It was difficult to find the location because they only had a sandwich board in the entry way saying it was a U-Haul rental depot. Also it was weird that it was in a bong shop - maybe I’m old fashioned but it seemed strange to me. The guy at the counter was fine - no problem with him personally but it took a lot of driving up and down the area until we actually realized the location was in a smoke shop. The address online says 78 Thorne and the only visible number from the street is 70. All this being said, I originally booked online in millidgeville because I live north and know the area. After I booked online , I received a call the next day saying there were no 10 ft trucks available at that location and I would have to go to Thorne Ave to pick up. That was mildly irritating. Also, I had requested a hand truck and 10 blankets when I booked online and when I arrived that morning I was told those items were not available at the Thorne Ave location. Annoying. My advice to U-Haul is get rid of the online booking - especially all the add ons - if you can fulfill the requests, including the preferred location. Overall it was a frustrating process, when already dealing with a high stress situation (moving). Hopefully I won’t have to move again anytime soon but when I do I will look for alternative truck rentals.

The only thing I would improve, is to have the gas tank on full when the unit is picked up. Then, the customer simply fills the gas tank upon returning the unit. When I picked up this rental, the tank was just under 1/2 full. It was frustrating trying to fill the tank to exactly that spot without going over. Having the tank full upon pickup eliminates this, and saves the customer from having to spend extra money by adding more gas than was necessary.

The people behind the dest had good attitudes and were friendly however, I had booked the u haul for 4 hours but was told we could only have it for 2 hours. So we were then rushed to get stuff moved and just made it an aweful time renting.

I also had put in my reservation a drop off time of 10pm only to find out when I dropped the UHaul off that they had no after hours drop off and had to return to the location the next day, a real inconvenience for me. Lastly the the location is a store that sells Marijuana products and paraphernalia and I won't be returning there at all.
