The Uhaul was dirty, can tell no general upkeep on the vehicles. At least clean it out before someone else uses it, moody French fries in cup holder.Sarah T.
No problem with location, however; Reserved a 26' truck for 48hrs. Got told two days before my move that I would only be getting a 20' truck and that I must return it to the same location I picked it up from. WTH?!? I had to arrange for another vehicle to follow me to go back to the city I just left to drop off the truck. Who's paying that extra $100 in fuel?!?!? And the fuel for the second vehicle? Not to mention, the reservation confirmation consultant that called me two days before my move was rude as hell. So disrespectful Never using Uhaul again 👎🏻Brian W.

As I picked up vehicle the truck was a 1/4 full of gas so I had to stop and but $50.00 of fuel before even moving. The truck transmission was not shifting properly and wasted a lot of gas and had to put another $20.00 on re turn. The truck also pulled hard to right . A lot of my tim was wasted on stopping twice to get gas .Barry Y.

I requested an appliance dolly which wasn't available at the time of pick up. I received a small dolly instead. the furniture pads I requested was wet and unusable. the pick up time supposed to be at 7:00 am self-pick up, but they changed it to in-person which caused me delay until 8:15 am, and a 50$ charge by moving helpers because of the delay. I received a refund for the dolly, but they charged me for the missing item and I explained millions of times, but they still couldn't fix the issue after 2 weeks.Mehdi A.

This was easily the worst experience I have ever had with a business of any kind. My pick up location was changed last minute to a gas station 1 hour away as opposed to the 15 minute travel time I booked. I arrived to find the truck was not there as it hadn't been returned. I was then sent to another location approximately 90 minutes from where I was to pick up a different truck, smaller than the one I booked. I was also informed on arrival that instead of dropping off the truck at a location in southwestern Ontario (I was transporting my house contents approximately 4 hrs), I now had to return the truck where I picked it up. This meant my wife had to pick me up at that location, which was again an hour from our home. Throw in the worst driving conditions we've had this winter and gas at 1.60$ per litre (which I ate the cost of on the return trip which I didn't book, $200 fill), and the discount I received to compensate the inconvenience is negligible. We drove a total of 5 hrs in our personal vehicle (1 hr to original pick up, 1+ hour to secondary pick up, 1 hr home from there, 2 hours round trip for my wife to pick me up), all with our 2 children and infant baby in the car. To top things off, the truck I was given was not big enough (I got a 20', had booked a 26'), so I will need to make another 8 hour round trip with another truck. To say I am upset is an understatement. I am 37 years old and I think this is the first review, let alone negative review I have ever given anyone. Moving is stressful enough without this kind of run around. I booked this weeks in advance to avoid problems and found nothing but.Adam W.
Couldn't really communicate issues we were having, the truck was frozen and the wipers were not cleaned nor was the fluid able to spray, we didn't ask for an extended day for having to go to a different location; we were supposed to pick it up in Beeton but they asked us to pick it up in Bradford. We wanted a discount on our rental but they made NO effort to accommodate. This was an overall terrible experience. Would recommend the bed of friends truck over Uhaul.CHRISTOPHERPATRI N.

This rental was a disaster. The trailer I was supposed to rent was virtually inaccessible and the hitch was frozen beneath snow and not working. As with most moves I had people waiting and items to be moved based on the large trailer. I was forced to rent a van with not nearly the volume. I was forced to pay rental, gas, and mileage which was costly as I had to make two trips due to the lack of volume and leave my truck in their parking lot. My $30 trailer rental turned into a $160 bill !! Terrible experience,LEONARD T.

I made a specific reservation for a 15' truck and confirmed in advance, arrived to pick up and was advised there was no 15' truck and was given a 20' unit instead which meant higher fee and higher per km charge, no notice given. My order was for Newmarket and confirmed with the blankets I booked, but when I picked up the truck I had to go to Bradford which was out of the way and they had no blankets. Was very disappointed. Order should not have been confirmed with blankets if they were not avail so we could have planned around it. Bradford was otherwise a good experience. Nice person and efficient.Sharon C.

I reserved a 26' truck and the day I went to pick it up It wasn't available because it was taken to the shop for repairs and nobody notified us. We had to rent a 20' truck, no choice, and had to make 3 trips. Awful experience. And all they did was gave us $50 credit. Do not recommend!!!!!MAURICIO R.
Fuel gauge indicated MORE fuel that what was actually in the vehicle. Serious steering problems with the unit. Steering Lash (play in the steering wheel, also severely pulled to the right when braking). Needs front end work before going back out. I conveyed this to the pick up location, but fear it was released to another rental anyways. Also, talked to two different agents, and given very different info and difficulty setting up a one way move The second agent i talked to (Lenny from Texas), was very good in getting me closer to what i actually needed. I still feel i paid a great deal more than what i should have. Lenny from Texas was patient and i believe he did a great job helping me. I still feel i could have gotten a better deal and he is not by any means at fault. Only reason i mention this, is i live on a monthly Disability, and money is extremely tight, and literally every dollar counts. I do and did not expect cheap, just something a little more finacially reliable. Uhaul is more than fair i feel, and i believe their longevity indicates reliability.EDWARD R.

Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE experience. My move from the GTA to London Ontario (2.5 hour drive one way) was delayed one whole day because UHAUL did not have the truck ready until 4.5 HOURS AFTER the originally scheduled picked. Not to mention the pick up location I was given when I booked did not have the truck that morningâ€¦??? The only â€œsolutionâ€ offered was for me to drive an additional 45 minutes (one way) to pick up the truck at a different location, only to arrive at that different location to find out that location ALSO DID NOT HAVE THE TRUCK I booked. I waited 1.5 hours for the truck to arrive. The whole while I was on hold with UHAUL head office, being bounced from Department to Department, being disconnected 2x, and having to call back into their cue and explain the disaster THEY created to THEMâ€¦. And, as all this is happening, I had 6 friends waiting at my place, who had been there since 7:30am. By the time we got back to the house with the truck, it was noon. When I booked, I was told the truck would be ready at 7am. Noonâ€¦.Suffices to say, the move got delayed by one whole day. Oh, and head office did finally call back with some compensation for the delay and stress THEY caused which was extra kilometres (I didn't need) and $50 offâ€¦â€¦. $50. Which, by the way, hasn't actually even been refunded. I'm currently sitting at 2 days passed the move date and the whopping $50 compensation is still not processed, but alas, I will circle back around to this review to keep you all updated. In the meanwhile, rest assured I will NEVER use UHAUL again and will always share my experience when asked.MATHEW R.

The truck I booked months ago was not available but no one told me. I had to take a smaller truck which meant I had to make 2 trips instead of one which meant more milage and more costs. All in all not a good experience.David P.
