What a disaster it would have been had we been stuck on the country roads on a very cold day. Battery cable connection problem after driving for only 15 minutes. Rental company needs to do a thorough check before renting any vehicle.

Lynn PadussisI had a lot of trouble doing the mobile check in. I had to download the app in order for it to find my location. I was not aware I would have to do that which took longer than expected to pick up the truck. When doing the mobile drop off, it gave a message after I put in the mileage and all the information that I had to be contacted and had to do it all over again. Other than that it was a good experience, the truck was clean and ready when I got there.

The only thing that agitates me is having to pay tax on a service provided by others which potentially damages their vehicles due to poorly maintained roads.

After explaining how it wouldn’t make sense for charging me 2 days for having the truck for 5 hours (I originally put that I only needed it 4 hours when booking it through the website), when the daily rate was only $29.99, she said that’s how you guys at u-hual did it.

Jeffrey FolkI'm not certain what the environmental fee is and the safe trip fee is charged for? There were no charges that were gone over other than the estimate I received from the employee before leaving the pickup location. I think it could improve the business if the representative went over the charge for the mileage per mile as well. Take the time to go over the charges with your customer and ask if there are any questions, other than quickly getting them out the door. I know that today, it is important to quickly get the customer on their way, however, customers want to know what those fees are. As far as recommending the uhaul rental location, I am in the middle I'm not sure if I would or would not. The staff was nice, however did not seem as though would go the extra mile for a customer.

Kathi Workmanthe Uhaul app was a disaster and I experience a 40 minute delay because of issues with the app. I did get help from a support agent and used the URL on safari and eventually was able to get the keys. Overall the self pick up process was not customer friendly at all

Joseph KirbyThere was a new woman in the office, who I've never seen or met before. (I rent a truck 6 times a year from this location). This woman was NOT at all friendly. She was super rude, and had a bad attitude. In the past there was another woman who was beyond friendly and was super easy to talk to. She would always have a smile on her face and knew me by name & by my face. I am NOT happy there was a $20 fee added to the Uhaul contract for returning after hours. There is no way I'd be able to return by 5pm. That's just ANOTHER reason why I am going to start looking at other options in my area. It's sad b/c I really enjoyed the original cashier/employee and not having to pay an extra $20. Not to mention I do this 6 times a year!

Joseph KreisMy first impression was not the best when I walked in, the other side of the counter the UHaul employee talked without looking at me (the customer). Acting in a hurry state she showed me the contract and circled sections, the miles and fuel gauge readings. She then walked outside pointing to my rental truck stating she will put the 2 bags of blankets I rented inside the truck and then I would be good to go. She even said that I don’t have to inspect the truck because I paid for the full coverage insurance WOW. I used the truck for a quick 4 hour job, stopped at the gas station to refuel the truck before returning to UHaul. When I went to restart the truck the battery died! I called the road assistance number for help. If was not for the gas station worker helping jump start the truck I was going to wait a couple hours for UHAUL help. So once I got it restarted I called UHaul roadside to cancel since I wasn't going to wait for 2 hours. It was after midnight night (2 hours later) that someone called me to ask where I was, even after I cancelled! I returned the truck to the designated parking area and dropped off the key where I was told and took my contract. Next morning I was looking through my emails and I found an email with a UHaul receipt. There was an extra charge for a CLEANING FEE of $30+. Cleaning for what??? I tried to reach UHaul to ask why the charge and I was told that it was because I did not fold the blankets when I returned the truck. First of all, why do I have to fold the blankets that I paid to use?? Second, if the blankets need to be folded at the return of the truck, that means they will re-rent them again without washing?? The blankets that I rented was used ones that could be dirty or even contaminated?? Who knows?? When I finally got a hold of the UHaul rental office employee that rented the truck to me, I asked her why she did not mention the requirement to fold the blankets when she told me about fuel, insurance, and mileage? To my surprise she said she doesn’t have to because they have a STICKER inside the loading truck area. STICKER??? Then why do I need a rental contract if they can charge on top of the agreement??? Doesn't make any sense. I Opened a credit card dispute and won’t let them make charges that is not in the agreement. Sad.

Sandy is an incredible asset to the U-Haul family. She should be rewarded for the effort that she put forth and helping me find a viable solution to the problem I was experiencing with renting a vehicle from your company.

Mat karavagBetter communication...the reservation was moved without my knowledge. It was also for 9a but the location didnt open until 930a the manager there threw me to the wolves because she was late getting in. The truck had several unnotes blemishes that i felt should have been seen by her but she kept pushing me to use my phone to do her job. The truck also drives rough and loud while pumping exhaust fumes into the cab. It felt like a ball joint or control arm bushing was busted so the 3hour drive down and 3 hour drive back only cemented my negative attitude towards uhaul. Most likely will switch to team penske or ryder the next time i need a rental in hopes of better customer svc and safer maintained equipment.
