I rent UHauls periodically. This was, without question, the worst truck I have ever received. The front axle sounded like it was going to fall off with every bump I hit. When your trip is 200+ miles on highway it was a constant occurrence. there was a slight draft coming through the driver door and the truck struggled to maintain speed going uphill. I was travelling upstate NY so there were many uphills! The truck also pulled slightly left. I don't expect luxury options in a moving truck, but white-knuckling it for 200+ miles was crazy! Couldn't return this piece of junk quick enough. My first bad experience with a UHaul rental. Hoping it was a one time occurrence.Matthew M.

If this location is going to advertise that they will be open at 9am for customers to pick up a vehicle, then the person who is responsible for handling the U-Haul rentals should not arrive at 9:20am. At the very least, extend an apology to those who were waiting because that was not forthcoming at all.KEVIN M.

It took 35 minutes for self pick-up. The barcode at the location was behind smoked glass and was not scannable. Your website was unless to help I had to chat with cust srvc and eventually had to log out and back in to get you site to work right. Self pick up is terrible.Mark W.

The owner was very pleasant. However, when I reserved the truck it was to be picked up at 7:00 AM on 8/20/20 in West Babylon, NY 5 minutes from my home. The day before I found out only by checking my reservation, I received no notification from u-haul that I had to pick the truck up in Northport 40 minutes from home at 9:00 AM. I arrived at 8:50 AM, the same time someone was returning the truck. The place didn't open until 9:20 AM, the truck was not cleaned, serviced or inspected, I was just given the keys. Your website says pick up at a convenient location for you - That is a blatant lie. My move was delayed over 3 hours from my original plans. I will have to think twice before using u-haul againMitchell W.

Truck had 81k miles and many problems, should have been scrapped a while agoDavid F.
I was very frustrated and annoyed with the U-Haul app. It was not recognizing my location in my phone even though I had location services on. I had to go to the website and then my phone was connected. This occurred on pick up and drop off. There was a 15-20 minute wait for help on the phone which is lengthy when I was in a schedule. I was instructed to use on line chat on U-Haul website but could not locate it- maybe it's there but not easy to utilize from my perspective. The 24 hour service is very convenient but I'm never sure if the app is going to work quickly or delay my scheduleDANIEL G.

You can honor the quoted rate, I received a quote on the phone and internet for 900 included miles. When I received my bill I was only giving 750 miles, which added to the charge for over mileage.Gustus L.

The pickup process was terrible, the representative called to find out why could get the truck and the person Anne was talking to told her that there was a nation wide outage. While this is not the fault of the location uhaul needs a backup method ro checking out a truck. Paperwork is a good backup, an hour of troubleshooting to try to get a truck is unacceptable and almost cost toy a customer as I was on the phone locking in another truck from a competitor when I was finally able to get the truckjames S.

First question is tricky. The location is in an automotive and marine repair shop. Not the cleanest place. However the service was outstanding,the vehicle was perfect for our needs. I would recommend highly.ROBERT S.

I returned my van after hours. I put a total of about 32.5 miles on the van including 6 miles or so that I used just to find an open gas station nearby. When I received my receipt in the morning I was built for 84 miles and a gallon of gas. When I called this station to inquire about it I was told that the computer automatically calculates everything and there was nothing they could and that I should call U-Haul customer service. I rent U-Haul Vans all the time and don't usually have problems like this at the larger U-Haul dealers. I kind of feel like this small gas station U-Haul franchise is trying to make a few extra dollars off of me.Jason L.
