The manager here told me about the charges coming for mileage. he told me the manager at pick-up site "screwed" me but not offer extra miles.

Usually use longs nursery in palmyra to rent with U-Haul they are great. This time they did not have the truck I needed so they sent me to this place. I made an error when booking I guess I only asked for one day when I needed more. I rented on a Wednesday they called me on a Friday saying there was another person renting it that day I told them my issue and I was told “have the truck back as soon as you can.” She also asked me when I could possibly bring it back and I said maybe 6pm so then she must have scheduled for it to be back at 6pm. We got done late Friday but everything was out of the truck by 11pm we were tired and going to bring it back in the morning. We also had to change the drop off location which I knew was an extra fee but that doesn’t bother me. They called us again 8am Saturday saying they had a rental at 9am. I’m just spent at this point moving is already stressful and crazy I told my boyfriend who was my other contact listed for U-Haul to call them and explain and tell them we needed to drop it off in Lancaster. The man on the phone threatened calling police which whatever if that’s the policy then that’s the policy. He also accused me of knowing I couldn’t have the truck for how long I wanted it so I purposefully kept it longer and just avoided their calls which was not true. He acted like I was some mastermind criminal U-Haul theif. He said that he has been doing this for 15 years and that my move should have only taken one day. My boyfriend explained that it was just him and his father whom is in his 60s unloading the truck which was true I helped but with smaller things. This man said it doesn’t matter he has seen people get it done in a day. I had a four bedroom house he had a two bedroom that we were combining together to move to a four bedroom with his two kids I had stuff in my home from my mother and sister who use to live with me and they asked me to take some things on my move and store it for them. Anyway i know that’s a personal problem. I was in no way rude or disrespectful to these people, i think it was way out of pocket to say i did this on purpose and tried to scam them, that was just mean and crazy. Moving is stressful I had so much and still am recovery from the hassle and brain fog. He said this was all my fault because I didn’t plan my move right which even if that’s true I don’t think that was necessary to say to someone. It made me feel so stupid and like such a failure. I’m sorry for any inconvenience I know there will be fees and charges and I am perfectly okay with that! If I had been committing a crime by keeping the truck it was not on purpose!!! Complete misunderstanding and what he said and how he acted was overkill. U-Haul still gets their money for the days I used the truck. No matter if it’s from me or someone else. I also don’t understand why they only found out the truck was not there an hour before they needed to rent it out to others that seems like a crappy system. I wish he would have really sent the police instead of yelling and lecturing and speaking his peace about it he was just rude for no reason why not just have me arrested and have them bring your truck and be done with it. There was no result to insult me and my family and accuse me of purposely withholding their truck. Even when we said we were returning the truck he said that we can’t be trusted and he’ll call the police later today when the truck is not there. I have never had these issues with U-Haul ever I always rent for a few days. I’m sorry and I made an honest mistake I was wondering why it was so cheap to rent it but I thought it was just a deposit at pick up time. He said the contract was broken twice which I didn’t feel like when I spoke to lady on Friday that a contract was being made when she said have it back as soon as you can and when I said possible 6pm, those are not very official terms but maybe she was just passive like I am. I messed up the online scheduling That is my fault I was very stressed and I am sorry. I did not need insult added to injury though.

the website DOES NOT WORK to check in. the helpful employee had to deal with telephone help for over 30 minutes to process the rental that was reserved over a week earlier

They tried to charge me for an extra day when I dropped off the truck before my time was up. I had to call U-Haul corporate office to get it reversed. Also the reception was so bad that the app wouldn’t work properly. The app was not good.

I booked my truck 6 weeks prior to my moving date to provide adequate timing. I ended up having to take a smaller truck in order to keep my requested pickup location and not have to drive an additional half hour out of my way.

Staff at this location was absolutely awesome getting me set up with my truck and returning it. 10 out of 10 will rent from here again.

For U-Haul not the location. The location was great! U-Haul- I called the location and set up most my information Prior. It didn’t matter. I had to Re-Do all the information on the app. What a pain. It took 30 mins to pick up our truck.

Great experience. Much better customer service and overall efficiency compared to ETown Fitness Center who I have used in the past. Will definitely use this location for future needs.
