The pick up and drop off experience was great. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated with reservations of the equipment. I reserved a 20 ft truck on 5-5-2026 for pickup on 5-28-2026 at 9am, I was not told until after 6pm pm, 5-27-2026, the night before we loaded that no 20ft truck was available at all, I could have a 15ft truck. I, on a deadline, to load and move had to sacrifice a portion of furniture and household goods to charity due to UHaul’s lack of promised/ reserved equipment. The drive to obtain my truck was 45 minutes, 1 way, to obtain the 15 ft truck instead of down the street. I called another truck provider and was told this is a very common experience. I stayed with UHaul to avoid the high pricing for a last minute truck with that company. They are making a lot of money due to UHauls lack of responsibility to their customers. I’m not sure how this business plan was arrived at by UHaul. I suppose it works for you. I will hesitate to use and will not recommend UHaul in the future due to this experience. As noted previously. The actual providers in the field were so kind and helpful. But I was surprised in a very bad way by your online process of service. This was my first experience and last experience. Something needs to be done as a provider as more people are I’m sure wanting to save and do it themselves. UHaul owes a level of responsibility for the online experience as a important service, this online service represents your company to your customer. People do remember and speak to the service provided and how it makes them feel. I write this review so that maybe another person can have a better experience in the reservation process. Yes I understand there is a limited number of trucks, but if a reservation well in advance is made, a person should be able to have confidence in that contract and not find out after 6 pm the night before and go through more stress and inconvenience due to a company not abiding by what was agreed upon.

madeline rThe trailer had a tire that had a rusted rim and the tire flattened after it was loaded. I called the garage to let them know and they asked me if I could bring the trailer to get the tire changed. I said no, because that would be extremely dangerous with a flat tire. I had to buy a hydraulic jack to unhook it from my vehicle because the trailer is not equipped with anything that allows you to raise it off the hitch. This needs to be changed!!!! So, a garage service was sent to my location to change the tire. The guy who came yelled at me and acted hostile while I was trying to back up to the hitch because I was having difficulty, mainly due to his inability to properly guide me. He was extremely rude and impatient. I drove with the 6’x12’ trailer from Virginia to Texas over three days. I turned the trailer in to a storage facility on the fourth day, yet received two separate phone calls from the facility during the following week asking when I was going to turn in the trailer. Overall, this was a horrible experience.
DIANA FBetter truck maintenance and clarification by your customer service people that none of your trucks have a tailgate lift, only a ramp. I wanted a lift help with moving heavy items.

Leslie WOriginally scheduled a 6pm pickup for AMG FLEET SERVICES in Staunton, VA. At first call they were offended i scheduled something at 6, since that's when they close. I just chose that because it was available on the site. They called me back later after planning my 7hr trip to say that they close at 4 not 6 and if I cant get there by 330 they were moving my reservation to elsewhere. I planned my entire drive on hitting their location. They were rude on the phone and I'll advise anyone against renting there and will leave a review on Google. Thankfully I was re directed to sauers garage which added over an hour to my drive. But the people were great to deal with and kind. They waited a little after closing to make sure I could get the trailer because I got caught behind the interstate closing. If I had kept my appointment at amg, I would have screwed as they weren't willing to do anything extra. Would definitely rent from sauers again if needed.
