The truck cab was filthy and the floor board was covered in pet hair and what appeared to be mud at first but smelt like feces. The back of the truck had not been swept out and there were small broken mirror shards throughout. I would not have accepted the truck but there was no one on site and the entire day had been planned around getting the truck. The truck was in good working order and the personless pick-up and drop-off were easy enough to figure out though extremely inconvenient given the state of the truck.

My reservation was modified by U-Haul 3 times including 3 different locations. The second location was the place I was expected to pick up the truck. The truck was not available and no one was on site for support. Customer service line was helpful, but I had to go to a different site to pick up a truck. This delayed transport of my items to the new location which caused me to miss other appointments.

The location was closed due to staff illness but the Area Field Manager responded immediately to my call and personally drove to the drop off location to check in the equipment. Overall the team worked to make a smooth transaction.

The truck was not full of gas, I was late getting away with the truck due to no one telling me what to do. Was told that someone would be where I had to pick up the truck. Then I had to drive 43 miles out of the way to return the truck to another town that I had to pay milage on. so not really happy...

I’ve rented 3 different times from this location and always had a great experience. Mr. Robert makes sure that you are taken care of. The lot is easy to move around and is very safe, even after hours.

The man at the Ridgeland, MS location was not friendly at all. I had reserved the trailer online a couple of days prior under my name since the Uhaul "Sign In" that we have has my name on it. (He let me know that this was NOT an account.). I had downloaded my husband's DL when I was sent an email to do so. This is because he would be the person driving the truck that pulled the trailer, therefore being the authorized person and one responsible for the trailer. When we arrived, my husband went into the building and gave the person this information. He immediately accused my husband and I of attempting to commit fraud and that my name would be red flagged by Homeland Security and he told us he could turn us away. We filled out the information in good faith and in Mississippi, we are considered as one and we can sign and complete contracts for each other. We were just trying to move a piano for our daughter, not do something illegal. He said he had to click a button stating we were not committing fraud and he would have to start all over with our reservation. He told us again that he could just send us on our way but he would fix what we totally did wrong. My husband and I really could not believe this man treated us with such disrespect and making us out as criminals. I know there are certain rules to be followed when Uhaul rents, however, there was no reason to make two people feel very uneasy to the point of it being scary. I have been to several of your locations for our trailer needs and have never been treated like this. I will not be returning to this location for future rentals.

As soon as I started to drive the truck, a dash message popped up that Traction Control needs service and the ABS Light was also constantly on. The Hitch light was also on. I had to acknowledge all these lights but was worried about any other issue during my rental. Please take care of these maintenance issues for other customers. Thankyou

The U-Haul in Ridgeland, MS made it SUCH an easy experience! This is my first time renting one and it basically takes you through it step by step. Everything was well maintained and the key was exactly where it was supposed to be. The only thing is, there weren't instructions about where exactly to park it, but thats no big deal. Easy experience -- would definitely use again.

The vans are not clean. Just swept out. The one just rented needs an oil change, a taillight is out or not working properly, and the tire pressures are not balanced. This should all be checked before a customer drives off the lot.

I've done business with the location before and have been pleased. However, when I showed up with the trailer on a Thursday morning to return it, there was a closed sign on the door. It was about 9:00 a.m. so I called the phone number on my contract. I got a voice mail that the location was closed last week on Wednesday and Thursday. I had to find a spot to leave the trailer and had to manually lift it off the hitch and put in on the ground...not a good task for someone with back problems. Also, I had rented a 2-wheel dolly and pads. I left them in the trailer, but was worried that they might be stolen. I did receive notification the following day that the equipment had been checked in.
