Incredibly rude staff. There was some confusion about my drop off location. The person at this location yelled at me over the phone and refused to listen to me when I tried to explain that I had an "open" drop off location. The staff at the 8671 Central Ave location I picked up from told me I could drop off at any location. The person at "Sarab Inc 6530 Arlington Blvd" yelled "BE QUIET, YES OR NO? WAS MY STORE YOUR DROP OFF LOCATION" repeatedly and did not want to enter the return into the system. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.Gavin K.

Please check all lights are working properly before renting; rear driver's side was out. While the truck was physically in good condition, little things like lights, fluids, etc matter as well. Everybody there was very polite & personable. Thanks!PAULJONATHAN R.

This location is in a perfect location. This U-Haul is located at a check cashing business. You must PAY TO PARK ($10) your personal vehicle in their lot, or you can park on the residential street. Our truck was very clean.BRIAN B.
They tried to charge me to park my car in their parking lot when I went to rent their truck. I'm paying to use their services and their charging to park your car in their parking lot??? Ihad to park my car two blocks away on the public street because the employee said if I wasn't going to pay for the parking fee then my car would be towed?? Representative was pleasant, vehicle was like new and there were no issues with equipment or the transaction. Although it was to be set up for UHAUL app check-in - I was unable to use the app for this transaction, thankfully a representative was available to sign out the vehicle.RICHARD S.

The customer service representative at this U-Haul did not know the correct information for renting of a cargo van. My husband and I were trying to rent the smallest available U-Haul for an OUT-OF-TOWN trip. The representative told us we could rent a 9' cargo van to take it from Falls Church, VA to Richmond, VA (100 miles away). We were surprised because we were unable to do that online. But he assured us it would only be $50.00 fee to drop it off at a U-Haul in Richmond, VA. However, I got a text later in the evening saying the van was due back that same night (not even 24 hours later) at the U-Haul in Falls Church where we picked it up. When I called U-Haul (the 24/7 general number NOT the one in Falls Church, since it was already closed), the caller informed us it would be VERY expensive to drop the van off in Richmond, so much MORE than the $50.00 fee were told. So we had to take our entire weekend to try to sort out the situation so we lose the least amount of money. Because we had already completely packed the van by the time I got the text that said the U-Haul was due at the same location. I would NEVER go back to this location and I would NEVER tell someone to go here.SURAYERORI S.
A mixed experience here. The hit: the cargo van was good and up to the task, and I was offered water at the office. The misses: the van was over an hour late and I was not offered any compensation for the lost precious time; I ordered a dolly but did not get one and the office manager never checked it was not in the van before I left; despite me being very late and short on time and despite me filling all needed details online the manager kept asking for the same again and manually reentering the details - absurdly so; I was not told what my bill was upon returning the car and leaving the office - how can customers be kept in the dark? I then received an invoice for another person - but with my address and to my email; I also received an email copy of the rental contract which was not in my name; my credit card was then charged four times for an amount I didn't recognize and felt that was not my invoice; I then waited over an hour on hold to get through to a customer rep who finally clarified my final bill (which didn't include any discount for the late provision of the car. All in all I got the job done but the amount of errors on uhaul's side and my extra efforts to address them were completely unacceptable. So you may want to consider an improvement, or a few, to generate a smoother customer experienceHECTOR S.

The gentleman that I spoke with stated that I could bring back the truck at 4pm at no extra charge but I was charged. Made several attempts to contact customer service, first attempt I waited over 40 minutes no one answered my call. Second attempt is now over an hour and no one have answered my call. LOCATION was excellent- very friendly and helpful person at this site. Your customer service reps on your national line are absolutely awful. Look at my account- I called multiple times and there were multiple problems with my simple order. Email address was transcribed wrong the first time. And a second time (its my name!). Then I was told I could go and pick up my truck at ANY TIME (24/7). This is wrong. I waited in my car for 45 min until the location opened. Plus, the operating hours for this location was incorrectly advertised- they opened at 9 and not 11.BRIANJARED R.

Better to rent from a full service store. Didn't have the dollies or furniture pads I reserved. Sent me to another location on Broad Street to get the missing items. That store wasn't interested in helping me because I didn't rent the truck there. Never using UHaul again.CHARLES P.

The app had this as 3 possible positions for drop off. When I completed the drop off procedure, I went inside and was told this was not a drop off location. I called customer support and they were very helpful and the location I ended up dropping off at was extremely helpful and apologetic.William R.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. The store didn't keep the posted operating hours. They were a half hour late showing up in the morning. The truck's door didn't function which made it difficult to load and unload. And when I arrived to return the vehicle at the agreed upon time, there was no one there again. This establishment is not a real U-Haul place. Lesson learned, I will not rent from this location again- and possibly U-Haul because this experience was so negative.Kelly A.

The rating at Rahana is no accident - they are super-professional, thorough, and go the extra mile. No rushing through pre-rental inspection: they take the time to review the van inside and out with you, marking any damage for you on the form. I wasn't sure I was in the right place because I didn't see a bunch of vehicles out front, but then my van appeared out of nowhere, right on time. I will rent from Rahana again!Michael R.
