This location was horrible. First off no visible signage to let me know I was in the right place. Had to pull 26' truck sideways up in the grass beside the very small side parking lot beside the building that was blocked for parking with wrecked cars and a Uhaul towing trailer. The key drop box was sitting in a chair and I was hesitant to even drop my keys and contract in it. This place is totally unacceptable!Stephen P.

I had to rent a POS truck under duress as it was the only one available and I was under a time constraint. also, UHaul, drop this franchise! it's in a disreputable part of Birmingham; the "staff" did not have an office, he spoke to me outside in his junkyard; there was no walk-around, "the truck's ok" he told me, before disappearing. the truck had the passenger door lock drilled out, it was filthy inside (I have pictures), with something sticky spilled all over the console. the new (!) tires weren't balanced, leaving me to deal with a shimmy for 1,400 miles. that's twice in a row, for the tune of $5000, UHaul has given me clunkers to drive for over 3,000 miles. shame on me. next time it will be Ryder or Penske.William M.

This was a terrible experience. The guy was 50 minutes late so we had to wait at this location outside. The location was extremely dirty with garbage bags piled up outside. I ordered 6 blankets and only got 2. The truck was dirty inside as well. Frankly it's hard to believe this place is used at a pick up or drop off location.Jeffrey M.

Sketchiest neighborhood I've ever encountered. Filthy, bars on the doors and no one there. Actual squatters near the back side - who were the only ones there by the way. It was so awkward I called UHaul to make sure they really wanted me to leave the truck there. I even took pictures to make sure I had evidence where I left it and that the truck was in good condition.Leslie C.
The gentleman was extremely professional and polite. The equipment itself is my only issue. It had broken glass and roach traps in it and i never received my appliance dolly so i had to have all my large items moved solely by hand.nicole P.

The app allowed me to rent a truck plus 20 moving blankets. Upon picking the truck up there were no blankets available. A major problem since we were moving antiques Mark's excellent customer service was appreciatedDavid R.

This was 39 minutes away from the location I requested and in an unsafe part of town. We arrived on time, and no one was there (or so we thought) We spent more than 30 minutes trying to get someone on the phone to help. Finally, we were told the agent had "stepped out" and would be back in 5 minutes. About 15 minutes later, a man emerged. No one ever pulled up, and it was apparent the "agent" who looked like a homeless person, had been sleeping. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Diane R.

This location was "sketchy" at best. I was glad my husband was with me as I would not have been comfortable in this neighborhood by myself. I had to call the gentleman (and I think woke him up - my pick up time was 6/8/19 @ 830am and I arrived at 820am). He was nice enough but evidently not good at follow through. I had pre-paid for my trailer and it had cleared my bank on Thursday 6/6/19. The gentleman did all rental details on his phone. He collected all my information, AGAIN, that I had put in when I had reserved & again when pre-paid & had the paperwork in my hand. I did not receive a contract nor sign anything - just was given the trailer to start moving my son. Also the trailer had not been cleaned out well since there was quite a bit of change on the floor for us to pick up. I was called twice that day: 10:19am and again at 4:10pm by U-Haul regional people to see if I was still interested in the trailer I had reserved. BOTH times I expained that I had picked up the trailer that morning was in the process of using it and that I would return to the U-Haul store in Meridian, MS on Sunday. Evidently that did not CLUE anyone in with U-Haul that something was amiss on their end and some steps had not been correctly followed.kim W.
This was the absolute worst experience moving in my entire life. The pick up location was sketchy and the person was not there at the right time for pick up. Customer service wait time is 20-30 minutes each time. I've had to wait 3 separate times during this awful experience. In what universe does a 6x12 fit 3 bedroom apartment. False advertisement. I will never be using u-haul again and I will strongly discourage everyone I know to never use it againSean B.

This location is in a dangerous area, there is virtually no signage and no visible way to tell where the entrance is. You have to phone the guy running it and he comes from around the back through a side gate and meets you on the side. He has no paperwork/contract and you get an email with links. I did not request this location and I'm extremely displeased that U-Haul changed my pick-up location the day before I picked up the truck. This was the only piece of equipment on the premises and I'm pretty confident he picked it up at the Vestavia location and I was sent to him so you could try and get him started in business. Problem is he has no business renting your product.Roger J.
