Rented the cargo van. When moving we drove into rain. Got to my son’s new apartment and everything was wet the van leaked. Put old blankets on the floor and laid the box spring and mattress down it was soaked. Tried to dry everything but I’ll have to end up buying new. Took it back and said something to them about it. They said they were wondering if it leaked. When they went to clean it before I got it they said they opened the back door and there was water in it. So the $200plus I paid to rent it I’ll have to put that or more into a new bed. So watch what you get.
Jeremiah SPurchasing went tough. Tom who waited on us was not helpful and many times rude. Once he got our money he acted like he wanted nothing to do with us. When we asked for straps to tie our car down, he said go buy them at the tractor supply, rather then tell us you don’t supply them. Our car was sliding off the trailer and I asked him if he had any ideas to help us, he said use the wood outside. His link he sent us, because you asked for pictures, expired. I asked if he could resend the link, he was short with me and said no, I can’t. I wanted to unload the car and go somewhere else, but my husband said with his attitude he wouldn’t refund our money. When we travel that way again, granted I will never use His U-Haul again. Return went amazing in Dubuque. Tom could use some training in public relations!
James LMy first drop off location was set for Forest City Iowa but there was no indication the address was a valid location. After checking in with the u haul rep I was redirected to the location we dropped off at. They were very helpful but it was another delay and more miles. I was told at the actual drop off location that my original drop off location has been closed. Basically the truck was great, the rest of the process not so much.

Stacey MI was told a Veterans discount would be applied for my rental. The charges were sent to my credit card WITHOUT the discount being applied. The employee was unable to cancel the charge and recharge my card with the discount. That was very disappointing. Don't offer a discount you don't apply! Our truck had NO cruise control. That was extremely inconvenient!

Michael MGet rid of online pick up and drop off. Out key was not in t he right box. Had to call several times to get it figured out. Multiple items were in the truck that I did not order. Bags of blanket covers 4 wheel cart furniture dolly. Found out we were getting charged for all the extra items I didn't order. At drop off guy would not ket us self check in said he would do it the next morning to get us refunded for all the extra stuff in our rental. Then wax called to tell us we were being charged extra for going over mile. Was never asked how many miles we wanted we went straight from point A to B then went two block to refill gas. Nice side scam you got going there. Now I have 5 pending charges on my card from. U-HAUL. COULDNT EVEN USE MY CARD FOR AN EMERGENT EXPENSE THAT CAME UP. OVERALL NOT HAPPY. I WISH WE WOUKD HAVE NEVEF RENTED A TRUCK. I COULD HAVE PAID PEOPLE TO MOVE MY STUFF FOR THE COST YALK ENDED UP CHARGING. YOUR ONLY PLUS SIDE I CSN SAY IS EVERY PERSO I SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY. OVER $300 FOR 12 HOUR TO GO LESS THAN 60 MILES IS RIDICULOUS. THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY.
Tisha FAbsolutely terrible place. Was told they close at 530 PM. Arrived at location at 500 on Friday. No one was there. Left keys in drop box and then they charged me for a missing dolly and a cleanup fee. Absolute crooks.

BORDEN PThe representative that connected the trailer to my pickup did not know how to properly secure the trailer to the hitch. The trailer came off the hitch at 55mph. Needless to say it was a very dangerous difficult situation. The front of the hitch ended up ramming a hole thru my tailgate causing significant damage to my truck. The tailgate will need to be replaced with a new one. I believe that individual at the U-Haul facility has already filed a claim.
Steve MWhen I made the reservation for the truck, I also reserved an appliance dolly which I did NOT receive, I did call customer service & Michelle was awesome she apologized & instantly refunded my money for that mishap. Yesterday morning the A/C was NOT needed when we picked up the truck, however the A/C was needed come afternoon due to hot weather & discovered it did NOT work which made for a HOT short uncomfortable ride to return the truck. The truck was clean & greatly appreciated however with the above 2 negativities is why I gave the rating I did!

ARNOLD WMy husband just parked and dropped the keys and he never returned a vehicle before so he didn’t understand and I forgot to upload the pictures of the beginning mileage and gas and I will do that now. But I think his name was Tony at the Mason city location was very helpful and helped me get everything straightened out so I can upload everything into the app. He was wonderful.
JACOB Cdont deal with the uhaul on the phone call direct to the place your getting they are horrible, Precise and tuned auto are excelent to work with and would do it again only through them

Rachel JTruck was filthy on the outside. Then when I returned it early was conveniently told the system was down but everything was good. Then now the next morning the price went up. Crooks!! Was inside the mileage and back early, yet I get charged more!! Crooks!!!
MICHAEL MI was supposed to pick up my U-Haul at 10 am & they had it reserved for 1:30 p.m. there was also no key in the compartment it told me it was supposed to be in. I had to call the 800 number to get assistance because the location was closed and I was not made aware they were closed on the weekends.

Donald YIt took a full hour from when I got there to pick up my trailer until I left with it. The person working with me skipped helping me to help someone else which delayed my departure so I was very late to where I was going.
EMILY Kthey didn’t give me the appliance dolly and charged me for it and also gave me a truck with less than 15 miles left until empty and tried to charge me for fuel even though i gave it back with double the miles left until empty

James LI didn't interact with anyone since they were closed. The instructions on the box weren't quite clear. I returned the truck at 9:30 am but it said on the receipt I didn't return it until 12:30 pm.

Racheal FDropoff was easy and it was outside of working hours, so we did not talk to the workers. My location and scanning were not working so it was a bit confusing. We called the next morning and the man who helped me was helpful. There was a spot to park the truck, and we were finally done!

BRADLEY RWhen trailer is returned early give customer refund for unused day. I returned the trailer whole day early was told made no difference was going to be billed the same which a bunch of BS. If I new that I would have kept the trailer the whole time but know I thought it would be nice to rent it out as soon as possible to make more money. In stead of waiting the whole day maybe it got rented out right away and you screwed over two people by one being nice and returned early.

MARK HI would first make sure customers know they’ll be expected to take pictures of INSIDE the cab and truck BEFORE they lock up/return their keys. I was able to do outside pics but we had already locked everything up, and returned the keys to the drop box, as the payment page came up BEFORE the entire process of taking pictures. Otherwise, the entire process of getting the truck, having dollies and blankets ready, was a breeze. And yes…get the insurance! You never know what can happen, even if it’s a short move. A small price to pay to cover EVERYTHING.
