Booked the 6' x 12' enclosed trailer for 11AM pickup. When we showed up we noticed that the tongue of the trailer was bent to the right, and noted it to the man in the office. He told us to hook up the trailer while he processed the paperwork, only to realize that the coupling wouldn't tighten. I mentioned this to the man in the office and he said "the last guy had the same problem". We managed to get the coupling tightened, only to realize the extension for the trailer lights was missing. He had to go to the store to purchase a new one, came back with the wrong part (TWICE) and finally went to another uHaul dealer to borrow one. Didn't end up leaving the facility until well after 12PM.. Late for a furniture pickup, making me late for work in the process. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I've rented from uHaul before and never had a problem. The facility KNEW they had damaged equipment and let me make the reservation for it anyways. Atrocious customer service, the â€œvirtual pick upâ€ is a total joke and doesn't work. I could write a book on reasons you shouldn't use UHaul but I don't care enough to spend another minute of my life wasted on this company. Don't waste your money, use a competitor and don't think twice about it.Amanda C.

I would recommend for the people, very nice husband and wife. As for the truck, it was a mess, coffee spilled on the floor and cab smelt like heavy cigarette smoke. I had my young daughter with me and we had to drive with the windows down ( 5 degree weather). Once I got home, the ramp did not want to pull out as it appeared bent (I called the info line and after being bounced around finally connected with someone that could help (logistics department). We decided to keep the truck instead of spending another 1 hour to pick up a replacement but required much more heavier lifting to load and unload the truck as the ramp was not available. I was appreciative of changing the drop off location when I called in as it was much closer (saved driving 45 mins)Massimo I.

The experience was more than simply below average...it was absolutely frustrating to the point of wanting to cancel and walk away. If I hadn't had obligations this is what I would have done. The excruciating experience was completely due to the EXTREMELY poor customer service skills of LUCY the Hamilton traffic supervisor. The booking was quoted wrong twice...the location of pick-up was changed to a more distant location and the attempts at remediation were totally inadequate. I will NEVER book any equipment with U-Haul in the future and will be contacting head office personally with a more complete summary of the events of this totally unsavoury experience.phil S.

I do not understand your policy of taking a reservation for truck size and location and then changing it. I did not need a 15' truck to move a one bedroom apartment. I rented a 10' only because there were no 9' vans available. to have this changed less than 24 hours before pick up cause unnecessary stress. The location change added another hour to my long moving day. The on site worker was great and tried to accomodate me as best as possibleJohn B.
I ran into an issue: the truck I had reserved was not available which caused inconvenience and stress as many people were arranged for the move. Tony @ Tottle Mini was very helpful and Tiffany @ 1-800 U haul was understanding and helpful. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction.Sandy C.
Dealer was awesome I would appreciate a follow up call though on your call center. First time I called the lady made my reservation for the wrong city. Then two days before reservation I had to get that changed and figured out. Also the dealer was only open at 11 which is not practical for a pick up time. And getting a 24 hour truck meaning pick up by 5 and drop off by 5 the next day isn't very realistic. Also call center second call all recorded I called to possibly cancel as no kms were included and I was going To switch to a different company and the man told Me I had 30 kms included. Then the 3 rd time I called as I had to edit my order because they put the wrong pick up location and to adjust the time as 12 pick up would not work on the day of the move. The man was very rude and told me no kms came with it. I told him I wanted him to check the second call I made there as that guy told me I had 30 included. He told me it would take 24 hrs to look into this matter. It's been 3 days at least now and still no follow up with him we have already used the truck now and paid. I would like a follow up phone call to discuss this matter further. Moving is already stressful then to add this. Doesn't seem rightBREANNA M.

This location was great and the manager very helpful. But my experience with U-Haul was horrible. I was called a few days before my move and promised that my truck would be in Hamilton but then just before I got an email saying it was going to be in an entirely different city. I had to catch a GO bus and then take a taxi to get there. This added much expense and about 2 hours to picking up this damn truck. U-Haul, this is the last time I ever rent from you.Joe S.
Tottle Mini storage was good but uhaul was not. The gentleman at the storage unit was very polite and u derstanding. The truck was not well maintained. The customer service rep was rude. The fact that I was to get my truck in Hamilton at 9:30am and had to wait until 5:15pm in brantford was unacceptable. Will NOT be using uhaul ever againTanya K.

