The customer service representative hung up on me when I tried to ask a question. His name is Marcus. As soon as he took my money he hung up on me because he did not want to talk anymore. He also tried to rush me off the phone when I was asking about insurance. I will not use your service again if if I can avoid it. The van was dirty. It had food in it .Gross.

Truck was clean, good gas mileage..... Rest of the service SUBPAR.... Ordered a Truck & Dolly on Thursday for Saturday pick up, when I get there no dolly available (move a fridge needed one) no one advised me it would not be there when I got there. Recommeded a location in Northridge that would have one.....NOPE, they sent me to Chatsworth (all this driving in your truck at $1.19 a mile).... When I took the truck back...asked wheres the dolly? I got charge for a dolly and furniture pads never took, extra mileage driving around , and MY BAD for putting extra gas in it... You got a half a tank of free gas...... This rental cost me roughly $75 more than it should have..... Plus a seperate ticket for the dolly in Chatsworth, I had to pay for. This location is only half a mile from my home, most likely won't be using this location anytime soon.

Stinky van, and only had 9,000 miles. Fuel level was incorrect at time of pickup and I had to ask the rep to adjust and initial to reflect correct amount. Still overcharged on the bill for additional gas.

There was goat poop in the back of my van when I rented it then I had to go return it get a new van and because they didn't switch it on there end I was only able to have the van for 2 1/2 hours. Horrible service never again

Because this is a business that just happens to also have trailers they didn't have any of the additional hook up items that I had left at home. So it was necessary for me to go to a store that the pick up location directed me to in order to purchase the item I left at home. I had driven 25 miles to get the trailer that I reserved that should've been available 5 miles from my home. Based on this experience of getting sent an additional 20 miles and only being notified the day before of the change I would not recommend using Uhaul. This is not the pick up locations fault.

The 5X8 trailer was not clean and there was a wired hanging down from the roll up door. I had to ask for help to hook up and connect the trailer.

The trailer was dirty and not washed. I was told initially that my Grand Cherokee Jeep was not acceptable to pull the trailer (5 x 8). I have used my Jeep to rent a similar trailers many times. This location should be eliminated from your many locations

I turned in the trailer way in advanced. Even called before dropping off and he said I have nothing to sign for or anything that he would contact U-Haul to let them know it was dropped off. But apparently that didn't happen since I've been contacted by U-Haul several times to return the trailer that had already been dropped off.

Service was ok but honestly I had made the reservation a little over a week in advance and had requested a large appliance dolly for $20. Only thing, when I went to pick up the truck I was told "oh we dont have any of those." I'm sorry but with over a week's notice how can this be the case? With the reservation wouldn't it behoove one to make sure everything was available on pickup day at the designated location? I had a huge fridge that needed to be moved and was stuck with a normal dolly. We BARELY got the thing into the new residence and I'm surprised the $7 dolly didn't bust under the weight. And not to mention if I didn't bring up and double check about the dolly to the rental location, it seemed as though they were still going to charge me for that $20 dolly without even having it--- I had to clarify that that charge was going to be removed. Despite all this, the staff at the location were friendly and helpful, but come on, get your equipment to the location where it's been reserved to be picked up, you guys technically lost money on this.

Location failed to explain $20 after-hours fee and encouraged the after-hours drop off. "We close at 4pm, but you can just park the van next to the building and drop the key in this slot. Very easy." The "after-hours" check-in (that happened the next morning) was also dishonest in their fuel gauge reading. I gassed the van up less that 1 mile away to the appropriate 3/8 tank reading and double checked it before parking the van at Smogster's location. Very unhappy with the customer service at this location, and I may not rent from Uhaul again if this issue is not resolved. I will be writing a yelp review as well.

I was unfairly charged a return service fee. I was not explained that I needed to check my SMS messages to return the vehicle. Also, The return fuel level is not correct. I placed fuel in the vehicle 3 miles before the return. $35. of incorrect extra charges. Based on this experience - I will not use U-haul again. U-Haul Contract 28419057

Make sure you locations check the vans back in when your customers bring them back. I returned my rental van just 3 hours after picking it up and was thought to still have the van 3 days after picking it up because the rental location didn't check my rental back in. Had to deal with customer service on 2 different days to have them call the location telling them to signify they had the van back and was given 2 addition holds on my debt card for days I didn't even have the van.

The trailer was dirty on the outside with dirt caked on the lower portion of the trailer's exterior. The inside had been swept, though. Location to get the trailer out was a little tight. Anyone not knowing how to tow a trailer, could have damaged other rental trucks near the back gate when you exit. It's a tight location with limited storage. Overall, the attendant, knew what he was doing and got the trailer ready to be towed. Service was okay. It served it's purpose.

Picking up the van was fine, and the van itself had no problems. The location's Saturday hours are until 6 PM. They had already closed when we returned the van at 5:30 PM. This resulted in an extra day's rental charge, which we intend to dispute.

