The back of the truck was full of water so I had to push all the water out and mop it before my stuff went in. It was very dirty inside the cargo area. They also didn't apply the same discount I received at another location so I ended up paying $8 less for a 16 ft truck than I did the 26 ft truck for the same time and distance. He said he didn't know how to apply the discount. I will not be using this location again.Philip C.

I showed up to 2155 Credit Union Ln, North Charleston, SC 29406. Where the trailer was supposed to be but when we got there they said that someone was supposed to have contacted us that our trailer we rented had a blow out and the changed our pick up location. But we never received a call when we got to the new place we walked into the adress they gave us but there where 2 other businesses there with no signs on there place that indicates they rent u hauls. We went to the liquor store they said no that it's next door. When we go into the grocery market they had no signs were to go the front Conroe pointed to another counter and said they do there. When we got done with the paper work they stayed inside and never came and look at the trailer or helped hook up. Thankfully my brother was with us we barely were able to lift the trailer up to the hitch it was a 6x12 cargo trailer witch didn't have a crank handle and it was in the dirt. When we lifted the trailer up it ended up rolling a little bit and smacked my truck. Didn't leave any damage. When I brought the trailer back they didn't tell me we're to put it or come out to see if I needed help unloading it took me 10mins to get the trailer off my hitch and that was beacuse of how heavy the trailer is and it was just me. This location is not easily marked, there are not good directions for where to leave a U-Haul and it is not a safe area. We had issues with the app loading that prolonged our time there and were concerned about safety. Driveway is littered with glass and bottlesRobert P.

The people running this location didn't even speak clear English nor the they reporting accurate mileage for mile out or in therefore customers are being over charged. I had original requested Duncan Ace Hardware was my perferred pickup. The Red and white Supermarket agent didn't know how to process or speak english, we had to wait over one hour to get the truck, We had driven 8 hours. They didn't seem to want there truck to go one way . We had to add one quart of oil. For some reason my drop off date changed from original order. It took me 4 phone calls and emails to get it changed back. I shouldn't have had to call and change to my 1st location. Not sure how it was changed. They are located in a very bad area and are KNOWN as a druggie hangout. Some of employees barely speak English. This is NOT a Uhaul location at ALL. Grocery store that dabbles in it and when you call you ALWAYS get a GROCERY employee doesn't know head from hole in the wall!LOUIS P.

The van was newer which is good, but before we left the lot it had to be cleaned out because of trash left inside. The woman who rented it to us said they have an issue with breakins at that location, so they leave the trucks unlocked(!)...and someone had been hanging out in the truck and left a bunch of trash. Hello- I just picked up my U-Haul at Red & White supermarket in North Charleston, sc. Parita Kakadia is who â€œassisted usâ€. I have never dealt with such rude customer service. Our pick up was supposed to be 10 am. Didn't even get to leave until 10:48am because she said she was busy with other stuff. She told us we could take our business elsewhere and I informed her we had already paid and filled out the info on line yesterday! She said she hated dealing with â€œpeople like usâ€ I guess because the color of our skin was different. She still had to put in most info acywr I had already did it online. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome and almost didn't even want to rent through them but we needed it today. She was literally arguing back and forth with us when my military fiancÃ© finally stepped in and said â€œma'am we don't need attitude we just want our U-Haul!â€ I am very stressed and upset with this issue. I don't even feel comfortable returning it to them. I asked her also what time did I need to have it back because the website said 3 days- but now I am hearing within the same time as I picked up the next day...this is very misleading information especially if we are returning the next day just a couple hours later... Now we still haven't hear anything from anyone after countless emails and calls and we're still charged!Mallory V.

Get your act together. I called and was told that the Red and White location had the tow dolly I needed. I wanted to be sure I was going to the right location so I called Red and White. The woman who answered said hello. I asked if she was at the U-Haul location. She said yes. I asked if she had a tow dolly. She asked me to repeat. Then she said she did not have a tow â€œdillyâ€. I raised my voice and said â€œare you sure you are at the U-Haul officeâ€. She hung up on me. I drove on down to the Red and White location. I asked some people outside where I could talk to someone about a tow dolly. I found out I would have to go into the grocery store. The man told me he did not have a tow dolly reserved for me and that a man had been there 20 minutes earlier to rent the tow dolly but declined to take it because one brake light did not work. I took the dolly anyway. I went inside and it took about 30 minutes for the man to process my request even though I had previously reserved the dolly by phone. My stepson used the dolly and tried to return it. The man yelled at him that he did not have room for the dolly and he would have to take it to the central office. My stepson brought the trailer to the house and we went back to Red and White. I entered the parking lot from the rear and unhitched the dolly. I went in and told the man I had returned the dolly. He came out and looked at the dolly. We went back in and he waited on a couple of grocery customers and then printed out my receipt.eugene B.

