They were listed as having moving dolly’s. However, when I got there, I was notified they did not. I paid for movers and whatnot to help unload the truck. I lost time unpacking moving truck, but the movers I had paid for. As a result, I was set back a couple of hours because the one hour three movers translated to multiple hours by myself. The owner of this location was more than understanding and did not charge me for going past my return time. I’m very grateful for this understanding and customer service.

The uhaul truck clearly wasn’t inspected by the company beforehand. The back door was missing a track wheel so it would not shut… We had to call uhaul roadside assistance and he showed us how we could pull it down. I had to grab both the metal and rope handle and jump down pulling it with me to get the door to shut.

Airbag light remained on the entire travel. Trucks maintained on an unsecured lot. Truck returned and a cleaning fee was imposed when there was no trash left in the truck. Owner reported he had to clean leaves. Parking lot is a hang out for locals making it difficult to park and left me feeling unsafe. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!

The gentleman at the pickup location running the gas station, explain to me when I got there at noon that they had closed, and showed me the sign that indicated this. I explained to him that no one had told me this when I told him I would be there at 11:30 to pick it up, even though I was later than what I had expected I didn't expect anybody to close in the middle of the day. The gentleman was kind enough to still make the truck rental go through and was very Pleasant to deal with. But in the future you're booking office should let people know when they say that they would be there at 11:30 that the place closes at noon if that's the case. Most people would not expect somebody to close shop in the middle of the day. Thankfully your operator at the Ridge Road Carroll fuel location, was able to help me even though he was closed. Kudos to the operator.

I never received notification that our pick up location was different than what I requested. After 15 mins dealing with the person at the pickup location who told me they “just work there” and suggested I just go online and rent another truck, I finally got in touch with a UHaul rep. I was told maybe I didn’t get an email because there was a system outage. However, I was contacted the day prior to upload my license, which was completed. We were given a new location. I tried calling the new location to confirm before driving out and no one would answer. I called U-Haul rep back, and she attempted as well and no one would answer. She assured us that it’s a 24/7 pickup and to use the app to get the truck. I went to pick up the truck and the app said to see cashier for the key. The cashier said he doesn’t have keys. I again had to call the U-Haul rep who asked me to put the cashier on the phone. After that conversation and the cashier calling someone, we finally got a key 20 mins later. The truck was just about out of gas, so we had to add gas before getting started, which again added time to an already late pick up. The truck was clean but runs pretty rough. Overall headache and too much time wasted on something that could have been avoided.

Good customer service. Dealt with a good man at the station; got what I paid for. I would definitely recommend this U-Haul station (please ignore my earlier review where I thought I’d been overcharged for miles; that was a pre-return estimate and I was actually billed correctly). Thanks for the good rental experience.

Unfortunately the drop off experience at this location was poor and I would not recommend this place should this customer exchange be considered acceptable. Though the van itself was in decent condition the customer service at check out was terrible. The individual at the drop off/window, was rude - his presentation gives an impression that the customer is bothering him, even by simply dropping off the van key. Additionally, the receipt I finally received this morning via email is actually inaccurate - 8:02pm is listed as the drop off time when in fact I returned to the location at 5:40pm; returned before the 10/22/25 6pm due date/time.

The U-Haul that was provided to us was very old and wasn’t maintained well at all. I was charged for miles I didn’t use as well as I returned the U-Haul at 12:00 pm and the receipt I have says after 3, that is incorrect and there shouldn’t be a cleaning fee, not sure what they had to clean.

Difficult to access from the busy highway it’s connected to. Located tightly behind a small gas station that is a simple a lawn full of staff cars, U-Haul vehicles and other automobiles. If not for the sticker on the side window of the gas station, you’d never know it was U-Haul associated.

The pickup location was not where I expected (Carroll Fuel on 40: 8300 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043). I was also charged ~$100 instead of the ~$65 that was quoted

Service we received, it was extraordinary. We initially sign up online for regular unit and when we get there dehumidifier unit just became available and they show us both units to compare the difference. But not only that there was some complexity transferring unit and Jason was handled the issue even after his work hours and gave us what we wanted! Unbelievable!!!

The U-Haul app covered over fields I needed to use. I use an Android, and the keyboard would sometimes cover up fields I needed to type in. And the Androids navigation buttons partially covered the "take photo" button. The person who received the verification call was expecting a call but got a text instead. I first used a landline number but it gave me an error message, which itself was incorrect ("you cannot use the same number with which you used to book this rental." It was not the same number, it was a landline which I suspect it didn't like since there was no way to text.)

Vehicles are really in bad shape, rust on vehicle tyres, doors tough to close, handles of doors falling of while closing the door. Seems like no vehicles are serviced or maintained properly . If I compare same with Home depot vehicles, I will give 10 to home depot and 1 to Uhaul. Your product team needs to visit all pickup locations personally to see vehicles as well as pickup place conditions

They lie about pricing and send constant emails changing the price. Do not ever use this U-Haul. Also their trucks need to be checked for safety. I would not trust them. People work to hard for their money.
