Great service

ERIC GHad to wait an extra hour to get my rental due to management not properly assigning the rental to my reservation. When I called the property to get an explanation to try and find the solution, all he did was keep asking me what time I got there as if I was late when in fact I arrived 30 minutes early. He then tried to blame me referring to a conversation had earlier in the day when he called me saying the rental was ready for me. I told him I knew how to use the app and upload my license, but because he didn’t do his end properly, he said “well you said you knew how to do it, so I don’t know what to tell you.” I had to call uhaul help line to call him so I could get my rental, which almost was not garunteed. He had to start looking for rentals in other areas. It was a nightmare considering I had time constraints.

BRYAN KThe back of the truck was not swept out. The cab by the truck smelled like smoke whoever used it last. There was a cigarette lighter left in the cab of the truck as well. The people who rented the U-Haul were very nice.
Kelly TThe manager here at this location showed up Sunday afternoon while I was almost done dropping off the 6x12 I rented in LaVergne TN. He proceeded to explain I need it to park the U-Haul else where, which we did, me having almost no experience backing up a trailer, I asked him to do it for me, BIG MISTAKE. He proceeded to tell me he was gonna scratch up my Tundra, which he In FACT did scratched up the whole passenger side up against a trash dump. He then apologized but did absolutely nothing else & proceeded to tell me he was sorry but that he knew he was gonna scratch my truck but did it anyway. I’m extremely pissed off at the ugly scratch & will request this to be fixed. If you need pics, I got them. It was the manage at U-Save in 1203 Opelika Rd.

richard MThey closed at lunch and when I needed some help that afternoon, was unable to get any. I tried the U Haul store next door. They had locked their doors even though it was still their operating hours. The person I picked the truck up from was very helpful and professional. Their Saturday hours were just inconvenient

robbie nThe van was ready at our reserved time, but we were informed there was a mandatory $30 insurance charge. This was not listed as mandatory when reserving online, so this was a surprise charge and felt like we were being taken advantage of as should have been disclosed online with full terms. We do carry comprehensive personal auto insurance that covers rented vehicles as well.
Demosthenes LNo suggestions for improvement. The location was exactly as advertised, the vehicle was in good working order, I was charged as per my reservation, and there was easy access to the vehicle and to exit the area. The person who assisted us was very courteous and professional.

Lee DTruck was not the size I originally reserved. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the fault of the pickup location. Interior had debris in it. Fuel tank was at 1/2 tank (9/16 according to the paperwork). Pickup location closed at 12 which was my pickup time however due to traffic I did not arrive until 1:30 but my original pickup location was open until 5 which would have allowed me to at least speak with someone regarding the fuel level.
Clay PMy experience with U-Haul has been frustrating. The pick up location did not have the items I requested in my reservation. The drop-off location was closed and the "geo location" in the app was a pain to get to work, had to call U-Haul to get help. Now the website is telling me my receipt is unavailable to view online. So I have to call and who know how long that will take. Customer service is not a strength of U-Haul. If I have to rent again in the future I will seek out another option than U-Haul.
Patti JThey did not have what I scheduled ready. My overall experience was not pleasant. They canceled part of my order because they didn’t have one even though online it said they did. The truck was clean and no problems getting it out and back. I left over the amount they requested in gas by accident and in the email they receipt they said it was below amount . I left it at half a tank and before it was not even at half a tank .
Champaigne GDropping off equipment was a complete nightmare that took actual hours and 4 locations. Will never use uhaul again.
Jessica RMake sure the tank is ACTUALLY full. I drove 13 miles and when I went to fill it up, it took 4.9 gallons. No big deal really, except that that means I’d have less than 2.5 miles to the gallon. I don’t believe it.

Steve SActually have equipment available when it has been reserved. I showed up in Auburn to pick up a trailer I had reserved. The person I booked with had reserved the wrong date after being told the correct date several times. Two hours later I finally found a smaller trailer at a different location. Service and organization was terrible.

Bridget GThe building didn't look open and the driveway was terrible. When I returned the uhaul, I could not wrap around the building (like I was told and did when I picked the uhaul up) due to a car wash that opened once the uhaul place closed on Saturday.

Bobby HHad a pick up time of 8AM. Had to wait as the representative was not at work yet. Truck was OK but the fuel was nearly empty. Drove directly to gas station and it took 39.2 gallons and $110 to fill. Had no furniture blankets or the transport trailer that I had ordered. Had to drive to another dealer to get the trailer and blankets. Very unhappy!!
Peter SAllow customer selected pick up location. I chose a pick up location due to the availability of also getting supplies. When my reservation was confirmed, I had to pick up the supplies at one place and the trailer at another.

BRyan PMr. Marty Stokes went above and beyond any customer could ask for. He operates an exceptional UHaul rental service which places his customers before his needs. When I was in a bind he went completely out of his way to accommodate us in order to get the trailer so I could meet my college daughters move out date. Without his willingness to go out of his way we would have been in a serious situation. A huge THANK YOU to the manager!!!

Roger BBigger space to drop off the truck. The area is used for car cleaning which takes up a good amount of space so trying to park the truck can be difficult.

Theresa HI picked up my equipment from U Save Cars in Auburn, Alabama, 3 buildings down from UHaul. I did get the dolly I requested and nobody there knew how to connect the trailer, fortunately I knew. I signed zero paperwork. When I had my trailer tore blowout, uhaul did not have me as even renting a trailer. Problem was resolved but still, annoying. Do not let U save in Auburn Alabama rent you equipment. Oh yeah, the one guy who sort of had a clue, couldn’t guide me on trailer properly. I’ve used UHaul a lot and will continue, but will only go to UHaul stores or I will not use your company.
Kevin SThere were pieces of styrofoam in the trailer. It had not been swept out. They sent a link upon renting to me rather than my husband. It expired before I could inspect it (I was at home). Husband returned with no written paperwork so we assumed the contract sent to my email would suffice in case of issues.

Jordan HThe check out process was very lengthy. Despite filling out the online form, the person at the check out had to take 3 photos of my drivers license and was very slow in handling everything. The man answered a phone call and was on the phone for over 15 minutes, and did not assist me in attaching the trailer, only signalling for me to wait. Even though I said that I was in a hurry, he did not appear to make any effort to be more efficient or helpful. The area where the trailer was parked was inconvenient - on a steep slope with a few other vehicles that half obstructed the access. This was very poor customer service indeed.
Tamara WThe hand-off to U-Save was poor. If I would have known this I would have walked-away. I thought I rented from U-haul - this experience was not expected. It worked but from the check-in process to having all the equipment the experience was not smooth. Systemization was terrible.
