We were supposed to pick up @ Hwy 74 got there the truck wasn't there. The guy had customers before us that we're unhappy too. We were supposed to pick up @ 9:00 our family was @ the move-out home ready to load but didn't get the truck til after 10:00, so we lost an hour. Wouldn't recommend Hwy 74 location in Menifee, Ca.Thomas C.

If you confirm pod rental with someone and then 2 days before scheduled delivery date you have to cancel there reservation that is not good customer service. You better be prepared to accommodate them at the same price or less not more.Christine M.

HORRIBLE!!!!' I made a reservation a week ahead of moving day and called multiple times to confirm a truck that week. Friday afternoon I was told I couldn't get one (after I called no one contacted me). I had to pay 150 for the movers I scheduled after No truck available. The following weekend I scheduled again. I was told I could get a 26ft truck as I reserved at a location 70 miles away!!!! We ended up getting a smaller truck and making more trips than expected. After HOURS on the phone with U-Haul and the location staXup, I was told they had rented out all of their trucks. Turns out employee was new and told me wrong info. This caused MAJOR STRESS to me again For the second tome due to the poor service of your company. When we FINALLY got the truck, of course it smelled A LOT of marijuana!! Yes it's legal BUT as a diabetic I prefer to stay away! The smell was so bad we had to air out the truck to let out the intense smell. We then had to delay the movers by an hour which cost me another 75$. I know the demand is high bc of the Real estate market sales are up. But it is very frustrating to think you have a truck and try to plan ahead only to find out they don't guarantee it!! My STRONG suggestion is have people call in their reservation and at least tell them what locations are projected to have a truck on their selected time and date. It would be less upsetting to get an idea of where the truck might be instead of customers expecting to pick up at the location they selected and not be what they get. I have 5 family members and friends who are in escrow and I have told each and every one of them to NOT USE UHAUL due to my 2 weeks of bad experience with this customer service. Another thing to point out is, no one called me back from the management team after I complained about poor service! Sorry about the grammar very upset summarizing these past 2 weeks!!!ðŸ¤¬RICARDO D.

The truck was not cleaned. The cup holders had sticky stuff of what might be soda or coffee. Floor dirty and truck dusty. I took photos with my iPhone. I had disinfecting wipes On me and I wiped down the seats before we got in but it's not my job to do that. The seats also had crumbs not sure of what but the truck was not cleaned. Very disappointed especially with covid cases.FLAVIO P.

While the location was fine, this whole experience through uhual was a nightmare. I had a reservation made weeks in advance for a 26' truck at 9am at the Hemet location. Showed up early at 8am to check in for it, and were then told we wouldn't have one until 3:30pm. We had a 5 hour drive to make after this haul, that would not work. The girl at the counter was incredibly rude and unaccommodating. Finally someone else came over and told us they could get us one at the Homeland location at 11am. We accepted and thanked them. When we arrived at the Homeland location at 10:30am, we were AGAIN told there was no truck for us. It wasn't until HOURS later that the man was able to find us a 20' truck that was someone else's reservation. Our only other option was to continue to drive around to other locations they send us to, hoping one of them ACTUALLY has the truck we were promised -after already being re routed and still not having a truck provided, no thanks. So not only did we not get the size truck we needed, you are screwing someone else out of their reservation at the same time. Who runs a business like this? I will never, ever recommend uhaul to anyone, just based off of your poor business practices. Completely unprofessional, poor customer service, poor business practices. NO ONE deserves that much extra stress, about something that was supposed to be reserved and taken care of, on top of the extreme stress of moving. I can not believe how terrible this company made this experience, and the poor manor which they handle things. Would never use this company again, would never recommend - even to my worst enemy.Victoria A.
after getting a blowout on tow dollly, the wait for repair wasn't long.. about an hour.. after repair I was on my way and got pulled over by cops because running lights were not working on side of the blowout. I didn't get ticketed because i said i would just stop at nearest motel.. which costed a hundred bucks..David L.

1st time renting a uhaul from this location. Possibly the last. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful however I believe the equipment was rented to me in an unsafe condition. Had 24hrs of use on the truck and within the 1st 5 miles of my move I had a tire blowout. Upon checking the tires...BOTH front drive tires had metal showing through. It's no wonder the blowout occurred. Thank God my family and I had not been traveling on the freeway or things could have gone much worse. Nonetheless my trip was delayed and was a real inconvenience. Not at all a good 1st experienceKATHRYN E.

Scheduled a truck near where I was moving and received a call 2 days before the move that they wanted me to pick up the truck at a location that was a long distance from where I needed it. I objected because my contract said clearly I would pick it up at the desired location and was told I needed to pick it up where the last customer dropped it off. At that point I insisted they reimburse me for all the extra mileage involved at the $1.00 per mile rate. The rep consulted with a supervisor and they finally said they would take it to the original location. I should not have had to fight to obtain the service I contracted for and this was very stressful since I was in the middle of packing for my upcoming move. Once this problem was resolved, the customer service was excellent.Patti V.