The location was a bit run down and inside a supermarket. OTHER then the two different locations, the equipment I used should work to the customer's ease of use. 1.) Add Power Locks. 2.) Add Power Windows., 3.) Add Cruise Control. OMG, it's 2019 and to open and shut a window need to pull off the road and do so. No Cruise is just that! If you don't have it, you know how much it's needed.JAMES H.

I stared at the front doors for several minutes literally and could not find a dropbox but yet when they called later they swear one is there!!! The problem is there's 500 other signs as well, it's like a family owned grocery store with signs absolutely everywhere and is so clouded with so many signs you can barely see inside the front door glass. I'm sure that's a major distraction but still I consider myself extremely intelligent and I am still shaking my head at how I could've possibly missed a drop box while staring directly at it so something is amiss somewhere..LOUIS P.

I rented it for 8am however the store didn't even open til 10am. The lady that assisted didn't even walk around the truck with me without my insistence due to my not getting the insurance. She got mad when I returned it and could only park in front due to a coca cola delivery truck in the way. I didn't sign any paperwork at all nor did I show any card or ID at any time.Fran K.

This location was not in the best areas of town. In addition, we were forced to pick a drop off location about 30 minutes away from our new house but there were certainly other places renting U-Hauls even two minutes around the corner in the storage unit facility where we are housing some belongings. I reserved a trailer at one location. On the way to pick it up, I received a message to go to a different location that was further away. Alreadycommitted to the move, I had no choice. The second location was in a very dangerous part of North Charleston. I specifically tried to avoid this location but once again I was committed to the move. I had to wade my way through drug dealers, crack whores and fllth just to rent a trailer. Not to mention the drug paraphernalia sold at the UHaul Counter. During the process my wife was getting harassed by Thugs hanging around the parking lot and store front. Very shady place. The customer service is horrible, they don't understand English, so they had no idea what I was asking for, they didn't have knowledge of all of the services U-Haul provided, gave wrong pricing and then overcharged with NO apology. The contractors from the Moving Helpers was the only positive and they weren't great either because they purposely moved slower than needed and took the long way to get to my old address AND the same getting to the new address, which of course allowed them to charge me an additional hour. I spent way more money on moving that I was supposed to. I would never use this service again and would never recommend it. I'll find my own mover and transportation... this was a very disappointing experience and I hope it doesn't happen to another family.Shamoka A.
Not allow these people to rent UHaul Equipment. When I got there the lady was at another truck arguing with another client. Then when I went into the store to speak with her because I had a question, she was very rude and was from India. I only mention she was from India because I had a difficult time understanding her, then I felt insulted after she yelled at me and then began to speak to her co-workers or family members in her native language. The problem began because I went to the location at 7:00am like I was supposed to but then could not find the keys and they were not open. I then went back at 9:15 and was informed that the truck had been rented to someone else. I asked her why the truck had been rented to someone else and she said that she was not sure of why but then said probably because I was not there at 7:00. I told her I was there at 7 but there were no keys so I had to come back after they opened. That is when she said I was wrong and that the keys were there and that I must have over looked them. Then she said because I was not there at 7 and because I did not log into the website as required for people that book online was why the truck was rented to someone else. I then explained that I did log on but could not find the keys as described in the online instructions. At that time, I did not do anything else online because I was afraid I would mess something up. I just assumed that the store would be open in a couple hours and I would work it out with them. Well when I went to the store, she had the keys behind the counter and acted like she knew nothing about my reservation. She expressed her dislike with UHaul's online reservation system because of problems like this and the fact that if someone makes their reservation in the middle of the night who is supposed to put the key on the truck, she wasn't doing it. Then she said that now she was going to have to call the guy that had booked the same truck and tell him she had no more trucks. Well she did that right in front of me and it went like this: "sir I am calling to let you know that the truck was double booked and we do not have a truck for you" ........."I don't know how it happened, I just wanted to let you know that I do not have a truck for you".........."you will have to call a different store or our customer service number and see if they can locate a truck for you"........."I don't have time to look at different stores for you, you will have to do that yourself"......"call whoever you booked it with or go online and see if they can help you". (click) hung up the phone. She then proceeded to check me out and tell me that she don't need me to argue with her about it and that didn't I see her already arguing with another woman this morning about a similar issue and that she was not going to tolerate it or explain to me what caused the problem. That is when I decided I would not say anything because I was afraid I would not get my truck aKelly M.
