Scott CIt may have been the circumstances on the morning we picked up as the employee running this U-Haul service was not there in person, but previous experience in U-Haul outposts like this have been that there is a proper desk and clear U-Haul signage and check-in/out desk. We had trouble finding anybody at first within the store and then we were told we had to phone the contact on a card to go through the contract and pick up process. Again it may have been unusual circumstances but the set up is not as obvious as we have experienced in the past with U-Haul outpost locations
John DMobile pick up would have been better as I wanted to pick up on Sunday and they were closed. So I had to miss work because of this to pick up Saturday

Jeff PI checked yes it was clean but definitely could have been cleaner, dirt and some food bits on seats Had to wait an hour past booked time for vehicle. Was not given any instructions on driving vehicle. Left signal light and brake light not working well. Staff were friendly but very inefficient service.

Shirin ZMy reservation was modified without my consent. That resulted in increased expense - again without my knowledge or consent. The change was: modified return-location from the original booking.

PHILIPP AConvenient for Gibsons, glad to have a local UHaul option. Truck and cargo was clean, BUT terrible permeating sour smell in the cargo area. Not sure what it was, but certainly would not want to move my household in there.

Greg HWe were told they would be open until 3:30pm. Arrived at 2 to drop off the equipment but they were closed. The 1-800 desk was excellent and we were able to drop the equipment off.

VERNON Bthe truck was clean but very high milage it had been over 5 times around the world. and the steering was loose .i had to go between 11 and 1 to keep it straight i have been driving heavy machinery for 50 years and would not have driven it for a long distance .

dan yI called two days prior to picking up the truck to confirm my pick up date and time (Saturday), and as I was hanging up from the call, the owner stopped me and said, "Oh no. I forgot. I'm going to close Saturday. I completely forgot. I have to go into Vancouver. Can you pick it up tomorrow night? I won't charge you the extra day." When I arrived at my final destination I realized that he had charged me for that Friday. I had to call a few different times to confirm my reservation because I didn't feel confident in getting the truck when I needed it. I was met with wrong pick up dates and drop off dates each time. On the final receipt the drop off date was wrong, again, and I had to contact U-Haul to change it while I was travelling. I knew I was going to need to rent the truck for a few extra days and was quoted, a few times, that the per extra day would be $30. It ended up being $40. My suggestion is that you read the contract closely and do it inside not outside in the sun on his phone. It's too hard to see the details. Having said all that, the owner is very friendly!

Moya BThe operator, Duane, was excellent. Honest, friendly and customer oriented. Will definitely recommend anyone to go to him for utility vehicle rentals. I didn't give an excellent rating because the premises didn't have parking facility for clients and also the office lacks seating, comfortable and conducive environment to conduct business. Anyway, these are not super important. The most important thing is the honest and friendly manner in which the operator conducted business.
