This was a one-way rental requiring that I call your 800 number to finalize the drop location. The preferred one didn't accept one-ways so an alternative was agreed to but the email confirmation was for different location. It required 3 calls to confirm the correct location but finding it was very difficult due to lack of adequate signage. It was not listed when I googled it. Drop off was very frustrating.Scott J.

Customer service was bad, the store was sketchy. The truck was dirty, smelt horrible, and was significantly damaged on the exterior. I felt uncomfortable renting from this place and only did so as I needed to pick up furniture urgently.Tracy P.

This was my first experience of using UHaul, as my license is Brazilian that delayed the beginning a little and I was in a hurry because I used the truck to get furniture and had scheduled time. As it was my first experience I did not record or photograph any information from the truck. Although I signed that the tank was in the middle when I started the route I realized that it was not, it was below the half tank, almost in 3/8. When I delivered I put the fuel above the one I received, almost in the middle of the tank, even so I was taxed for 1/8 of the fuel tank. Unfortunately I did not photograph, so I know I can not complain, but I would like to register my displeasure with the service, I believe there was bad faith. In my booking I had booked a 9' van however they gave me a 10' truck, as I am accustomed to renting cars, when this happens the value of the request is charged, so I did not realize also that I would be charged the value of km wheeled by the truck 10', I thought it would be a free upgrade. In a hurry and for not knowing the system (it was my first time) I did not photograph or register anything, but I will do it in other opportunities.Jose S.

The person we picked the uhaul up from had trouble navigating your website. It took a long time to complete the pick up process. Plus there was $100 deposit fee that was unexpected. I know I get that money back but I dont understand the point. I have an account with you, and I have always returned the uhaul in the past.Sarah A.

The equipment was clean for the most part. There was a pair of socks in the truck and the back was left with the furniture covers in it and didn't look like it had been completely cleaned up. I was happy with this location besides the fact he did not use my actual address. They had my drivers license in front of him with my present address and used a totally random one... That bugs me that was done. Why doesn't make sense to me when I'm the customer and provided my actual address.LYNN H.

pick up was scheduled for 9:30am however the location was closed and nobody showed up until 10:15am which delayed out move making a lot of people sit around waiting for nothing. The location is in an industrial area with a gravel parking lot full of debris and pot holesleanne H.

My pickup was quite late because the staff were not present at the time I was scheduled to get the truck. It took days before the location marked my truck as returned despite it being returned well within the scheduled time. They were able to fix it in post so I was not charged for the extra days, but it was a hassle I did not need both during and after my move. The truck was in good repair and worked fine.Nathaniel L.

This is the second time I have dropped off a vehicle at 10 am to find no one available. Everything went well, but I felt a bit nervous dropping off the key. I would have liked some receipt or acknowledgment. Even a large sign informing me of what to do would have been helpful. I couldn't even find the front door of this place. However, everything went like clockwork, so I shouldn't have worried.SHARON C.

The truck was blow a 1/4 tank of gas so I had to buy $40 worth of gas and was charged over $50 after everything. it was not clean and the guy I delt with was no help at all they changed my drop off location very late. I have nothing good to say about u Hal!Jason Z.

I asked to use the washroom. Pigs would not have used it, there was weeks of unflushed matter in both toilets. When flushes,they just threatened to overflow. Looked like they had not been flushed or cleaned ever! Also, my dolly, requested equipment was not on site, he had to drive to another location to get it.rita S.

We went to drop off on Saturday but the place is not open on Saturday or Sunday, Called the 800 number waited 10 minutes and still never got a person. So hung up and left the trailer, not knowing if it was going to be scooped up by someone else and we would be responsible for it. Really should have someone available to accept incoming vehicles.GLEN R.
Check your trailers before renting them out. The one I had caught fire after seizing up. Someone could have gotten hurt badly, or my car that was on the trailer could also have been damaged. NOT SAFE!!ELISABETH C.

When we brought the truck back to Pembroke the man did not seem happy, said he wasn't expecting us, yet i phoned the day before and told them when we'd be dropping off the truck. My husband offered to shake his hand and thank him, but he was not in the mood, and did not shake my husbands hand. He was trying to call someone who wanted to rent the truck, while we were trying to do the paperwork. I found this person very rude and not sure why he's in this kind of buisness. Victoria did not tell us we were limited in millage, i asked and was only told we had 10 days and everything was included. we ended up paying for millage as we were told we went over the amount given. Be careful when renting; they can give you a larger truck, and there is a certain millage you are givenDENIS G.

(valleyvendor.biz)!! Trucks Plus, your outlet in Pembroke does not advertise nor does the owner next door - Bell Mobility. You gave me a great ride - appreciated. A nice page in my paper spotlighting the dozens of locations in my area would benifit you. I did everything online but when I called the outlet to confirm and mentioned I would not be picking it up myself and was told that would not be possible as he did not have the CC info from YOU so - I gave it to him and all was tikkety boo. I'm not happy with the service that this Uhaul location has provided me. I picked up the truck on Saturday night, because Sunday the location is not open so when I finished work on Saturday night and came to pick up the truck, there was equipment laying everywhere in the parking lot and it was not easy to take the truck out. When we moved on Sunday, the distance traveled on the Uhaul was almost 8km's and when I returned the truck, I had refuel the truck $15, but the next day the man at the Uhaul stated that I did not put gas in the truck. I have the receipt to prove the gas that was put into the Uhaul the night I had returned it. I'm sure the gas station across from the location can even prove that I was there that night. The man at the Uhaul charged us an extra $56.09 for the 8km's of gas that he stated we did not put back in. It was very embarrassing at the Uhaul location when he stated that we did not put gas in the Uhaul when there was a lot of people in the building. Also, when we returned the truck that night, the entrance way was blocked with snow and we could not return the truck into the Uhaul's parking lot, so we had to park in another buildings properly. I had to write a note to Uhaul where the location of the truck was, and also to the building where we had parked the truck. It was very inconvenient to walk over the snow piles to even get to the Uhaul location to give back the keys and the note. I'm not happy with the service of this Uhaul location at all.LIEN P.

My move Jan. 31st was a nightmare. The l7 foot cube van broke down 3 times and I never did get moved. When I asked Trucks Plus to rent me a reliable truck, they said that they couldn't rent me another truck until the one I originally rented was returned to their property with a full tank of gas. How could I do that when the truck had been towed away to Ottawa. I live in Pembroke. The truck I rented originaly was 3 hrs. late for our move. We lost all this time in our move. Trucks Plus e-mailed me stating that every day I did not return the truck that I was being charged $29.95. To make a long story short, I had to move myself with my car, trip after trip after trip in freezing -35 degree weather. I froze my feet and hands and injured myself badly - put my knee out. I had already broken this foot 3 times plus the leg and had 4 surgeries. I am NOT supposed to lift anything heavy or stand too long on my foot. I injured my back, my knee and have been unable to use my right hand for a week. Now I have pneumonia from this extremely hard move. The physical and mental stress has been unbearable. I rented the U-Haul so my move could go fairly easily and it was anything BUT!! If the truck would have ran when I had people lined up to help me move, it would have all been done within 2-3 days. This move actually took 11 days!!!! I will never rent from U-Haul and will never recommend it to anyone. The owner of Trucks Plus should be out of business because he did not handle this well at all.DEBBIE Z.

The employees were awesome and courteous. The truck was a death trap!! Bad suspension, bald all-season tires in the winter, MPG gauge not working and it wasn't cleaned off properly so I was covering the highway in flying sheets of potentially deadly ice and snow. The truck looked good but was far from acceptable.JASON F.
