The man who worked the counter was hard of hearing but sat at the computer the was a good 25 feet away. This led to an altercation because he and I were both frustrated with communication. We got to the point where he told me the mileage he quoted me the miles of 258 for the trip. I explained that it was not near enough after giving him how many mailed I would need to get from Raton to Clayton where I was moving from and then to Dulce where I was moving to. Then from Dulce to Pagosa Springs where I was dropping off. He tells me that he can’t to anything about it. Hands me my license and tells me bye. Customer service from U-Haul talked to him I guess and smooth things over. They gave me an extra 250 miles. Which was not enough because I had to pay an extra 76 dollars for miles. The route I took is a typical route from Clayton to Dulce to avid going over a steep mountain pass and instead travel on an interstate for a good portion of the trip. When it was time to give me the keys he gave them but did not come out and help inspect the truck. I did that on my own. We got an appliance dolly that was defective as the latch just twirled around and would not lock. I am sure that was no accident. I move often because of my job and after that experience with this man, giving me defective equipment, and having to pay 84 dollars in extra miles just because I wanted to drive a safe route I will be looking at other options for my future moves.

William MSome comments in online reviews have mentioned that Bennetts LLC is an old, dusty building and the office atmosphere is like the 1950's. They are correct and that is why I admire those folks and will always be their customer. They just have an older business perspective and run the business as they see fit. Their reservations and returns are smooth and that counts for a lot.
