Nothing, very friendly and helpful
Melissa KThis place was a bit difficult to get into, there weren't many parking spaces, and there wasn't much space for incoming trucks being dropped off. I got the last parking space and my boyfriend got the last position for the truck drop off. We were able to close out pretty quickly, but if there had been another truck dropoff my boyfriend would have had to blindly back the truck down the hill and around the corner while we waited. At the very least the broken down moldy vehicles ought not to be taking up parking spaces in front of this location. The inside was kind of like a dive bar, including the blaring tv set to Fox News and a smattering of signage / “art”. Attendant was gruff but efficient. It wasn't worth the 34$ savings to drop off here — stressful and out of the way.
JESSICA FThe owner/operator of this location was unavailable and rude. The vehicle interior had been sprayed down with a hose. The cup holders had water in them and the seats were wet. The vehicle gas gage was on empty when we initially started it. Behind the vehicle was a car that had been torn apart and vandalized. We were unable to back the van out because of the vandalozed vehicle, and had to pull forward over a curb. We brought the van back with more fuel than we started with. The owner reimbursed us since the van was empty when we rented it.

Clinton FNot charge them when the company’s vehicle dies. I did not receive a refund for the rental and ended up behind my moving schedule by 5 hours. What would have been a one trip turned into multiple back and forth across town up until 10pm when my move in time was supposed to me 2pm. Would not rent with this company again. Customer service was excellent and the person over the phone was great.

Trevor PI arrived late and the man was running behind as well. I ended up walking out an hour after my reservation time. He extended my deadline that still allowed me the same time with the truck. Regardless of him being busy and my being late he was still incredibly kind and respectful. I would recommend that location to a friend. Friendly and kind customer service goes a long ways!

Thea MWe didn't receive the hand truck, the matteess protection we ordered (2) . The place we ordered from sent us to someone else, we get there hes late, soon as our card went thru they lost power so nothing was communicated not even a drop off time. Also never ever ever use uhauls trusted movers, what a joke. Easily 5500 busted. 2 60 in tvs destroyed, newer couch huge whole in it, 2 busted zippers on couch, freezer was new and looked like it had been man handled, antique dressers huge gouged marks, everything looks pushed on flooring despite paying and having uhaul blankets and bundgies, just A cluster F*** inexperienced and wearing flip flops, they also dont load boxes above 4 feet and then shoved couch and freezer so nothing could get behind. Just lazy men with no knowledge of packing. Save your $$
Nicola TWhen I ordered the truck and the dolly I saw the payment to be $150.00 dollars but I got charged way more money like $440.19 and now they are taking out more money $290.40 for what? This is not good business there for I am not going back to this business again ever.
Jonathan WUhaul facility was late opening at 9am. Truck discharged at 9.45am. The Dolly was not used but charged as used. The cable was never broken to indicate useage.

Even though i reserved the truck, I had to wait over 45 minutes while he attempted to clean it The truck was dirty inside without any gas. Horrible experience

Shahaddah BWhen we picked up the Uhaul we were told to “inspect it” ourselves. The truck had a nail in the tire. The guy told us to take it to Les Schwab and they would fix it for free. We did and they found a screw in the wall of the tire as well as a nail. Said they would have to replace it. We asked if it would still drive as we’re were under a time limit. They said yes. We took it to the shop and when we opened the back there was blood spit on the side of the interior wall by the door. Honestly it is completely unacceptable it was clear that no one had done an inspection on the vehicle.

Natalie WI've done three personal moves in the last year, and interacted with six different U-Haul outlets to secure the three trucks that I ended up using. The two men I dealt with at Self Serve Garage were by far the most friendly and helpful. Their service was outstanding. They answered all my questions and gave clear explanations. The truck they reserved for me was there on the correct day, and my driver was able to get underway with it on time. Self Serve Garage is my new go-to outlet for renting a U-Haul in the Tacoma area. Thanks, gentlemen!
RODERICK GThe day I picked up the trailer, the employee did not send me the contract to my email, he did not specify the return date and location until I asked and I was told that I could drop off at any Uhaul location. I dropped off the next day, guess what, he called me a day later told me that I supposed to drop off at the same location. So I told them I have dropped off already and they took note, guess what, now they are trying to charge me for $90 for late return and wrong location. These guys are scammers, stay away from this location.

Vicki RTruck we booked in advance, broke down after a block. My brother walked back to uhaul because it was only a block away. The U-Haul employee told him to take his personal vehicle " go throw some money in this gas can and throw $10 in mine while you're at it". We had no transportation or help while there since we flew in from Oklahoma. After we were able to get gas in it, it broke down about a mile out. After reporting it and waiting three hours someone finally showed up. They said "oh yea!, We figured the gas was drained from it because the gask tank was open but it looks like they drilled a hole in the gas tank, so we will just patch it and you can be on your way. With the amount of issues it already had there was no way we were going to drive it from Washington State to Oklahoma. We asked for a new truck and were told they didn't have anymore. So we asked that they check other locations. They found another one but tries to charge another $200 for it! The one make worker said he was going to credit my account for the money that was put in the first truck, and just drained out. It wasn't credited. UHaul corporate said they were going to speak to a few people and get back to us. That was about a week ago, still haven't heard from anyone. We lost a day of work due to the insanity they were pulling. We had to spend extra money to extend hotel stays, appointments and cancellations. It was the worst experience I have ever had. No one seems to be too bothered by it to do anything about it. I will never use Uhaul again, I will always give my honest experience with what we dealt with and went through. If I ever treated a customer the way we were treated, I would be sick with embarrassment and shame! No returned calls, no discounts, absolutely nothing. The fact that it out is even more behind and out hundreds of dollars because of how WE we're treated is far from "good customer service", No sympathy. In all honesty I don't really believe anyone really gave a shit! I sincerely hope nobody else has to deal with anything like this! It was and has been a complete nightmare. Maybe posting our experience, will get the right people aware of what happened. Good luck truck hunting!
