This place looks very sketchy. There is a sign up that says that they are under new ownership, but, it's a pretty scary looking place. On the other side of the coin, the girl who helped us was very sweet.

This was a gas station the gentleman that rented to me was extremely nice and very pleasant, he was great! But at the location there were gambling machine and people sitting there smoking The smoke was too much! I didn’t think you could do that in public places! Also when I left the check engine light was on. I was told to go to another location to have it looked at. This prolonged my moving plans.

Terrible experience. Sent me the wrong pick up location. Then when I finally tried to contact the location no one would answer the phone. I went to the location and found a note on the door saying on break. Finally a guy came to the door. He left me at the counter and went to what looked to be like a video Poker machine and was clearing the screen and told a BK employee who was also playing that it still had money on it. The store was very unkept and smelled badly. Cigarette butts and for some reason a pack of double edge razor blades and a knife on the service counter. Took him forever to process the paperwork and seemed preoccupied with whatever he was doing before I arrived. When I ask him about why no one answered the phone he said it wasn’t working. I rang the number on my cell and it immediately rang. My guess is he was too busy playing the game to answer the phone!

Left 6 unused medium boxes and was told I would get a credit on my credit card. People there didn't know how to do it so I got a receipt that I left them. Still haven't received credit on my credit card.

Absolutely stay away from this location. The guy behind the counter was either drunk or under the influence of something. Very incoherent and never even came out to check the vehicle. Would not give me a receipt that I returned it. Had to call the 1-800 number who was very helpful!

Poorly trained staff. Took a long time to check out. Not very friendly. The facility looked like a convenient store that was going out of business. I had to take a photo of my completed contract. Someone in the parking lot harassed my wife while she was waiting for me. Overall a very frustrating and poor experience. They give U-haul a bad name.

The staff was not professional and did not help with connecting the unit to my vehicle. The unit was not clean inside.

The store smells like a mixture of a wet goat and dirty ashtray. The clerk definitely needs more training on uhaul computer, she had virtually no idea how to compete the transaction. It took way too long, close to a half hour, after I had reserved my rental at another location.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. My venue was changed the day before I was supposed to get the truck. The alternate location was an additional 40 miles from my house. Adding 40$ to my bill and an extra 2hrs of commute. The alternate location had no one present to complete the transaction, and I had to wait an additional 40 minutes to get the truck. Overall I feel that I will not be using uhaul in the future.

These people have no clue how to run the Uhaul service at this location. That is the nicest comment I can make regarding my experience.

We had reserved at a different location. It was confirmed by phone at that location. When we went to pick it up, they said they didn’t have it and it was at the Travel Plaza. We were never notified of this and, even though it wasn’t far to the new location, it was frustrating. Communication beforehand would have been great.

Didn’t receive my receipt, got the wrong truck size. Asked for a 20’ and got a 26’. Didn’t receive location drop off so I had to go around Lexington asking if I could drop it off but they gave me another location where I was supposed to go and take it.

The smell of cigarette smoke in the store was terrible. There was no service counter for the U-Haul portion, everything was done in a back office. There were food wrappers in the cab of the vehicle from the previous renter.

I placed an order which was then changed the night before we needed the truck. When I called customer service to get help, I was transferred four times until I found someone who could actually help me. I was on the phone for an hour and a half before they could get me a new truck. When I initially placed the order, we ordered a trailer with the truck which they said was available. I came to find out that that was not true, which created a lot of stress during our move. This was a very bad experience and I would not recommend U-Haul to a friend

Employees seemed bored and irritated at my arrival. I had to ask them where to drop off the trailer. Lacking in communication skills, not to mention customer service.

This place was horrible, smelt so bad inside I could barely breathe. Took forever to get the trailer - the trailer was dirty, was missing the connector for the lights. There was no help hooking it up or any safety checks for lights or anything else. Trailer was full of red ants as well when I got it back to the house. Avoid the Travel Plaza at all costs.

Vehicle was gross, coffee spilled all over cab of truck, bed of truck was not cleaned of debris. The employees were not helpful, did not enough knowledge of uhaul process. Did not get any paper work for the truck or a receipt. Had to call uhaul and wait for 30 mins to get a copy of my receipt sent to me.

