I personally did everything mobile and had no issues with the reservation, pick up and drop off through their website. When I did find my truck it was completely covered and surrounded by snow due to a recent blizzard but I went to one of their side locations at a laundry mat. Almost got upset but I wouldn't expect the older lady at the laundry mat to be expected to shovel the trucks out. Everything with the truck worked well besides it drove super rough even driving around this city's potholes. Can tell there is not any maintenance on trucks when returned everytime like usual car rentals. Other than that I'd still recommend U-haul next time I move.

The lady helping us did not know how to run the UHaul website and detained us for over half an hour causing us to miss our appointment. She told us she had filled everything when we talked to her on the phone earlier, but obviously she hadn’t.

What I rented was not there. Their website is not updated - I expected a pickup truck and got a small moving truck. Didn’t have time to go to another location. When I expressed frustration to the women working - it fell on deaf ears. When I showed her the website still allowed me to rent a pick up truck from her location even though she said they hadn’t had them for a couple of months - her response was that she didn’t have anything to do with the website.

My wife and I had already reserved a small trailer at a different location. The day before we were to pick it up, we received a phone call telling us they didn't have one but the other location did. Okay. We go to the River City Laundry/U-Haul location and the lady who helped us was very good. However, the trailer had a damaged power strip. She replaced that but a rear light was not working. She called the franchise store up the street and got a hold of Mike Agnew, an Area Field Manager, who promptly saved U-Haul's reputation. We promptly took the trailer up there and he immediately went to work on it. I can't say enough about this manager! He fixed all the problems and got us on the road in less than half an hour. He gave us his card if we ran into any other problems. This is a textbook example of customer service done correctly!

I was charged twice for a three hour rental truck! When I asked the rep what the second charge was for she said she didn’t know what the charge was for or why I would have been charged a second time. Issue has yet to be resolved!

We wish we would've gotten the girl's name that worked in your River City Laundry location in Sioux City location. She was polite, courteous,and very hard working. she was able to deal with multiple customers in an efficient and professional manner. thank you, Colin and Vicki Galvin

This is a laundry mat. Poor girl did her best, but had never checked in a one way truck, had issues with the website not loading,etc. Not sure why we were told to go here and not the full service U Haul 1 mile down the road. I don't want this to reflect poorly on the young woman helping us.

I was not sure about the rates of the 24 hour rental agreement. I was charged duplicate for both days. I was under the impression that I was going to be charged a one time fee for both days of the rental truck. I feel that uhaul companies should explain to the customer the exact amount they are going to be charged before signing the rental agreement.

Excellent help at the rental desk from the young lady. Great explanation on all things. I returned the truck later in the day and same gal was there to check me out. It is a safe location in a very nice laundromat.

My check out and check in was fast and he took tge time to discuss all the charges. If you need a Uhaul pick this location u will be pleased you did

The reservation was a nightmare. Reserved a 5x8 covered trailer via online with email confirming we had made the reservation complete with reservation number. When confirming the location for pick up the main U-Haul called and said that they didn’t have a 5x8 available but had a 6x12 we could use at no additional cost. The pick up location called confirming the same. Fast forward to the actual pick up day. We showed up at 9am, which was the time we scheduled to pick up, the employee didn’t show up until 10 minutes after our confirmed time which, no big deal. However, they had no record of our reservation, had to re-reserve on the spot, this including the lack of agreed upon price we were to be charged for the 5x8 trailer that was not only confirmed the day before by them but by their maintain U-Haul out of Des Moines . The gordon Dr store refused to let us pay the 5x8 price as they had “no record of that on hand”. In addition, we were given uneducated instruction of what we needed for said trailer which was that “the ball height didn’t matter”. Luckily the pickup location was close by and we were able to check and see what we needed. We got a hold of Des Moines headquarters who reimbursed us for the difference of the 2 trailers and did receive our deposit. I guess all I can recommend is to get it together bc your store was a freaking nightmare to do business with

The workers took a really long time to come to the counter to serve us both times. There seemed to be a lot of distractions. We were told that we would be getting our truck from a different location and found out this at the last minute. Communication was very poor.

I picked up the trailer and it had debris all over in the back. I was only hauling dressers so I left it as it was. When returning it the clerk told me she will be charging me $25 for returning it dirty. She provided me with a broom and I swept it out. But I was returning it in the condition that I received it. If they want it clean on return they should have it clean upon pick up.

I had a horrible experience renting this uhaul. The lady Dee Dickson told me “if I would get off the phone with her I wouldn’t need the truck longer cuz I could be moving”. She told me to get going. Extremely rude. She was no help at all, very condescending, and in a complete power trip. Worst experience ever and I will spread the word of my horrible experience.

I'm not happy with the 15 dollars cleaning bill tacked on when the trailer was just as clean as when I picked it up. I will not be doing business here in the future.

This was a horrible experience. I was directed to go to Denison, Iowa to get the truck I reserved. I drove there. They couldn't help me, were nasty, and said the uhaul person had left. Told me they would tow my car. I was in tears. Uhaul redirected me back to River City.... for a smaller truck. They also said that based on the horrible service the regional manager would be calling me. They said they would request the call be that day (6/29) but he had 72 hours to call me, they told me he would address my issues... since I now would have to return to Iowa for a second trip to get my remaining items that didn't fit in the smaller truck- or just give them up. It's been six days. No call, no email. It is frustrating. I truly believe UHaul should be giving me a discount on my second trip based on their horrible service and promises. The call said it was recorded. Please listen to it.

Have a truck that runs and has even just enough gas to make it to a gas station. To bad the manager of a different store was unwilling to help due to wanting to go home for the day. Will say the lady at this location did everything she could but clearly her hands that were tied and rented me a truck with no gas and a dead battery. Also I asked for the place in Dakota City because it was two blocks from my house but was told it would be in south Sioux and then I had to go even further out of my way and go to Sioux City to get and return the truck, and because of this I had to add another 10 miles I had to pay for.
