I specifically chose to checkin st the counter upon my arrival - my reservation was for 4pm no one was there - I had to checkin online - it was inconvenient since I was in a hurry and your process made me 30 minutes late to my appointment- and then to deliver it / I dropped off the Jets before I realized I had to go through another checkout process which I know I did wrong. I hated this experience- 1 star in my book - I was so confused I wanted to have a person to talk toMigdalia R.

The truck did not run properly. It would not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear sometimes.Timothy H.
I rented a 15 foot truck. The keys they put in my lock box were for a 10 ft. They then proceeded to bill me for the 15 ft charging me for a whole .1 miles (which I thought was funny because I couldn't even move the 15ft truck so the mileage did not change).Nicole D.

There was an issue online from your set up headquarters and this final location. The manager did not see in the system that there was a drop off there for my trailer. He didn't have a jovial back and forth with me about it if you know what I mean and was almost going to charge me an extra fee to drop it off there! I would have left your trailer right there in the street if that would have happened. That wasn't my problem. Then, he must of discovered something in the computer and said leave it there and there would be no extra charge. He proceeded to help me detach it but no thankk you for using U Haul. You have corporate communication issue between corporate and your local facilities.Pat H.

Our pick up location was great and accomadating. However, we originally ordered our trailer from the location on 84 Court in Hanover Park. We reserved it 2-3 weeks earlier and was told they would have a 4x8 trailer for us and were quoted a price of $240 and, if the 4x8 was not available, we could have a 5x8 at the same price. 2 days before pick up, we got a text from U-Haul saying we ne3ded to pick up the 4x8 from a place in Chicago because the 84 Court location did not have the equipment. Luckily the Tubeway location worked with us to get a 5x8 but at a cost of $318. Totally unfair in terms of making a reservation and not getting the equipment promised as well as having to pay a higher price for the trailer. Very disappointing.john C.

Lock was not usable, gas was lower than 1/8 tank at pickup. I had to fill it to 1/4 tank, should have been done prior to my arrival. I should not have had to paid or faced a potential charge for another user or management being at fault.Colton B.

The Rental Location is staffed with very knowledgeable personnel. However the rented 17 ft. truck had a few issues: 1. Low-beam headlights were maladjusted and only projected a beam that was 10-15 feet long from the front bumper. High-Beam had to be used continuously for safe night driving. This reduced the safety margin for on-coming drivers. 2. The fuel cap was not fitting the filler-nozzle securely. Even though hand tightening through the 'clicks', the fuel cap would pop-off the filler nozzle and I would have to stop to re-attach it. 3. Occasional 'chattering' of a valve or solenoid would occur while traveling at steady highway speeds. Could not pinpoint the source location of the chatter. Beyond these items, the truck performed reliably enough for me to complete my delivery assignment. 2.Robert M.

Was told the tank would be at 7/8ths and that's where it needed to be upon return unless I was willing to over-pay for the refill. Tank was at 3/4ths. Still refilled but that was so shady. Will not be using U-haul again.Thomas M.
Rental process has noticeably improved since renting about 5 years ago. The Rental agent at U-Stor-It in Carroll Stream was very knowledgeable and affirmed that I was comfortable with all equipment and safety. Will be renting again within 4 weeks from the same location and have no concerns about "open issues".Robert M.

I was charged for a mirror I did not break. And customer service has not yet fixed that charge. The location should be checking its vehicles each day so knows when something is broken and doesn't try to pin it on an innocent person.AARON W.

The driver door had a poor door seal. There was a lot of wind noise, even driving on local roads. If I had expressway driving, there is no way I could have handled all the wind noise.Peter V.
