I didn't need the truck for more than 45 minutes, but NO Air Conditioning in August, in Illinois was pretty brutal. I was told when I arrived at 9 in the morning.

Not charge for using the dolly or the blankets in the back. They're literally just cheap cloth blankets to prevent scratching and the dolly isn't even an appliance dolly, just a convenience. Why even charge $5 for them?

I am so angry. I rented in naperville illinois. Gave credit card on line, picked their 8AM open for pickup. Called about 8:15 to confirm the trailer was there. I got there about 9:15 and it was given to someone else. I had to drive 90 miles to Sterling to get this trailer. What is the point of a reservation with credit card if you cancel my rental because I didn't come within 60 minutes of the time. Sterling agent was great.

Never knew UHaul offered movers as well. When I called the location about it, they said I'd have to call UHaul. I was skeptical they would have any in Sterling IL esp for same day. But they did. And they were great! Shoncey and Anton were courteous and conscientious, treating our stuff like theirs. The only negative (and it had nothing to do w them) was the difficulty getting the verification code to make sure they got paid. Navigating UHaul's support services is a nightmare. Forget calling, they never answer, even beyond the 25 minutes quoted. The chat line passed my question off three times and then closed me out because I didn't respond in 2 minutes. (Couldn't keep waiting, had something to take care of). Tried to go back to it since I did seem to be making progress, but that option was cut off after 6PM.

Nothing, if a person wants to save a ton of money without uhaul it wouldn't be possible. i would not hesitate to call them again.

Was told “Nothing was available” when I called the main uhaul number they reserve me a trailer from the place the guy said there wasn't any, he called me and said he was going out of town at 3 and it was 2:35 and that we needed to get there in 5 minutes then made us feel bad by telling us that the reason we got the trailer was because we stole it from some lady who was taking it to Texas.

This comment is not about the location but UHaul in general. I dropped off my truck one day early and the location was closed. The website blocked me from being able to check out online. I called the UHaul number 3 times and was on hold for an hour. The truck was fine; the customer service (if that's what you can call it) was THE worst I've ever experienced.

I was charged for 25 miles even though I only drove 8. The service light was on, and it stops you from even seeing the mileage. I feel kinda ripped off. Thank you

Hire drivers to retrieve the trucks and trailers that go to other destinations, the south has a overlapping of inventory. We had a very hard time getting a trailer but did. Other than the lack of I will rent again.

lack of AARP discount. No clear instructions on the use of the truck. I could not fill up when I returned because I couldn't get the cap off. No instructions on how to do that. So now I will have to pay extra. Unclear checkout directions. I was told to just drop the key in the box, but the message on my phone said to also drop in the contract. I did not do that because they already had my copy of the contract. All in all, it was very confusing.

We showed up 1 hour late for our reservation but I had already paid for the U-haul. My name was taken off the reservation. A courtesy call asking if we were still going to use the U-haul would have been nice especially since I had already paid for it.

Let customers know there is a governor on the maximum speed the truck will go. I found out when I was trying to pass a semi. NOT the ideal situation. Otherwise, a comfortable ride with good gas mileage and easy handling.

Fantastic customer service! When I picked up the truck at a different location, the odometer was off by 250 miles, and corporate and the pickup location said that the person and the dropoff location had to deal with it. And he did so well! He made sure that I did not get charged anything extra and was helpful and even (unnecessarily) apologetic for the company. He handled the entire dropoff for me, even though I couldn't get it to the location until after he closed for the day. I would highly recommend this location.
