I arrived at the location and was informed that they had no dollies or handtrucks although I ordered them. I was tood I could go to another location and they would let me use them. Once I arrived to the other location I was told I couldnt use a dollet ir hand truck from there unless I created a new reservation and they said they didnt have any dolleys or handtruks either. Will not be using either locations ever again.

Try communicating before issuing threats with words like "stolen" while you charged my card daily! Then you ask me to return the truck to any location. I do that and then you charge me an additional $248.00 for not returning the truck to the original location. The original location was 5 miles away, I could have certainly have returned it there. You tell me there has been some dispute form submitted, but cannot explain exactly what that means, WTF?????

The staff there didn't offer much help seem a bit cold, it was pouring down heavily and i got totally wet and soaked having to take photos of the truck. My phone got wet as well.

They didn’t have the equipment I reserved well in advance, and I was given no prior notice. They also didn’t honor my original reservation time, and attempted to change it at the last moment without notifying me. If I didn’t double check the reservation the night before, I wouldn’t have had a reservation. It took two separate phone calls (neither initiated by uhaul) to confirm that they couldn’t honor this reservation. Very poor experience.

First of all that was my first time ever going to U-Haul place and they don’t help me when I first walked in the door. He told me that I have to go online. I went online. It took me a minute cause I never went online before to do this process, and it wasn’t nice cause I stood there for good 15 minutes before I finished he was polite. After the fact I won’t be going back there no more.

Probably liked it here because we didn’t have to deal with anyone. We dropped after hours. I will say the man on the phone who took my call and instructed us on where to park and drop was very helpful and courteous

The trailer was not installed properly. When I was driving in rush hour traffic, the trailer detached from my vehicle. I could have had an accident.

I reserved a 10' box truck and was given confirmation that the vehicle would be available at the location at the time I requested for pick up. When I arrived on-time, I went through the mobile check-in process. At the end, after I located the vehicle, the app instructed me to go to the front desk, skip the line, and ask for the keys. The representative told me I can't skip the line. I showed him the screen which instructed me to do so. He asked for my name and looked up my reservation. After a few minutes, he said he couldn't find my reservation and that the vehicle I reserved was given to someone else. I had to call U-Haul customer service and speak with a dispatch manager to get the representative at this location to give me a new vehicle. After an hour of delay, I was finally given a vehicle. This is very poor customer service.

I did not purchase "safe move" insurance. I selected NOT to purchase it when completing the online reservation. When the attendant at the location asked me if I wanted to add it, I expressly said "No, I do not want insurance" and declined it repeatedly. Yet on my final receipt, the safe move insurance was added and I was erroneously charged for it.

Maybe I came on a bad day, but when I got there, there was a full line of people waiting who had all already pre-checked in before arriving, but unsure if that's a location specific problem. Also there were a lot of technical difficulties with the software while checking people in so it restarted the process frequently. Also there were some inconveniences with several people receiving keys to trucks that were blocked in by other trucks, so the staff frequently had to step out to move them.

I made the reservation three weeks in advance, but U-haul changed my reservation two days before my pickup date from a first U-Haul store to a second U-Haul store. When I went to the second U-Haul store on the pickup date, May 25, 2024, I was told by U-haul personnel that an error had been made and that they didn't have a truck for me. The U-haul personnel then changed the reservation again to a third U-Haul store. I went to that location and was able to pick up the truck, but it caused considerable stress and inconvenience because that was my move out date and I had movers showing up later that same morning. I probably will never again use U-Haul.

U-Haul switched me at the last minute from this location. I called and checked and they had trucks. I went here instead as it was in walking distance from my daughter's apartment and the other would have required an Uber trip as I was in Atlanta without a car. When I got there for 2:30 pick up, a note on the door said they would be back at 3:15. The truck I got had not been cleaned as the floor was sticky from spilled drinks or something. I noticed later when parked at my daughter's apartment with the flashers on, that the driver side tail light/brake light was out. I also found an open vodka hip flask, some soda bottles, and an empty cigarette pack under the driver seat. The open vodka could have been interesting if I had been pulled over for the bad tail light. On top of all that, the location seems to lack moving blankets and dollies, so I had to go to the Peters St location, which had the blankets. They had 2 of the 3 dollies I had reserved so we made do with what we could get. I also had to return to 2 locations even though the 800 number said I should be able to drop off everything at the 14th St when I called to check in about the tail light. I will say the attendant at the 14th St site did knock off $10 for the lack of moving blankets and dollies, and lowered the mileage rate as I had to drive an extra 8 miles round trip each time to get and drop off the supplies at the Peters St site.

Return was on a Saturday so was a self checkout location. Make sure your check out gets fully completed. Mine did not and on Monday they charged me for two extra days when person checked it in. U-Haul did refund for me.

Great customer service. Car was sitting behind the rental truck. I asked for help to move the truck because of location, it was extremely tight. Without hesitation, one of the employees assisted with getting truck out of parking spot. I will definitely recommend this location.

I ordered 3 dolly’s to help move our heavy items out of two 20 story apartments to move into another 25 story building. Get to the location and they have no dollys, no phone call to tell me they did not have any dollys or I could have arranged other plans. This added extra hours trying to move and much harder moving heavy items. Should have been proactive calling to notify me. I would not recommend this location due to this. I turned the uhaul back In the same night and was charged for extra gas when I put gas in it!

Excellent service...Such great personalities. The women were such a pleasure to work with. Very nice facility. I would definitely suggest a jack of some sort to help lift the tongues of the trailers. Those things are heavy and a jack sure would help the women not have to strain so much to hook up a trailer. I am a woman as well and it was tough for myself and one of the women to pick up the tongue and place it on the ball of the truck.

I normally don't leave reviews but this was a terrible experience. I made an appointment in advance to pick up the uhual at 10:00. Due to the line and lack of basic logistics I didn't get the uhual until 10:50 am. Everyone was informed in line the dollies we preselected were not available... why even bother having people book in advance? Staff was doing their best but kept blaming the line on how busy the weekend was. It's Atlanta, a major city... there should be better communication and planning for logistics or don't ask people to book in advance.

I’m extremely disappointed with U-Haul's online system. While I appreciate the effort to make rentals available online, the website is far from user-friendly. The rental process is overly complicated and takes longer than it did when dealing with staff directly. Returning the vehicle was a nightmare, taking me 20 minutes just to understand the process and take unnecessary photos required by the system. It's clear that the website designer didn't think through the user experience. This is the worst website I've ever encountered, and the process of renting a vehicle for moving is unnecessarily convoluted. In comparison, renting cars is a breeze. I will never recommend U-Haul to a friend and believe that the company's monopoly on the moving vehicle business has led to complacency and a subpar online experience. The new online process is a disaster, and I regret using this company. The return process alone wasted 20 minutes of my time, and getting a vehicle is equally complicated. Overall, I'm thoroughly disappointed with U-Haul.
