Have the confirmed truck available at the confirmed location. My reservation got switched at the last minute and was a longer drive. I'd set it up for picking up in the store. When I arrived at the store, I was abruptly told the person that handles that isn't in today and I have to do it through the app. Call the phone number for service and he helps me out get in the truck and the pads and dolly if ordered aren't in there. Call the number again. Told to go to my original location to get them. Start the truck, check engine light is on. Call the number AGAIN and get moved to another truck that runs well enough. Just a horrible U-Haul experience all around. I will be using other companies the next time I need truck rental.William C.
Not very good service. Back of trail was still filled with trash and dirt. Needed to be swept. It was a hassle trying to leave the place as a trailer was still connected. It took 60 min in all to complete the transaction and to get the trailer disconnected. I ordered 2 dozen blankets and got six blankets. They did not have an appliance dolly so I had to take a regular one. The one thing I can say, is that they did have the truck.Andrew R.

I am so VERY dissatisfied with this location!!!!! We rented the truck from the Simko BP gas station at 11940 Tesson Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO. We had the truck for 1 and a half days (2 days charge). Our mileage was app. 289.2 miles and they charged us for 353.0 miles. This in return over charged us by $50.40. On top of that my husband put gas back in the truck when he dropped it off, BUT NO they said we did not put gas in it and charged us a $30.00 fee for their inconvenience (haha) and $20.25 ($4.50 a gal) for the gas on top of that. We have the receipt showing the gas my husband put in at their station!!!! AND to top all of this off the truck broke down (oil light came on and oil pressure dropped from app. 45 down to 10 on the gauge) on the way home and my husband and son had to sit on the side of the highway for over 2 hours waiting for repair. I have contacted U-Haul the company and reported my concerns. I am now waiting for a response from them.KEVIN D.

It would be good to have the equipment available that the customer reserves in advance. I reserved a 15' truck and it was not there and had to take a 20' truck. Charge the price quoted. I was quoted 29.95 day and when given 20' truck told I needed to pay 39.95. Do what you say you are going to do. I was told 20 foot would cost 29.95/day and then billed 39.95. Have a printer available to print your bill so you can dispute problems. No printer was available and was told my bill would be e-mailed to me. It was and the bs above was never taken care of. Also told that the $33 discount was for discrepancy in gas in the truck, when engaged it was 31 miles to empty and manager told me it had to come back 1/4 full at least, which it was. Bad rental I would not recommend or use ever again.THOMAS D.

U-Haul sent me to a location where there was no truck in the size I needed. When I got to another location, the truck was dirty, and the gas gauge and mileage did not match the UHaul system. A U-Haul rep who sent me to the second location said I would get a $50 credit for the extra hassle (and time lost), but I did not get that credit on my bill. This rental was for my church, and we have used your system many times. This is our first bad experience, and we don't know what went so very wrong to lead to this.WESLEY M.

The owner obviously does not work out of this location. The 12 packing blankets I rented were all filthy and on the dirty floor of an old car wash building. My online order had a furniture dolly that I was told was not available the day I showed up to get the truck. I had also requested an auto transport that I was told I would have to pick up at another location. I received a call late in the day that I was moving regarding the auto carrier. It was too late. I had to leave me car in STL and drive the truck to VA the and fly back to STL once I moved into my new place in Virginia. Then I had to drive another two days back to VA. Clerk at location was unable to process my reserved and checked in rental. I was handed a phone number on a piece of paper. I called and assumed owner requested I wait 10 minutes for them to arrive. Upon arrival of said owner and a hastily handled check in I was directed to a trailer blocked in by another rental truck, to which owner had no key available to move. I personally had to lift and maneuver the trailer out of it's space to be hooked up to my vehicle. The owner made no effort in moving the trailer himself, and and seemed to have to concern about losing the rental. Worst service ever and I've rented numerous trailers in multiple states over the last decade. I'll be looking for an alternative next time I need a rental.Ronald K.

The dust in the building is DISGUSTING. Literally visible LAYERS of dust everywhere. There were 2 employees, one was just sitting there doing nothing the entire 45 minutes we were trying to get a truckâ€¦ And the other took her time and kept stopping what she was doing to do other things (like play with the dog that's in store) when we were trying to get helped. I was the only customer in there. There's no way they were too busy to get it done quicker and not have time to clean that place in the mean time.Charity S.

Gas station was pretty dumpy. Communication from uhaul was poor. No email confirmation of pickup location, voicemail indicated incorrect address, and text message was evidently sent to the wrong number, resulting in me going to the wrong location, having to call customer service, being on-hold to get the correct address, which delayed my packing and move.Greg V.

