The process for picking up the truck was overcomplicated and took way longer than it should have. After my reservation was moved to a different location and the time changed, I was forced to start the day an hour behind schedule. Upon arrival, I was (incorrectly) told that I was signed up for a "24-hour pickup" and that the key would be in a lock box for which I should have received a code and that he couldn't help me at the front desk. After searching for 15 minutes for a code through emails and text updates, I called the number and they told me that the front desk could indeed help me, so I then had to go wait behind other customers to go through their process before I could get mine. The person behind the desk was nice enough, but clearly overwhelmed with running both the storage facility and the uhaul rentals at the same time (and with apparently very slow computers).James M.

Your system of phone rotation SUCKS...I went 40 minutes out of my way before realizing I was heading to the wrong address....Until the last call did I not find out that I was not talking to the Old Knight location...That needs to be explained to the customer on the first call to UHAUL...If I had known the procedure from the get go it would have been a breeze......Not to mention the check in procedure takes forever.....Michelle Peed was a life saver in me not going over the deep end....Van was very nice....DanDan B.

Uhaul app did not work properly and the directions to obtain the gate code was not clear. It took about an hour to get past the gate and access the van. Self storage personnel were polite but said they were not allowed to assist disconnecting trailer. I was instructed to drive it to the rear of the storage units and back it into a slot and unhook it myself, which I did because I've backed and maneuvered trailers for years; (I'm 77). My Original reservation was with Mario's Deli & Grill, Wendell, NC. When I arrived I was informed that the 9' Cargo Van was unavailable and would need to call customer service to change my reservation or get their only available 15' truck at the same price. This location was fine. The problem I had was the fact that I reserved this trailer on the U-Haul app the night before. When I showed up for my reservation, the trailer wasn't there (U-Haul Mario's Deli & Grill- 2317 Eagle Rock Rd Wendell). The lady at this location persisted that she send me to the next locationâ€¦ took my credit card and ID, and set me up for another pickup somewhere else. On my way there I received a call from U-haul corporate saying the equipment isn't at the next location either and re-routed me to another location. I dropped off the truck that literally needed 2 gallons of gas and they wanted to charge me for a 1/4 tank, so I went and filled it up. I told him that I had a terrible experience and he just shrugged his shoulders. U-haul used to be a great way to rent a truck, but after this experience I don't think I'll ever rent one again.RICHARD T.

I would rate the service I received from using the mobile check-in and the rep that had to approve my information as Poor. It took entirely too long for the process. I rent from Uhaul all of the time and this was by far the worst experience yet using the mobile app. It took so long that I went inside to try and get help from the guy who was there but unfortunately it seemed that uhaul's system was down. I will say that the truck we rented was very dirty on the outside when I went to get it. There was mud all over the wheel base and it was just overall dirty. I suggest finding a way to make the mobile check in process a lot easier and quicker for repeat customers.AUDRA T.

There are literally no parking spaces at the location. It was not easy to get the truck out of the fence. The key drop box was not easily visible. There should have been a sign by the building that stated where the drop box was located.Lisa S.

The gentleman at the desk was very nice, helpful and friendly. When returning the uhaul it would be convenient for the overnight drop box to have a sign above or some sort of indication to bring direction to the customer. My husband and I were unable to find it unfortunately. Other than that, our experience was very good with this location. We had no problems getting the rental and no problems with the rental.
