I called to tell them I would be 15 minutes late. My call went to a call center which took 30 minutes to answer and when they did they told me to call the store directly which I thought I was which the call center made me too late to even talk to them because they had closed by then. Then I went to pick up the truck at the 24 hour rental, and they had my email completely wrong so I wasn't receiving any emails, and they had only wanted me to rent it for 10 hours instead of the 24 hours that I had requested. After waiting for hours in the hot sun they finally got my reservation verified. Then gave me a truck number to go look for on the lot, and when I found it it was half the size of the truck I needed. So it made me over a day late with my move. Then I had to go to another location to pick up the truck size that I actually need it. It had messed me up with my move and my work schedule and my moving schedule. This was totally inconvenient in every way.michael A.

Was quoted $106. Charged almost $200. Equipment non-functional. A/C did not work. Miserable. Let dealer know and he stated he notified U-Haul several times and no response. Truck was filthy inside cab and cargo area. Turned truck in within 24 hours. He stated just leave key on counter and I will check it in tomorrow. No paperwork provided. Emailed without consent. I rent u-haul al lot and will not go to this location. Unprofessional and will not let customer finish sentence when speaking.CHERYL P.

We rented a truck from the Peoria location... the reservation was changed the night before pick up to this location in Youngstown (an extra 10 miles each way). We had no choice but to pay for the additional miles to pick up and drop off the truck. This was an inconvenience that we were forced to pay for. Not satisfied.BRYAN S.

I'm saddened to say this location I will never use again! They said we could have the vehicle for 24 hours, several times as we were thinking just needed for about an hour. They said if millage was less it would be adjusted. They tried charging over, when questioned they corrected. When I got the bill it was more, Called and they said they would make the adjustment. Got another statement and it had 3 holds on the card! I called back they were rude, and short said they are "just a hub" and they don't do anything about the pricing but believe that it will be fixed by Monday. So guess I'll wait till Monday. I Will never shop or do business with this location again.Donna C.
Truck that was reserved had no keys and no equipment. Waited for almost an hour for someone to show up to fix it. Ultimately, we wound up with a different (smaller) truck with no equipment. And they charged us for BOTH trucks and the equipment that was never there. Was given a contact number to call and resolve the issue with on Monday. Left messages, no word back. I had about 15 people standing around for two hours waiting on the truck situation to be resolved, then double charged. Will never use this location again.Brandi H.
I reserved a different location and they did not have my reservation even though it was confirmed by U haul. When I tried to pickup my truck at a different location the app did not work so I had to use support so it was a 45 minute process to finally get the truck. When I finally got the truck to my moving location the rear lock wouldn't open because it needed to be lubed. After I finally got the lock open I saw none of the optional equipment I rented was included so I called support again, they said I wouldn't be charged for the equipment so I went and bought my own dolly to move. After returning the truck swept and cleaned as requested I was still charged for the equipment that wasn't included in my rental contract. I recommend another moving vehicle company as u haul was headache after headache when you are already taking on the large task of moving.Uriah M.

The Simply Raw Honey & CBD location is awesome. Service at that location was great. Overall uhaul experience for this uhaul rental experience rates no higher then 2.5 stars. I requested a van for pickup at 0900 on Sat 1 May. Wound up with a van for pickup at a location that doesn't open until 0930 & somehow my 'pickup time' turned out to be 1000. This screwup...by UHAUL totally messed up my plans that were clock based & cost me ...time & money. I have used Uhaul for years & must this is an absolute Uhaul ah shit. I had an appointment to 'pickup' something at 1000...and because of this 'ah shit' ...I was late...and that is not acceptable... Jury is still out about my future renting from uhaul...Carolyn A.

I have rented u-hauls more times than I can count and I NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I reserved a 6'x12' trailer and an appliance dolly for 3pm.. being told the dolly was on its way, waited in their parking lot until 4pm then was told guaranteed by 5pm, called them at 5:30pm was told guaranteed by 6pm.. FINALLY 7:12PM He dumped a UTILITY DOLLY off on my front porch and took off!! (Ever try to handle a huge $3500 refrigerator with a dolly not even big enough for a rubbermaid tote??) Said I have 24hours so I made sure everything was back before 7:12pm the next day and THEY CHARGED ME FOR AN EXTRA DAY!! I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO CALL U-HAUL CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLY TO SIT ON HOLD FOR AN HOUR EACH TIME BEFORE GIVING UP SO HAVE DISPUTED THE CHARGES WITH MY BANK! SURE WOULD BE NICE IF U-HAUL CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD ANSWER THEIR CUSTOMER CALLS!! NOT SURE I WILL EVER DEAL WITH U-HAUL AGAIN AND DEFINITELY NOT WITH THESE PEOPLE!! By the way, when her husband answered my fourth phone call asking where my dolly was he lost his mind screaming he only gets $8 for every $100 u-haul transaction and how sick he is of u-haul and will be cancelling his contract with you next month. I told him that's not my problem my problem is I've been waiting almost 5hours for a dolly I had reserved AND PAID FOR!! He hung up!! I want a FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY OR YOU LOST A VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER AND I'LL FIND ANOTHER WAY TO MOVE THE REST OF MY HOUSE!!SANDRA S.

While the service was great, I have been disappointed with the follow up on an overcharge issue. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact the Mr. Schuyleman on numerous occasions, both by phone, and email. The date of service was Feb 2, 2021. As of today, April 15, 2021, I have not heard back from him or his representative. I will be mailing the store a certified letter today, in hopes of receiving a reply. I am especially upset as I had planned on using Simply Raw Honey & CBD for another UHaul rental.VIRGINIA C.

Hard to answer. Was told at pick-up that the truck was not in the best condition. The store owner seemed concerned. Said he was probably making more of an issue about it then necessary but still puts the concern in your mind. Seemed to be mostly minor cosmetic issues. I also was not able to get a copy of my contract even though it was sent several times. Each time the attached document was corrupted and I could not open it. I had to call the main U-Haul customer service line to get a copy. I was also told at this location that I could do a night drop but when I asked the customer service rep I was told the drop off location did NOT offer night drop. The whole experience was very confusing as I finally was able to figure out on my own that there was a night drop off if I used the mobile app. Seems there needs to be better consistency across the board.Paul B.

I initially requested to selected a drop off at my convenience. I received a call/text from this location. It was drive from where I was at. After calling the 800 uhaul number on my order form, I was told I'd get a $20 refund if I went to this location. I have yet to see the refund.Caroline A.
