This location was a joke. The location was listed as being open on Sunday, but it was closed. There was someone there moving trucks around, but he had no idea as to how to check in the vehicle, and just pointed me to instructions on the "key drop" box. I am somewhat technologically challenged, and trying to work through a rather complicated check-in procedure on-line was a real chore. U-Haul needs to come up with a better system, that's for sure. Also, folks at the drop-off location just didn't know how their own system works.Mark J.

The trailer had a low tire. Dealer told me to fill it up in town at the Kwik Trip. He didn't help with the hookup or check the lights. The tire had a puncture and I had to use my own spare for the trip, then fix it to return the trailer at a different drop off location.Keith O.

It is a TRUMP headquarters (MAGA flags/hats and FOX news on) and adult sex toy shop -- not where I wanted to go. Reported that the tail lights on the trailer did not work and I was driving the trailer at night and he did not seemed concerned .Andrew K.

Charged an after hours fee for dropping off a trailer on Sunday when the business was closed. Perhaps UHAUL should inform people that they will be charged more for unhooking and parking a trailer WITHOUT ANY ASSISTANCE FROM STAFF. Still waiting for follow-up and explanation from customer service at UHAUL.BRAD T.

Originally, I had reserved a truck at WK Appliance in Hayward Wisconsin. They were nowhere to be found for my reservation time. Uhaul did a great job of transferring my order to the next closest location and Prepper Joe's was a quick and simple process.Curtis D.

My contract said drop off at Hayward. There had been communication about drop off at Chippewa Falls for contract price, but contract said drop off at Pepper Joe's as your survey shows. I ended up having another $83 charged to me because I did not drop at Chippewa Falls. I talked to the area manager who was an absolute jerk. Did not apologize for confusion in regard to drop off. Simply insisted that another $95 would be charged to my credit card. Extremely poor customer relations. I was going by what the contract said and should not have been required to pay an additional sum. It's UHaul's paperwork and if they can't make it clear then UHaul should absorb the cost. I changed my schedule based on the contract saying drop off in Hayward. Please reverse the additional charge. This was no fault of guys at pick up and drop off locations. We learned about the need to pick this rental up from a location 70 miles away a couple of days before our move. This would have been very difficult for us if we were not moving to the place we had to go to pick it up. If there were a way to give us this knowledge at the time of rental, that would have saved us some last minute anxiety. We were very happy with the rental experience otherwise. Moving is always a challenge and U-haul equipment and services were very helpful and a good value.John I.

I called in to let them know I would be picking up a 10' truck. When I got there the person was pleasant. The truck ran well and worked great. It took 15 mins for me to get the key and pay for the vehicle. Your Uhaul systems are always slow. The truck had ice and snow covering the windshield. Your return mechanism is burdensome for the customer. Mine was rejected the first time due to too much volume in the system. The text says it's $20 if you don't do the return process online. I wasn't told that when I got the truck. I would have disputed the charge if I hadn't seen this. Fix your systems and improve your processes and training.Jeff K.

I had a reservation for a 26' truck made 3 days in advance. When I arrived to pick it up I was informed that it wasn't available and I had been downgraded to a 15' truck. I was never notified of this and in fact had a confirmation email for a 26' truck. I was informed by the franchisee that if U-Haul has a need for a truck that produces more profit then they will rent to the more profitable trip. My rental was a one day rental and the other was a one way rental to somewhere. I believe this is a very poor business practice and in this case left me high and dry as there were no other trucks the size I needed in the area, and none coming in anytime soon. The 15' truck I ended up with didn't have a high enough door for what I was hauling and will require another trip (65 miles one way) with a different truck for me to finish what I needed to do. If at all possible I will not use U-Haul again. I quote Seinfeld, "you know how to TAKE a reservation, you just don't know how to KEEP a reservation". Bad Form!! U-Haul should be ashamed!!Ken F.
