I rent weekly from U-Haul. Typically it’s from the same 2 locations. This time I rented from 14th St. It was a horrible experience. The agent - Jamall (I believe) acted as if he dint want to work, had an attitude, and was dismissive. When give the keys to the truck, I asked about the trucks location. He mumbled something and pointed. I didn’t understand so I asked again. He was rude about the directions. Once I got outside the truck that I had keys for was blocked by other trucks, which meant that I had to go back inside. It took an additional 20 minutes to get the truck. Once inside the truck it smelled badly of cigarettes. When I started driving the truck it was rocky like it was going to fall over. I wanted to go back and switch the truck out but didn’t because I did not care to interact with that specific staff member again! Upon returning the vehicle today, I received the truck with 1/4 tank of gas - none do the trucks had any gas btw. I returned the truck with a 1/4 tank of gas but was charge a refueling fee. Now I have to go through a dispute process!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! Take the time to somewhere else.
Delana RI was given a truck that didn’t work at first. Then I was given a dirty truck that had items in the back and front of the truck. The issues with the trucks spilled into my reservation time and I only rented to move 1 mattress so I just put my 1 item on top of what was already in the truck and brought the truck back exactly how it was given to me. When I brought the truck back, Jamall charged me a cleaning fee and other fees for whoever had the truck before me and completely lied saying they cleaned the truck before hand. I will not be paying for the last persons mess and also the negligence of the employees who did not run through the truck before renting it to me.
