Your mileage calculation is way off. There is absolutely no way to get from Raton, NM to Alamo, NM, and then to Socorro, NM in just 362 miles. Anyone with a map can see that. Alamo is on the Navajo reservation; your numbers are wrong, and so is the information I found online, unless you ignore reality and break the trip into sections: Raton to Albuquerque, Albuquerque to Socorro, and then Socorro to Alamo and back again. That’s the only way the math works. I only needed the truck for one day, yet you charged me for three. Why? And you charged me a dollar per mile for miles I couldn’t possibly avoid just to return the truck to the nearest location after dropping off in Alamo. I even called ahead and flagged this exact issue, and you brushed it off, insisting I’d have no problem. This is nothing short of dishonest. UHaul, get your act together. This feels like a scam, and I won’t be recommending your company to anyone. In fact, I’ll be sharing this story on social media so others know to watch out. Fix this, because right now, you should be ashamed.
JAMIE PThe man who worked the counter was hard of hearing but sat at the computer the was a good 25 feet away. This led to an altercation because he and I were both frustrated with communication. We got to the point where he told me the mileage he quoted me the miles of 258 for the trip. I explained that it was not near enough after giving him how many mailed I would need to get from Raton to Clayton where I was moving from and then to Dulce where I was moving to. Then from Dulce to Pagosa Springs where I was dropping off. He tells me that he can’t to anything about it. Hands me my license and tells me bye. Customer service from U-Haul talked to him I guess and smooth things over. They gave me an extra 250 miles. Which was not enough because I had to pay an extra 76 dollars for miles. The route I took is a typical route from Clayton to Dulce to avid going over a steep mountain pass and instead travel on an interstate for a good portion of the trip. When it was time to give me the keys he gave them but did not come out and help inspect the truck. I did that on my own. We got an appliance dolly that was defective as the latch just twirled around and would not lock. I am sure that was no accident. I move often because of my job and after that experience with this man, giving me defective equipment, and having to pay 84 dollars in extra miles just because I wanted to drive a safe route I will be looking at other options for my future moves.

William MSome comments in online reviews have mentioned that Bennetts LLC is an old, dusty building and the office atmosphere is like the 1950's. They are correct and that is why I admire those folks and will always be their customer. They just have an older business perspective and run the business as they see fit. Their reservations and returns are smooth and that counts for a lot.
