Easy location to find and lots of space to park. Was closed when I dropped off but owner was there working and let me know if I needed any help just to find him.

Mike BI want to start by saying that Mike Howell was very welcoming and professional. Even though he was clearly busy when my wife and I arrived to return the truck, he acknowledged us right away and made us feel that we would be helped as soon as he could. He took the time to inspect the U-Haul thoroughly and explained everything clearly throughout the return process. Unfortunately, during the inspection, Mike noticed a section on the upper-right exterior of the truck that had been repaired with duct tape. After checking the rental records, he informed me that the damage was not documented in the system. He explained that if the pickup location could not verify that the damage existed before my rental, I could potentially be held responsible for it. To be honest, hearing that completely caught me off guard. This was my first time renting a U-Haul, and I had trusted that the pickup location had already inspected the vehicle and documented any pre-existing damage before handing me the keys. My wife and I performed what we thought was a reasonable inspection by checking the tires, fuel level, and dashboard for warning lights, but we did not think to inspect every inch of the truck because we assumed the rental company had already done that. Looking back, I realize that I should have taken photos and videos of the entire vehicle before leaving the pickup location. That’s a lesson I won’t forget. At the same time, I also believe customers—especially first-time renters—should be able to rely on accurate documentation of obvious pre-existing damage. I want to emphasize that this situation was not caused by Mike. In fact, he handled the situation professionally and respectfully. He simply explained what he found and what the process would be. My concern is with the condition of the truck at pickup and the possibility that existing damage may not have been properly recorded before it was rented to me. I sincerely hope the pickup location confirms that the damage was already there so that this matter can be resolved fairly. Regardless of the outcome, this experience has taught me to always perform a complete walk-around inspection, take detailed photos and videos, and ensure every scratch, dent, or repair is documented before driving away. I hope sharing my experience helps other renters avoid finding themselves in the same stressful situation. While the return process and customer service from Mike were excellent, the uncertainty surrounding undocumented pre-existing damage made what should have been a simple rental a very stressful experience.

Chris TWonderful customer service. He stayed overtime to get us what we need on a extremely rainy day and on a day where we were very desperate for a trailer. He made everything very easy and seamless. We had had gone prior to location on 4770 Riverside Dr Bay 100, Red Deer, where the owner-operator was absolutely horrible to deal with I recommend you don't go there if you're reading reviews right now. Even if this location is a little farther out of the way, I highly suggest you take the time to go.

This site also takes cash, debit and credit and there are gas stations in the area, making everything very convenient. I would definitely recommend this location!

Martin VWas a very nice experience. Mike was very knowledgeable about the product. I rented a vehicle trailer to move a low ground clearance vehicle. Mike made me aware of all the potential issues I may have and provided guidance on how to avoid any damage to the vehicle I was hauling. Turned out to be the exact advice I needed. The loading and unloading went very smoothly, no drama. During checkout I had some problems with my phone for the process and Mike guided me through it. I'am not 40 years old and he was the perfect patient guy to manage the process. Mike knows his product and his business. Will certainly rent from his location again.

Edward SI booked this two days prior for 6 AM until 6 PM. I have the screenshot with the confirmation showing it was ready at 6 AM. When I went to pick it up it said I cannot pick it up until 9 AM. This was changed on me and no messages ever relate to me about this. I had to get a hold of U-Haul and they had to find a different truck for me which took another hour to get it and then cost me about another $60 in kilometres because it was further away. The cupholders were broken so you can’t have coffee or anything in the vehicle with you. The end would make a weird squealing noise once in a while. It would do this if you touched the break before you start the engine as well.