Equipment did not have a lights wire long enough to reach anything. Nobody onsite to help. Had to drive 4 miles to lowes without lights to get an extension cable. This is awful customer service.

clean the equipment . do a check when things are returned . be able to assist the customer renting the customer should not have more knowledge of uhaul procedure than the representitve i dont know anything about that is not an answer when somone needs help. having inquries answered through a 3rd party while in the office is not only bad customer service its rude . having them tell me you cant help and i can return it somewhere else is unacceptable . as i already called customer support to try and not have to deal with that location again .i was told i could be charged 200 dollars for going somehwere else .

Called location to let them know that I may be an hour late and wanted to know if I would be charged for an additional day. They said no, not for only an hour. When I received the invoice they charged me an additional day and the Safe Move fee totaling $48.13 with tax. I've left 3 messages with details and there was no return call. I went into the store on 12/4 and they called the manager(Ali) and the girl told me that he would issue a credit that night. If I do not have the credit by the end of the day I will have my credit card company reverse the charges for the entire bill.

Never answers phone Tells us can't rent trailer due to no internet service, didn't pay his bill Dirty filthy place Flat tires on first trailer 5 calls to 800 U haul, finally connected to regional director who set up contract but says he can't do anythg about this poorly run, nasty, apathetic location that is a pitiful representation of Uhaul because this is not his territory??? I asked the regional director to report this location to someone that does cover this area as this location and its operator are a disgrace to the uhaul industry!! Zero instruction about rental, was told to go get trailer and we hooked up and left!

Make sure that when you allow for a 7:30am pickup you make sure the place is open to do that pickup. I had to wait an hour and a half to get the truck because the uhaul person apparently didn't rent equipment before 9am. Then make sure the truck is clean. The truck I used had apparently been last used to haul trash. It washed swept out. It was muddy inside. In some places the mud had dried and caked onto the inside of the box. So I had to sweep and mop the box of the truck before I had to use it. Picking up the truck was the worst part. Traveling in it wasn't that bad. The cab immaculate compared to the box. When I tried to return the truck, the uhaul manager tried to tell me that there was supposed to be more gas in it than when I got it. But I had the picture of the mileage and gas from when I first turned on the truck to prove that he was wrong. When it was all said and done I had overestimated the mileage and was reimbursed for the unused miles which is why this review is not a one star review. Do not recommend this location for uhaul. Go somewhere else.

I paid in full a day ahead of time. I called the location three different times to verify my order, and no one answered, and the voice mail said it was full. When I arrived, the trailer was not attached to the truck, and the one person working that day took my ID and credit card and sat down at the computer like it was a new transaction. He even tried to argue with me that what I did online was "just to hold the card number" even though I could see the charge in my online banking. And while I'm standing there, the phone rings, he looks at the number, and then puts the phone back down. No wonder I couldn't get through on the phone! He then asked me to open up my camera app on my phone so he could take a picture of the screen because his printer wasn't working. Then he wandered outside without saying a word and started hooking up the trailer. He then hands me the keys and says "ok, you're ready to go." No explanation of how anything in the truck worked. It was then that I noticed he had not even connected the power cable for the trailer lights. Luckily, that was easy to figure out. At this point, the whole deal seemed fishy, so I took a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge, which was just below 3/8 full. Sure enough, when I got to my destination, they started to charge me extra because they said the truck should have had 11/16 when I picked it up. I showed them the picture of the gauge and they quickly removed that charge. I expected to be in and out of there in a few minutes, since I had done everything online and had paid in full. Instead, it took over an hour to get the truck and trailer. I will never rent from this location again.

This location is disgusting. If a truck was available somewhere else I would have left as soon as I walked in. This was not the location I requested and I will never go there again. The man operating it was sitting in his car smoking when I walked into the store, it took him a couple of minutes to get moving and ask what I needed. The store and particularly his office smell like 1000 ash trays full of butts! He didn't know what he as doing as after waiting and watching him stare at his computer for 20 minutes he finally figured out his printer had no paper. Finally I was out of there. The cigarette smell/smoke nearly made me pass out! The cab was dirty and the truck had trash and items from the last user still in it. After driving a couple of miles I stopped to check the back of the truck and realized the door was open! I suppose you don't know this location is so horrible. This experience will absolutely effect my plans in the future. I will never rent from u if there is any chance I will be sent to this location. Also there are six locations very closed to my house..... this location is 10 miles! ALSO... You should not show equipment available at a location if it really isn't! I have never had this happen before and it is disturbing. Your competitors don't do it!!
