yet another shady dealing. I expect this issue to be addressed and will no longer utilize your U-Haul service until it is. This is the first and only time that I've had such an issue with your company. Location is several businesses, and wasn't clear to us where to park or leave key. The U-Haul portion was closed Sunday and Monday, but I was able to reach the office Monday afternoon and get instructions for the drop-off.Monica F.

I wasn't able to get a 26 foot truck that I had reserved, but I was given a trailer to use for free. This resulted in me having to get an additional trailer because we couldn't haul everything. I believe the loss of the additional height afforded in the 26 foot truck was to blame.Tod A.

I failed to open the back door to check on box condition and when I got to my house to load discovered that their was a lot of soil on the floor (like potted plant dirt) that I had to sweep up. Also inside and outside of windshield was filmy and dirty.Eldon K.

Need to make sure trucks are maintained properly. Major clunk in the front in when turning corners was kind of worrisome. Other then that lady was very nice at PBS Storage as I had to speak to her over the phone because a friend had to pick truck up for me.Tonya A.

Uhaul needs to be aware of when this location opens. I asked the representative over the phone twice if this location would be open early enough to pick up our Uhaul and they assured me they would be but they were no open until an hour later than I needed.HEATHER A.

The person who did the "checking" to make sure that the uhaul was properly attached and hooked up did a horrible job. She was more concerned about the lights than verifying that everything was hooked up correctly. As a result, while we were driving, the uhaul came off of the hitch and proceeded to hit the back of the car. Luckily there was no damaged to either the car or the trailer. We were advised that if we had been traveling on the interstate we would have completely rolled-that's a comforting thought. We had to hook the trailer up ourselves and took 45 minutes because of all the problems we were having. And when I went and asked for help, that person never came out to help. Then, proceeded to say that we had hooked everything up correctly without doing a thorough job of checking. I was not pleased at all with this. Thank goodness that two individuals saw what happened when the trailer came off and proceeded to help us reattach everything and double check all was good and safe.ERIN H.

Put tongue jacks on your 6 by 12 trailers. They are fairly heavy to lift onto the ball hitch of a pickup.ROD P.