This is the 2nd time we have rented from u-haul. The first time you screwed up our bill. This time you changed our pick up location and gave us a pickup time. I called the location and changed the time and location was ok with a later pick up. U haul called me and cancelled my rental as it was 1 hr after scheduled pick up. I called the location and he confirmed everything was fine. Then we had a drop off in our final destination and your link to our drop off was incorrect and sent us 25 miles out of the way. I call location and he helped. I also have received an estimated 25 emails which is totally unnessesary.scott T.
We went on-line to see the various locations in Brantford. We called Elite Stainless Exhaust first but they were not helpful at all. I then called Tottle Mini Storage. They were very accommodating and helpful, answering the questions we had. Elite had a similar vehicle available, but really could not be bothered with us.PAUL V.

I had to wait for hours to fix a problem, a buzzer stayed on constantly and we had to wait for a mechanic to come from Cambridge before we could continue, I was paying the crew $120 per hour, I would expect a discount if I choose to use uhaul againLIZ N.

I have no issues with Tottle Mini Storage!! My issue is apparently with U Haul traffic! When I placed my order online, I initially indicated that my preferred pickup location should be K&L Electric Bikes,657 Colborne St. Brantford, ON N3S3M8. Before completing my order I changed the pick up location to Tottle Mini Storage. Later, I received 2 emails from UHaul confirming pick up at K&L Electric Bikes. I then sent email thru U Haul's website to inform you that the pickup location had been changed to Tottle Mini Storage and received a confirmation of that change. On Friday afternoon, I received a call from the Area Manager, Steve, who asked me to pick up the trailer at the Jerseyville Garage location, some 10 miles from my home, before 6 p.m., since they were not open on Saturday. I agreed, presuming it was the only trailer available. When I went to pick up the trailer I was told that there was no one available, nor expected from U Haul at that location. The individual at the garage, tried to contact the UHaul Rep to no avail, but, agreed to allow me to take the trailer to Tottle MS, to check in and make payment on the rental. I left my contact info and DL# ID with them before departing. On arrival at Tottle, I saw that there was a 6x12 trailer at their location and when I inquired as to whether it was available, I was told it was!!! I was further informed that dispatching the trailer I'd brought from Jerseyville Garage couldn't be done there. Tony, (Tottle MS agent) then called Steve for advice on how to proceed. Steve arranged to have the trailer 'transferred' to Tottle MS, so that, Tony could dispatch it properly and accept payment. I have rented trailers from U Haul several times and it is usually a 'non' event and simple. On this occasion it was annoying to say the least. Steve, area manager, told me he was directed, by traffic, to have me pick up the trailer at Jerseyville Garage. When Tottle MS asked 'traffic' why I had not been directed to pick up at Tottle MS, as requested, traffic told him, 'We didn't know!' Strange, since, I had changed it on the original order and reconfirmed via email later!! This situation created 2 hours of inconvenience and necessitated me travelling 20 miles out of my way, only to be 'unserved' at the location I was directed to (Jerserville Garage) and finally, properly served at the location I had originally requested!! I later learned that the U Haul rep at this location was in Niagara Falls, with his family and had no idea that someone was picking up a trailer. It was only good fortune, for me, that the Garage allowed me to take the trailer, otherwise, I might have been completely out of luck on Saturday when it came time to move!! Furthermore, I feel that I was 'used' to move the trailer from Jerseyville Garage to a location in Brantford, Ont. so that it could be closer to a more lucrative market and more convenient for the next customer to access!Clifford P.

The gentleman at Tottle was very friendly, helpful and he explained everything clearly and professionally. He even helped me hook the trailer to my truck. One suggestion: It would be much easier to hook such a heavy trailer onto the hitch if it was equipped with a proper trailer jack. Lifting it from ground level is not only difficult but a customer or employee could seriously injure their backs in the process. I would definitely do business with this location in future. I requested to pick up a smaller truck at a much closer location and an earlier time. I had to waste two hours of my time driving 50km out of my way to pick up a larger truck than I needed. I was given extra kilometres on the truck, but still had to pay for the gas in my car to get there. I am not impressed with the service I received from U-Haul. Having said that, the service I received from Tottle Mini Storage was excellent.JANICE B.
