William HI’ve moved a lot in my adult life and have always moved through U-haul. Most of my experiences have not been great in terms of customer service. But this location goes above and beyond. I believe I’ve gone through Neighborhood U-Haul about 3 times while living in the Santa Cruz area. No matter who is at the desk, I always get sincere, friendly and caring service. This location should be the model for every location. They make you feel like they truly care, and go out of their way to help.

David CExcellent service. I didn't have a reservation and showed up on Saturday to rent a vehicle. The person at the counter worked hard to show me my options and give what they had that would work best for me. Worked out great. I called in to ask how much gas I need to fill up the truck and the person told me what was in the tank when I left and how much I would need to put in according to the miles I drove with it. Kudos to the person working the yard who ran out to my car before I left to give me the parking pass I left hanging from the mirror. I really needed it and it would have been hard to replace. He literally ran out and gave it to me as I was driving away. Much thanks and appreciation. Highly recommended.

DENISE PBest uhaul experience yet! I went in a few times before to get moving supplies and everyone was incredibly pleasant.
Ali OI reserved a vehicle for 1:30pm and when I arrived I was told that I should have picked it up by 1 and that I needed to have it back by 1. The email that I received listed a pickup time of 1:30 and I was never informed of the change until after I arrived to pick up my Uhaul. The employee at the desk was rude and threatened to not lend me the Uhaul unless I complied with the new time. The situation was very uncomfortable for me and difficult to plan around. He also advised me not to park my car overnight because he ‘did not want to be responsible in case anything happened.’ I tried to drop off the vehicle at 8pm to accommodate the requested drop off time, but my car was blocked in by multiple other vehicles. Fortunately someone was present to help, as I would have been stuck otherwise. The process was much more uncomfortable and difficult than anticipated.

Nader NNo suggestions on improvement. But I would just like to comment on the guy who runs the place. I was not expecting my best customer service interaction in years to come from U-Haul. That guy was impeccable. Professional, knowledgeable and organized. He is top notch. Not sure how the cooperate structure of U-Haul works but you should really be looking into getting this guy more involved. Felt more like I was renting a Ferrari rather than a U-Haul.

Eric WHad no issues. When I arrived, there was another couple checking out, then the rep helped me. He was very professional and courteous. As he was helping me, it started getting busy, but he made sure I knew how to drop the truck back off after hours. He took me out to the truck and made sure I was good before heading back in to help the next customers. Drop-off was easy.