I would rent here again, however I was disappointed with how unclean the truck bed was. Also, a window had been left half down long enough for rain and a couple small spiders to get in...yuck. I did my rental online, and the location I picked did not contain the type of truck I wanted. So they moved my location. I asked for 8:30, my online account said 8:30, but when I got to the place for my mobile check in I had to wait until 9:00pm. The mobile check in process also took 30 minutes, and there was a guy right there who could have checked it out to me way sooner. They also measure their trucks including the engine. So if you want 15 feet of storage space go with a truck bigger than the 15 foot truck.Lauren W.

Made reservations at behind the bluff in Fenton mo and didn't have a truck so they sent us to another off tesson ferry which wasn't ready for 3 1/2 hours past my reserved time. Both places said I would get a 50 dollar credit. I didn't retur. The truck my husband did and they did not give a credit. So I called Monday and the lady argued that I was not getting my credit because I never had a reservation. Here is my reservation #20563566. I would like someone to contact at 314-302-8491. I'm not sure why 2 people would tell me from 2 different uhaul pick ups that I would get 50 dollar credit and now your saying I don't. Very disappointed in the customer service. Horrific... Horrible... Disgusting experience. Every time, at this location, the franchisee is never there and there is no one to HELP. THIRD TIME THIS HAPPENED AT YOUR LOCATION! I was not able to complete the app/web login because of this issue. The vehicle was filthy and smelled of some when I got it. When I returned the vehicle, I specified that it was dirty and specified that it was not me who left it that way. And you charged me for reporting this to you. I requested a call back, but nobody called. Remove the $25 immediately. Also, expect a BBB complaint and a cc dispute!Dejan D.

There were no U-haul supplies available to purchase. The size truck I reserved over a week in advance was not available so they gave me a smaller truck. The furniture pads were not ready when I arrived so I waited 45 minutes for them to be brought to this location. Almost none of the information was explained to me such as fill the gas tank up, fold up the pads, etc. Also I arrived on time to when I was supposed to be picking up the truck and the gentleman to check it out to me was on lunch so he checked it out over the phone. Requiring a cell phone that can take pictures is an invasion of privacy and is asking too much from customers. Also, I requested a paper copy of the receipt after the rental was returned and I was told I could not get a paper receipt, but that e-mailed receipts were all I would be provided. There were several cigarette butts in the cab of the truck as well as 3 empty energy drink cans. I was told the gas was full but immediately put almost $20 of fuel in the tank. I must say that overall my experience was good. And even the complaint that I have is relatively minor. However, I rented the truck for a short time period, 3 hours, and only traveled 12 miles. After my rental I put in one and a half gallons of gas. Later I was billed an additional 3 gallons of gas for 12+ dollars. In perspective, this is not a big deal. But how in the world can 12 miles equal 4 1/2 gallons of gas? I like being a good customer. I'd like to return the equipment clean and in good condition. Spoke to the representative at this particular U-Haul and they claim that I brought the truck back 3/4 full I showed the person when I returned it that it was full I put gas in it at the gas station that the U-Haul office is located inside of. Claiming that it was only 3/4 full. This person is a crook. I only drove 16 miles. I put over a gallon of gas in to bring it back to full. I am infuriated.DAVID T.

I was very disappointed with the bait and switch tactics at this reantal facilty on 11940 Tesson Ferry Rd. I reserved this 20' truck a couple of weeks ago at $0.79/mi on-line, and when I picked up the truck I was told the rate was now $1.00/mi, and then when I dropped the truck back early, I was charged $1.09/mi.. This is not acceptable and not how I would expect a well known company like U-Haul to operate their business? Note: the truck was fine and I had no issues with its' functionality. Uhaul gives their busy (pick up location) to whoever. This pickup is horrible. No one can speak English and very rude! Not only was the pickup location horrible so was Uhaul CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their phone/computer pick-up keys is not user-friendly at ALL. So, you call the 1800 number for help.... you never get anyone, and then it hangs upon you. When picking up my rental, I was able to access the lockbox, but the key for my truck was not in there. I had to go into the location to get the correct key. I also ordered furniture pads and a dolly with my truck, but they were not included in my rental. I was charged for them and have reached out to customer service to be reimbursed for these charges. In the future, I'll be going to a true UHaul location rather than a self-service site for a more seamless and accurate experience.Anne P.

The vendor who handled the rental was terrible. He didn't give me the furniture pads and dollys requested. When I called him, he wanted me to drive the truck back over to pick them up. I got and paid for an appliance dolly. He tried to give me the smaller dolly. It was a one way rental. I asked him to give me the drop off location and he told me he couldn't do that and gave me a phone number. When I called the number to get the drop off location, the place was closed. I called the vendor for help, he texted me that he couldn't talk to me and told me to google it and just drop the truck off somewhere. I spent 40 mins on hold with 800GoUhaul. I finally got ahold of someone, Rhonda, who was outstanding. I cannot say how much I appreciated Rhonda and her help. She was a great representative of your company. This vendor is NOT.
