I rented a 10’ U-Haul moving van for about 8 hours, and while the advertised rate is $19.95, the actual cost ended up being close to $200 after the additional charges. I understand that mileage, fees, and other costs can be added, but advertising a truck at $19.95 when the final price is nearly ten times that amount feels very misleading. The advertised price gives the impression that you can rent a moving truck for around $20, when in reality, the cost can be significantly higher. I would much rather see U-Haul advertise a more realistic starting price or clearly explain the typical total cost upfront. The way the pricing is presented feels deceptive and, honestly, a bit like a rip-off. The van itself was , but the pricing and marketing left a very bad impression.

The interior of the truck was very dirty. Other than that everything else was fine.
Patrick MThe clerk was very unfriendly and not welcoming.
YOONHONG MWhomever the man was that I did my pick up with, possibly the gas station owner/manager kept calling me “buddy”; was rather condescending; gave me a hard time when he had to move another truck so I could get mine out from where it was parked (I was still going through the pick up process of taking pictures, etc). Was not very clear about the receipt stating I was to return the vehicle where I picked it up - despite it being a one way rental. Actually gave me a bit of a hard time when I asked for clarification and told me “You need to call UHaul support center if you have more questions, I only sign out the trucks.” Extremely poor customer service and a bit rude. I’m a business executive and would lose business if I or any of my employees treated people this way. I will look for other locations if I need a U-Haul in the future. Conversely, every conversation with your support center team was outstanding! They were very helpful, considerate and professional.
Alan IThe 10 foot truck does not have ramp. Short person step height for doors and back is very high additional lower step that can be used by shorter people would be helpful as well as grab bar for hand use by cab doors and left side of cargo to assist on entry and exit would be extremely helpful. A ramp would also be helpful.
