I reserved a truck and trailer, along with some moving supplies, nearly 2 months in advance in order to pick up all items at the same location at a specific time. When the day before the moving date arrived, I received a call from a U-Haul office in another city to confirm equipment pick up. I was told that my truck and trailer would be available at separate locations, and at times that did not align with my scheduled pick up time (again, I made arrangements well in advance in order to avoid this hassle). I had movers scheduled to come shortly after I was supposed to pick up my equipment - which I also scheduled these movers through U-Haul at the same time as everything else. My entire morning, which was already going to be stressful, was compromised by lack of preparedness on U-Haul's end. My pick up times and locations changed, and I had to go all over town on my time, using fuel and mileage for the rental truck to pick up the rest of my equipment that was supposed to be ready with the truck. The entire morning of my cross-country move had been jeopardized. Fortunately, everything worked out for the best. My encounters at the U-Haul pick up locations were pleasant, for the most part. Once I arrived at my destination, I was told that I would, again, have to return the truck and trailer to separate locations. Again, using my own time, along with fuel and mileage on the truck that had been intended for the move. Because this was impractical, I returned the truck and trailer to one location, and of course, was charged for an extra day. When customers take the time to do their research, plan properly, and orchestrate long-distance moves accordingly, it should not be too much to ask to be able to have the equipment available at pick up locations as shown on the website. Customers should also not be expected to drive across town to pick up equipment separately and deliver separately when they have provided sufficient advance notice and reserved / scheduled equipment accordingly. I had made early reservations and paid well to ensure a minimally stressful move, only to get the runaround at the last minute. While my interactions with staff were pleasant, the lack of coordination between offices is quite pitiful.

BRAD BYou sent me a message saying the next family was waiting for the trailer I had to be returned. So, I hurried to unload it and dropped it off on Sunday morning, clean and ready to go! To show your appreciation, you charged me $20 for after hours drop off! Next time I won’t bother using UHaul!

They checked the new equipment and noticed one of the tires was a little off and changed it immediately I had a very good experience with the entire staff at this location.

Ron TI arrived for my appointment, but their system was down, which caused some delays. Once everything was sorted out and it was time to pay, the price was nearly double what I had originally booked through the app. They were able to manually adjust it, but the final price was still higher due to my online reservation being for a car trailer, but when I arrived, I was given a tow dolly instead. One of the main reasons I chose the trailer was because I was not fully comfortable with attaching equipment and loading my car safely on my own. When it came time to load my vehicle, the staff simply told me to “strap it on and you’ll be good to go.” I understand they were busy helping other customers, and the staff was kind, but I received very little assistance and ultimately had to watch a video to figure it out myself, despite calling ahead of time and being told I would have help. Overall, the experience was a little disappointing due to being charged more than expected because I received the wrong equipment, and not getting adequate support with safely attaching and loading my vehicle.

WILLIAM DThe rental office is literally a whole in the wall office. A senior citizen would not be able to hook up any rented trailer, and the office lady is not physically able to help, nor would care to do so. I will never go here again as I cannot hook up a trailer alone. This lack of service is not acceptable and not fair to your customers.
Michael GLess charge per mile, you rent the truck for 20.00 but your hook is the mileage charge…I paid more for the gas than for the rental, that’s backwards.
Winston MI used the do it yourself service but when I went to return my Uhaul it was awful. I was up charged like 20 miles and then I had to resubmit my pictures like 3 times and I selected to change my payment method and it loaded and loaded and loaded with the pictures until it like I said made me resubmit them and then when I went to go inside it all of a sudden said my pickup was complete so my payment method wasn’t changed and I was up charged.

BRAD EThey were a little flustered with all the snow and had several customers waiting; seemed like they could have had a better plan for snow removal due to the volume we got. Overall, I thought they did well focusing on the customer in front of them at that moment.

PATRICK HI had reserved a truck at a different location only to have the location close a week later forcing me to use another location farther away which racked up the miles. When I went to pick up the truck, it was over a hour wait do to system problems. Absolutely no offer to make things right,period. Worst experience ever.
Jessica DI was surprised to find out that I have to hook the trailer myself. All of my experience is the UHaul store clark hook up the trailer to my car. I was concerned if I hook up correctly. My other issue is UHaul changed my original pick up location to one that do not have adequate personal support. Please keep my reservation at the place I requested.

MICHAEL STruck was clean but needed maintance done on truck. The check engine light was on and gas gauge did not work correctly. The lady that took care of me at check out and check in was Great, very helpful and took notes of my concerns when I checked truck back in. She gets a A++
DAVID DTruck was filled with debris from previous customer, my reservation was moved to a different location father away, I had to return the truck 40 miles away from my end location, and never ending emails requesting I haul other peoples trailers along with my own. Driveway at location ice covered and dangerous, staff was not prepared for our reservation nor was the truck ready, we had to search the entire lot for our truck because staff had no clue where it was located, gas tank was 3/4 empty at pickup. Horrible location.
JOEL TEverything went great except I wish it would notify you that you have to take pictures upon delivery. After I parked next to another uhaul i had to take pictures so that was awkward. Also there was moving blankets and an appliance dolly that I didn’t request in the truck.

DAVID DI felt truck should be upfront for customer to pick up. I had to walk thru lot looking for it and the lady told me license plate number, not truck number which of course, couldn't find. Representative was nice. Also, door locked when we returned with no sign on door. Another lady waiting also because they were supposed to meet at 1. Finally seen a sign on a windows closed for an 1.5 hours for lunch. Also ordered truck from Shell location and they don't carry trucks that big, then don't advertise that you are a uhaul pick up if you don't have all trucks.
