The storage buildings are built too close together, so all the units located down the alleys are not accessible with your vehicle. The alleys are too narrow to drive in there safely to load and unload directly from your vehicle. This is very inconvenient.Matt B. | Overall Experience

I realize that you are not guaranteed to pick up your rental at the place you requested and I can understand that if you are looking to rent within a day or two. However, if you have requested it weeks/months in advance I believe this is a service that could be enhanced through the service of a courier. A customer should not be expected to drive 45 min. to an hour away from where they had requested pick up when they are already on time constraints. Also, our 26' truck did not have any working A/C and the weather was in the 90's. I did contact our pick up location however they don't service U-Haul, waited on hold with U-Haul for 45 min. and eventually had to hang up since we had to start loading. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Side note: only an AM radio to listen to on a 12 hour drive! For $2000 in rental costs I thought the service was very subpar and if need be, I will pay more next time JUST so I don't have to use U-Haul. I will never recommend U-Haul and considering my experience with them on this last move, I have nothing good to say!!!!Dave B.

Reserved 20' truck with appliance dolly several weeks in advance. Was told the day I arrived and after I paid for the truck that they had sent the dolly I reserved on a one-way rental. Couldn't get the online service to work when returning equipment. Next move, I will be using any service other than U-Haul!!!Deborah P.

The male employee arrived first and did not acknowledge me at the entrance struggling to reach uhaul about my 7:30 am pick up. He came out again and opened the other doors and ignored me again. Minutes later a female arrived and even though it was before the store opening time, she came out and asked me if I needed help. She was pleasant, helpful and smiling. I explained what happened and that my password wasn't working and I had been there for a while and on hold with uhaul. She invited me in and then said the male employee would help me. She told him my pick up time was missed but he just needed to doâ€¦and I would be good to go. He did not smile, did not make eye contact, was not friendly. Just asked for my drivers license. So I went to go get it. He still did not smile or look at me. I came back and gave it to him. She smiled and said that she had extended my return time and I thanked her. Meanwhile, he confirmed the estimate, insurance add on and equipment and made me a copy and gave me the keys. *I thanked them both for helping me before the 9 am open time. And even said, I appreciated their kindness. (Even if it only came from her). The vehicle had lots of damage. Even the hood was damaged. He did not tell me that I would receive a text asking me to confirm the condition. Finally, I was pulling off but was surprised by the request so I had to stop again. I was already late to meet the movers. A little more customer service would have been helpful. *And the steering wheel is crooked! I had to hold it at 11 and 4 to drive straight! That was annoying but I did not have time to take it back. I missed the movers by 5 minutes!!! I had to load the furniture with my older cousins. *Then, the uhaul password reset feature was not functioning. It would not take my password and would not send me a code to reset it. Had this worked, I could have gotten the vehicle at 7:30 am with no problem. *I spent $254 on the rental and almost $70 to refill the gas. That was an expensive hassle. A little more customer service would have made this better. *Extra long hold times on the 1-800# just frustrated me even more.Alisa J.

When I rented online, I was offered a selection of places to return my trailer. I chose the closest one. When I picked up my trailer, it had been changed. I was told it would be easy to change later. Not true. Your online and phone customer service access is terrible. My original drop-off location was changed from 3 miles away to a 60+ mile closed Body Shop. I was told to call when I got there and it would be easy to change. Very far from the truth! After about an hour of 20 minute waits and dropped calls, I was finally transferred to the correct person who could change my location.BRUCE M.

I was at this facility for over 4 years because i had to be!!!! The first manager would crash into the corner of the unit so that he could remove siding and steal all he could find of value. When you rent a truck the lady tells you they wasn't suppose to rent that truck because it was going out the next day.. When you want too pay cash you can't until you let her keep 100 dollars instead the amount of the rental like the lady said on uhaul.comBarbara S.

I originally rented a smaller truck from another UHaul in Columbia, when I went to pick the rental up it was not available, even though the rental was confirmed. The gas issue.. seeing as if you put 10 dollars in the tank for a uhaul and are on 3/4 of a tank before it doesn't even move the needle and then bringing it back and charging 4.00 for uhaul to put gas back in it.... also pricing for renting a uhaul is pretty expensive..... having to pay for the truck then the gas and the mileage that gets very expensive it should all be one flat rate I believeDayna W.