The truck was tightly parked, head-in, between multiple cars, behind the workshop garage. We had to make about an 18-point turn just to get that truck to the street. Secondly, the guy working didn't know how to operate the system. He had to call someone else. The whole process took over 45 minutes and we were the only customers there when we arrived.

While the truck worked, in my opinion it needs some maintenance. The gear shifting was not smooth and the breaks made a lot of noise.

I returned the vehicle at 2:30 PM on 5/5. The staff asked me to leave the key. But I receive the receipt shows return time is 3:33 pm and charge me one extra day.

This place was a smog station with no parking for my car. I had two walk 3 blocks in a seedy area to park and walk back to the Uhaul station. It was a terrible surprise and if I was you U-Haul, I would not let these people represent "You-Haul" please do something about this for future customers. joeretta@sbcglobal.net

Really do not agree with the the 4 gal fuel charge of $20.00.... I traveled 14 miles, and put in $5.00 for fuel I used........

We dropped off the trailer after hours. The process was a bit unsettling in that the gated lot was not secured and there was no method to confirm that the trailer was returned. I did contact the location prior to dropping off and was given instructions on where and how (open the unlocked gate) to access the parking area. We were never instructed on how to follow-up to confirm that the trailer was received and we were no longer responsible for it. In fact a week later, we received a call from U-haul inquiring if we had returned the trailer. The caller had a different drop off location than what we had on our original reservation. I gave the location of the drop off and that was all. We did not receive a call back from U-haul to confirm that they had located the trailer and that our contract was closed. Outside of the questions regarding the return process, the entire experience was excellent.

Prior to going here I went to a location in Chatsworth I wish I could rake them because they would earn zero I called and reserved a truck to go pick it up once I get there they told me the truck was reserved for someone else so I could not get that it took the manager about an hour to figure out the same truck at a different location which was in Reseda and I had a very pleasant experience once I got there but prior to that it was a disaster.

We returned the truck after hours and was told to put the dolly in the bed of the truck and to drop the keys in the slot which is what we did and we also dropped it off a day early and filled it up to the quarter tank of gas where it was that when we picked it up. I checked my checking account the next day and I was charged $53.55 and no one can tell me why. So I will be disputing that with my bank. We did everything correctly and got the truck in early

Came to this location to rent a Uhaul, it was extremely low on gas and they tried to charge us for it when we returned it at same, even when their was a gas credit. The employee also told us to park our car on the street outside the location. After double checking with the rep about the spot, she assured us we could park there all day and there would be no issues. We came back later and our car was towed.

Return location was a smog check place in Reseda. There was 1 guy there and he was busy doing a smog check so I had to wait about 1/2 hour before he could check me in. See other comment for mileage and fuel level.

David did not know how to hook up the trailer, how to do the safety chains or what to do when things didn't go right. He also wanted to close at 5pm instead of 6pm as stated on the site. The 48" wire harness extension was faulty. David did not know what to do. The second trailer they had did not have the 48" wire extension at all so it was useless. David called someone and they said they had checked the wire that morning and it was fine. Told me I had bad truck wiring. I had my wiring checked by UHaul in Concord when I made the reservation. David said he couldn't do anything else. I rented the trailer and wrote on the contract that I would go buy a new wire extension since I knew my truck was fine and that I expected to be reimbursed. I went to PEP Boys and bought the extension and the lights worked fine. This pick up location needs lots of training both on returns and rentals or should be closed down as a pickup due to poor service and zero training.. David was very nice but he had had zero training.

Truck was clean, and ready to go. The only thing that should be different is, the truck was handed over with just 1/4 tank. Trucks should be rented with at least 1/2 tank.

First of all the uhaul aytendant decided not to come to work. This, the guy from the smog test shop was covering for the attendant. David was his name. He was not kind at first and kept repeating that he did not have to be there. He was saying this because of the magnitude of people waiting for smog checks and uhaul keys. After waiting one full hour he decided to help me get my uhaul keys and truck. He became noce at that point. I will never rent a uhaul from this facility again. I don't blame David for hosnactions because he was probably under stress but if a rep does not show up uhaul should have properly replaced him on a busy day like Sunday!

The website wasn't very clear as to what to do when I picked up my vehicle. I then got a call three different times in the afternoon, asking if I still wanted to keep my reservation, when I had already picked up the truck at 8:30 and had been using it all day.

Location is mor2 convenient but truck was filthy dirty. Soda had spill on the passenger side and door was stuck. Smelled horrible. Were on a rush so we couldn't returned. May be next time will be better!

Parking on site was a little tricky (only a few spots to park a car if you plan to leave it while using a truck locally). Would also have been great to be able to drive truck out without having to back it up / turn it around in the lot which is always a bit risky/dicey; in fairness there was decent space to maneuver it and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to have a truck loop at the location. Owner/proprietor VERY helpful and friendly, which is a BIG PLUS.
