Have the trailer/truck at the place where you were supposed to pick it up. Our reservation was to pick up trailer in Aberdeen South Dakota. Two trailers were there, but were unavailable since they were only available for â€˜local use'????? Why? Seems like you would want to rent a trailer rather than sitting and not being used????? The attendant was of little help and did not try to see if we could use one of the two trailers. Instead, we had to travel over 100 miles to Watertown to pick it up, and the trailer we were to pick up was too large for the small load we needed to haul. This experience was frustrating, stressful, and disgusting. In the future, I will do my best to avoid using U Haul for my hauling needs.RICK C.

Truck needs to be cleaned for pick up, I had to sweep out the back prior to loading. 1 package of blankets was extremely musty smelling, dirty and had mouse droppings in the plastic bag. Rental staff was on time to get me in and out on time.AARON R.

it was a hassle having to drive an hour to pickup my truck because they did not have one available in the town I reserved it for. I had a couple questions and waited on hold for a long time with no answer. This experience wasn't the best.KAYLA M.

I had originally reserved a uhaul trailer at a different location and when I showed up at the time designated the uhaul representative was not there. Went to this current uhaul location and was helped right away and was still able to get loaded and to my destination on time. We had a tricky problem with our travel plan and the UHaul rep was very helpful. He went out of his way to accommodate us. Unfortunately, a lot of reps in just about any company can be deaf to your concerns. Not at this UHaul. Very happy.Melvin G.

The back wasn't filthy but wasn't clean either. Furniture covers were thrown in back. Not a big deal except we didn't use them but wanted to take advantage of $25 off clean return. We also found a beer can in the glove box while looking for the key I misplaced. That wasn't very pleasant. Other than that everything went well.TRAVIS S.
I was told I would receive a call within 48 hours of my move confirming whether or not there was a truck available. I had to call UHaul less than 24 hours in advance because I heard nothing. I was told I had to show up right at 8am and do the online truck pickup or the process wouldn't work properly. I also confirmed that I was setup for online truck pickup. Imagine my surprise when I showed up at 8am, went to do the online pickup, and was told I needed to wait until the location opened to pick up the keys. It was Memorial Day weekend and the location was not open. I was on hold with U-Haul for 20 minutes before being told I was out of luck and needed to wait until the place opened. I got a call at 9am and was asked if I was going to pick up my truck. I would have when I was there at 8am. There is also no place to leave a vehicle when you pick up a truck. Should I have walked across town? Overall, not an easy process. Huge hassle even with â€˜convenient' online pickup. U-Haul needs to up their game.Amelia T.
