Although it was told in my contract was in a time crunch they should've specified clearly that you have a km limit when driving. Not their fault but when booking the uhaul it wasn't clearly brought up a km limit. If this was I would've booked through a location closer to my area!

The first trucks battery was dead and then the second one worked fine. He never told me the dolly was outside the door and I had nothing to use. I couldn’t go back as I was moving out of the city. He was the only one on at 9am and had a huge lineup.

Nolan DGet rid of the workers at the U-Haul red deer in river bend. I have never had someone be so rude to me especially over the fact I was renting a trailer. And on top of that I tried to go grab a cash security deposit and by the time I got back to U-Haul the guys left and closed before I could even get my trailer. This was 50 minutes before closing and I was only gone for 10 minutes. The older guy there really is a horrible person and seeing how he treats people he really shouldn’t be working there. I almost got into a fight with him because he was so condescending and rude. Why would you want to employ anyone like that in your right mind. Either way this U-Haul sucks and I would never go there again. Worst experience ever

Ron AI went in and booked a truck 4 days ahead of time. When I went to pick it up they had a van waiting. When I told them of their mistake they switched me to a truck and said it was just outside around the corner. It took me awhile to find it as it was parked down the street. The gas tank was half full and it hadn't been swept out. They wanted me to fill the gas tank up when I returned it but I only drove it 8 km. I only put in $25 as I figured that was all the gas I used. So after all the costs I paid $75 for 8km - a far cry from the $19.95 advertised on the truck advertisement
Grant WThe fuel reading on the contract was wrong when I checked in. It was reported to the desk attendant when I checked out, with photos of the before and after gauge showing nearly zero movement. I was told, not to worry about it, implying I would not be charged for the fuel because of their error in paperwork. Instead, I was charged a $25 fuel charge and wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't double-checked my bill when it was emailed to me. Definitely get photos before you leave and make the adjustment on your contract before driving away.

GARY PBe sure to always doublecheck the paperwork before signing! Stupid on my part as I was in a rush and didn't check the papers to see what they added. During my online reservation I opted out of any additional coverages and my final total was showing only the amount of my rental when I clicked accept to book.(I still have the emails that show this and the reserve button in the email brings me to the site showing I that didn't accept added coverage.) During drop off that evening while I was checking in I noticed the total was higher and that they had snuck in the extra insurance charge. I clicked to dispute payment and got a notification they would call me on next business day to discuss. I did not hear back. Once I got the email with the final bill I called them and brought up my issue. They claim I am lying, that I accepted the coverage, that its impossible for them to add the coverage and they never would add it on themselves since they don't make money on it. Well obviously they did make money on it because I didn't damage the trailer and didn't want the coverage and they charged me for it. I still have the emails that show the total I should have paid but they wont refund. Shady location, looks like there are tons of other 1 star reviews, not surprised.

Robert GMy appointment was at 9am but I had to wait 30 minutes in line and it made me late for my scheduled appointment. Then, the trailer wasn't ready and was difficult to access. Once I had it on my vehicle I had to remove a foot high of snow and ice in order to be able to use it.

Joseph JWe rented a U-Haul and we received it our documentations say it had 3/8 of a tank of gas when we returned it I returned it with the same amount of gas. I also have a photo of the odometer reading and the amount that was in the gas tank. We were charged over $50 for a gas charge after going down to the dealership they said that they were kind enough to refund us a 1/8 of a tank of gas for a total of just over nine dollars. I am a little confused how a quarter of a tank was charged to us at $59 , but an eighth of a tank return is over just nine dollars in refund

Amanda PSadly when I went to pick up my trailer the counter person did not get off his personal phone call and checked me in at the same time. I assumed the furniture dolly I rented was in the trailer. When I arrived at my destination we discovered it was not in the trailer. This made the move hell. When I returned the trailer all I got was we won't charge you for it - NO apology. Poor service and customer service skills. The trailer was also not washed, mud all over the back door and handle area. The trailers also do not come with a jack so at no time can you disconnect it from your truck.

Julie BYou need to train your employees and tell them to comply with the reservation the customer booked online as well as the service you provide online checkin, for less steps and time taken when picking up the uhaul. In the reservation and online checkin we chose NOT to put on extra insurance/coverage as we were just taking over sized item to the dump. When I went into the store the guy did everything we had already done in the online checkin. I did not bring my phone because we had ALREADY DONE the online checkin. So I had to walk home because my wife's number memorized I had to walk back home to get it. What was the point in doing the online checkin? On top of that he threw in the extra coverage/insurance when I had already said NO to it TWO TIMES previously, he did not even verbally ask me if I wanted it. I had to call the Calgary office to get that taken off and readjusted. Goodness knows how many other customers of yours he had ripped off like this.

Justin BThe owner is the most unfriendly person. He was rude from start to finish. I used the truck for 2 days, 40km as it was an intown move. Topped it up with $20 gas and dropped it off. I didn’t rent blankets or buy boxes and was charged $250. I was charged an extra $ 36 for gas( on top of the $20 I put in), so $56 in gas for less than 40km. We had no idea what this guy charged in the end or we would have gone elsewhere. He was difficult when having to return the deposit, having me deal with the” go uhaul “ customer service. We picked up our refund today. We moved May 1. I would never refer this branch of u haul. Shady
Kristen EBe fair about what you are charging the customer, you charged me for 6 liters of fuel, the sheet you gave me showed 1/4 tank of gas, my pictures show 1/4 tank of gas, I returned it with more than 1/4 tank of gas and yet was charged an extra 6 liters of gas for no reason. I did not order a dolly or blankets but was charged for them. This was not brought up when I placed the order for the truck. I have rented from uhaul before and never charged for these items. I have filed a complaint about the gas and will not recommend uhaul to anyone until this is resolved. Also I was to pick up the truck at 9:00 am Sunday but dispatcher didn’t show until 9:10 AM
