Best experience so far with UHaul rental truck services. Truck was ready at time reserved. Reservation, picking up truck and dropping off was a breeze. The UHaul representative was professional and very helpful.
Delfina Mthe location was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The Truck was a POS though. The AC didnt work, and it was pretty beat up.

Audrey HI didn't know we had 2 U-Haul locations within a mile of each other. Both are excellent service centers. Very friendly and helpful. Dropping off the trailer was a simple process and they conveniently emailed me my receipt.

ROBERT FHorrible experience. I reserved a truck to move my storage unit. It was a 9 hour drive and I only had help for the weekend. Three different times they told me to come back and get a truck and there were none there. I watched numerous people come in and scream at the poor people who provide U-Haul‘s - who were the nicest people - and it wasn’t their fault that you all overbooked your trucks. Horrible horrible experience. I understand none of you really care if your customers are happy as long as you’re paid, but it’s shameful. I can’t wait for another company to come and take you out because eventually they will. People only take so much before they’re over it…and I watched A LOT of people be “over it” that day. Be better.

SVEINN TAdd a sign at the front of the UHaul parking lot full of trucks saying, “Office to the left at San Marcos Self Storage. There is a conflicting sign pointing to a UHaul mini storage next door that was confusing. We drove all over finding the right place. A sign would have helped.

MAXTON SIt was a little confusing where to pick up the keys. We pulled in the driveway and we found a U-Haul office with a key lock box but it turned out there is a second lock box at another building on the property. I would strongly recommend adding signage to direct to the other lockbox. Also the truck we had had some mechanical issues. The transmission was making weird noises at highway speeds 60mph. I was considering calling U-Haul for a new truck as I was nervous it was going to die.

KIRK GThe location is very confusing and unfit for rental of tow vehicles. I booked this rental at a location where the driveway and facility is at street level, but UHaul changed my pick up location against my will. I tried by phone and chat to get it switched back to the location I booked with, to no avail. The trailer was located down a very steep and very narrow driveway with a locked gate at the bottom. The first turn is too tight for a tow vehicle, so I was instructed by staff to drive to the back of the property, make a loop, then approach the turn from the other direction. This works but...really?...this is where you rent trailers from? I purchased the insurance for $184. I could not reach anyone by phone as I approached to return the trailer. There are two driveways that look very similar and are not well-labelled. I turned down the first one. I was standing there, looking up at a huge UHaul sign, and the person who answered the call button at the locked gate said, "Yah, that's storage, not UHaul, you turned down the wrong driveway, but we'll help you." He did help me, but I gotta tell you, I returned the trailer undamaged and cleaner than I received it, and I was still charged a cleaning fee because there was dust inside the trailer, despite my having swept and wet mopped the interior, and despite having paid $184 in insurance. Really? If the UHaul reservation system allows renters to select a location, that location choice should be honored. Sweeping and wet mopping should be enough cleaning to avoid a cleaning fee. On the bright side, the equipment was mechanically well-maintained. The staff are good, but the facility layout is inappropriate for the purpose of renting trailers.

The manager Danny Ortiz and his staff are an asset to this organization. As a business owner I was impressed by the level and quality of personal service cabs attention to detail in making my rental experience a pleasure. Those guts are great.
JOSEPH LWe rented a 26 foot truck.Parking lot is too small to maneuver on site and fronts on a highly traffic road. They should rent only a smaller equipment.
