On 11/7/2020 i went to pick up my rental at 10:30am. I was told my the owner it was 2 day rental and I was allowed 146 miles. I was never given any paper work. Was told I had the truck till 10:30am on 11/9/2020. Went to drop truck off at location and was told it was a 1 day rental and only 101 miles. Why would I agree to only 10 miles more than that the drive was approximately. That's ridiculous. When calling the owner he stated he couldn't even find any paperwork on me or the truck.CHRISTOPHER ROBE T.

I paid ahead online. When I got there another couple was checking out. After they paid, they decided they wanted furniture pads and rented some. When it came my turn to get my keys and finalize my order, I was informed they were out of furniture pads. He was willing to check if another location had them, but I didn't feel like I had time to run around looking for pads. Then we went to put the dolly in the truck and it was full of grain and manure. They said they would sweep it out, but it really needed to be washed. They eventually agreed to give us a different truck that was clean. And have me $25 back for an inconvenience fee. I really appreciated that he looked and gave me extra miles because I was worried with how few miles I was given. He also found a closer drop off location for me. All in all I would go back, but I was disappointed that my furniture pads were sold in front of me when I had already paid for them.WILLIAM EDWIN E.

No Dolly was left in the truck - dirty furniture covers thrown in the back. I hurt myself moving heavy items. Using the phone check-in system is very slow. No way to correct problems with no personnel available.sharon W.

the customer SHOULD NOT have to pay to return the rental if they don't do it them self on line. the store should do the return for FREE after all they just PAID you for the use of the rental and the store is getting PAID ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!JOEY M.
Hidden fees. I was told a certain price.. I had the vehicle local.. for a total of 7 hours. Returned it clean and full of gas. And was charged 121 dollars. I made one trip back and forth totalling 30 miles. Wont do it again.elaina R.

The truck jumped a lot. Breaks pads squeaked everytime we stopped. Cracked windshield. Cup holders were broken. Ordered a dolley and the store in clinton township didn't have it and Lost 7 dollars.David P.

The problems I have are not with the location it is with the U-Haul Online process. I did this online and nothing worked, my reservation was cancelled and I was not notified as I put a CC on account to reserve but didn't make it exactly on time. There was nothing short of giving a pint of blood to rent this thing and the costs are ridiculous.Michelle M.

I didn't get to use the auto carrier trailer because the sales rep didn't have the measurements of said trailer so he told me there was a 2 foot gap which is why I wanted it originally. However it was closer to a 3 foot gap with flared edges which made it impossible for me to get what I was wanting to haul on the trailer and it was approved by "traction" a department of uhaul that looks at different applications and combinations to see if it will tow efficient. Besides that good place nice people.Matthew C.

I called Fremont, IN uhaul for a truck. He routed me 35 minutes away to the Hillsdale, MI location. This was not convenient for me. More trucks need to be available if you have so many uhaul stores (at least 2 others) that were way closer than Hillsdale. I gave 4 day notice, was this not enough?stephanie R.
When I took the unit back they charged me !5 dollars for 3 gallons of gas and I and some other witnesses feel that I returned it with a little more gas than it had when we picked it up. The !5 dollars won't break me but I will remember when I want to rent another unit.William B.

This location did NOT have the two (2) appliance dollies that I needed along with the trailer; and even told me that he "never carried them." The Owner called several other locations too; but they didn't carry them either. I'm not sure why UHaul would say that I could rent something that didn't exist in the renting location's inventory to begin with! As a result, I had to find and rent the dollies I needed; and ended up paying in excess of $60, instead of the $20 that UHaul was going to charge me. If this is how UHaul does business, then I'd rather rent from a competitor where I could be better served. Most Sincerely, Matt SlovacekMatt S.
