It would be nice to be told that towing a full trailer with my car wouldn't work. We had to end up trading in a trailer for a truck plus my car isn't doing well now. I don't know much about how much a typical car can pull with a trailer so it would have been nice to be told to just go ahead and get the truck in the first place instead of realizing that as we're on our way to our new place.

It's recommended for whom have reserved the trucks days before, the trucks needed to be ready on the night before their scheduled day and not on the same day of their scheduled day to avoid any delay.

Setup the pick up time for 8:30AM. I lived an hour and a half away. Rushed all morning to make it on time. Got there and the owner was out getting coffee and running errands. She was about 20 minutes late. I said to the employee and I quote "this is a little unprofessional" and he freaks the hell out. Starts screaming at me that when he tells his boss this she will say the same thing and I quote "Kick you the fuck out". This guy then starts passing like a caged wild animal. I know rage and this guy had it. Clenching his fist staring at me intensely. Unfortunately, I had to kiss his butt because my ride left and I didnt want to be stranded in the middle of no where. If I were U-Haul, I would pull your franchise from them. Your being represented poorly. So bad in fact, I can see this guy being a lawsuit for a future customer.

Personnel looked at paperwork and that was all. I had to disconnect the trailer from my vehicle. They never went outside to help or inspect the trailer condition.

This location was a last minute drop off location because our original drop off location (Eagles Nest, NM) would not accept our equipment. I'm not happy about that as we paid extra to drop off at the Eagles Nest location. Thankfully , the Six M location was available. I did not get to interact directly with this location as they were closed by the time we got there so I can't provide specific feedback about the location other than I am thankful it was available for us.

They are the ones that informed me they would have to clean out the truck before they could pass it on to another customer. She was really nice about it but I was not impressed with U-Haul charging me.

On returning the truck, I needed to fill the tank to 5/8, as that was were it was when I picked the truck up. I was filling the tank and watching the gas gauge, but the gauge evidently stuck at 1/2 full and then the gas pump shut off, so I over filled the tank. I also brought the truck back one day early. There ought to be a credit for early return.

I wanted to pick up my 2001 dodge 1500 single cab with 6 ft bed it was sapose to be a quick 1hr job insted it costs me to miss two days of work and unneeded 500 mile trip to lubbock for a reaplecment car hauler that was the same size as the one I had. I called ahead 3 day to make sure that my pickup would fit on the car hauler and that there would be one avalable I went in to the location they asked what I was going to use to pulling the car hauler then they asked what I was going to haul I was told that my pickup would fit on the car hauler then I paid and signed the paper work from here on it was nothing but hell the uhaul agent hooked up the trailer inspected that all the lights were working but did not disengage the emergency break on the trailer. I did not inspect that it was hooked up correct because I have done business with uhaul for years and most location train their staff know what they are doing I took off my tahoe was having trouble pulling the car hauler it felt like it was pulling a loaded trailer so I pulled over and called location since I had just pulled out of their parking lot they told me that it would be ok and to continue on I then drove 10 miles and decided to go home and inspect the trailer for my self just to be safe as I pulled in to my drive way I notice smoke coming from the back of my tahoe I then walked to the back and notice the hubs on the car hauler were smoking real bad and appeared to be on fire I got my water hose and put out the fires I then inspected the trailer and notice the emergency break on the trailer was not disengage and the trailer was not properly attached to my tahoe. Not only was the break engaged but the hitch was lose and not sacured properly if I would of drove any further it could of came lose or I could of had blown out the tires on the trailer and damaged the trailer due to it not being properly secured to my tahoe. But worst off uhaul put my life in jeopardy because I could of had a accident and gotten injured. Well now my engine is knocking and is not running the same I got in trouble at work because I had to call in for two days my supervisor could not believe that a u haul location would actually do something that stupid i missed the first day because the location sent their mechanic to fix the trail he could not do nothing then I was told to call customer service I exained the situation and they told me a u haul mechanic would come to my locaton they gave me a approximate time I told them this situation was going to cause me to miss work because I work night shift They told me they were sorry and that uhaul would reimburse me for missing work because it was their fault for not properly attaching the trailer I rgen received a phone call from the mechanic and ge informed me that he could not get to my location till the next day and he felt from our conversation that the trailer was not safe ro pull untill he looked at it and inspected it he told me to call customer service I called c

they were closed for the whole week so was told to drop off trailer at entrance which was locked, so never spoke with anyone. Was concerned, didn't want trailer to get stolen, but I called 800 # and they assured me it was okay to leave it there. Assuming they came and pulled it in.

A week before our pickup date I changed to a 17 ' truck. We could have used a 20 ' truck if a 17 was not available. The 15' truck was the only one available and we made it work. They offered us a 26' but that was way to big. We were suppose to pick our truck up in p tx but had to go to Clayton nm. No problem. We flew into Amarillo tx and with all the dealers there I thought one would be available. The dealer in Clayton did not have hardly any furniture pads available and thanks to the gentlemen in Amarillo who was staying a little late after work we were able to rent 36 pads. The original person I talked to said if we made it to their shop by 7pm he would pass the word on that we were coming. He must have forgot because all of the doors were locked and the guy who stayed a little late was able to help us. He said he did not know we were coming. He gave us 36 pads and did the paperwork in coordination with Clayton nm. Other than that the truck ran great and did not have any trouble. Great gas mileage 14mpg. It would be nice if the height of the van was alittle higher inside to stand a couch on end to conserve room
