AARON BI was very upset with uhaul in general and how I was treated and what I was given during this move. It is hard enough to do a move but when you go through everything I did it makes it even worse
Melissa STruck we were given sounded like muffler was falling off (extremely loud)!! Couldn't even talk to each other while riding in the truck. The truck leaked and got furniture (couch and mattress, bookshelf, etc) wet!! Felt like we were given a piece of "crap" truck to dump on another location (Chicago). In addition, I was given 2 different return addresses to drop the truck off...very confusing and time consuming! We have used Uhaul before and never had any issues

Paul BI chose to do on line check out of my truck. I have a temporary drivers license on paper until my drivers license card comes. The on line check in would not “take it” since there was no bar code. It would have been nice to know this up front. The truck I was assigned was blocked by another truck. Luckily there was staff on site to take care of both these issues (esp moving the other truck out of the way? What if no staff were on site??

Doug CBe honest about the rates. I got online did a “quote”. Mileage was “quoted” at $0.49 but I was charged $0.99 a mile. My rental cost DOUBLE what I expected.

Blaec WSODA OR SOMETHING STICKY HAD BEEN SPILT ON HEAT CONTROL KNOBS, WERE HARD TO BREAK LOOSE AND TURN ON. THE WINDOWS ON THE INSIDE WERE VERY DIRTY. HAD TO CLEAN THEM. IF THEY LOADED THE VAN, I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY FOR THAT. WITH THE MONEY I SPENT TO USE THAT TRUCK IT WOULDN'T HURT UHAUL TO LOAD IT WITHOUT CHARGING. THE CAR HAULER HAD ONE OF THE RACHET STRAPS THAT WOULDN'T TIGHTEN UP. IT JUST KEPT TURNING.IF A COMPANY WANTS TO CHARGE THESE KIND OF PRICES, THEY OUGHT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CLEAN AND WORKING CORRECTLY.

They asked if I was returning and I said "yes" and they said your all set. Never checked to see if any amount of money would be refunded. She said there wouldn't be. I returned the truck 1 day early. If someone could look into it it would be great.

Ralph VThe clerk getting me my unit made every step of the process difficult and took a ridiculous amount of time. The storage area is difficult to maneuver in, has floor that are uneven to the point of being a safety concern, and have malfunctioning lights that compound the safety risks.

LEILANI F | First ImpressionsLighting is awful on the back row where my storage unit was. The motion detector was in the corner which is hard to get to in the dark when you’re in your storage unit. The floors are very uneven and I wasn’t able to open my storage unit door completely. The split units are awful if you’re carrying anything heavy, which required me to upgrade my until. There is no lighting within the storage unit itself. Also, mouse poison is in what looks like a restaurant to-go box which is great that they have it but doesn’t give you a great feeling when leaving valuables in your unit.
myka w | Overall ExperienceI absolutely love Uhaul. U Haul has always been used in my family for as long as I can remember. Hi miscalculated pricing cuz this was the first time I ever had to use U-Haul by myself but it was okay it was still pretty good. The only thing I'm upset about is I'm being charged for mileage that I supposedly went over. I don't think that should be fair because I didn't drive the U-Haul anywhere but from pick up to my apartment and then over to the drop off location and I'm being charged for 4 Extra miles. I know it might sound minuscule but I'm currently homeless so now I have to pay that when I specifically told where do You Haul was going to be so I assumed the 35 mi they gave me was going to be enough but to find out that there was four extra miles put on where I don't even know where that four extra miles came from and now I have to pay it is upsetting and then I was told I was going to have to pay a $30 late fee for that so now it's almost $50 that I might have to pay and I have no home and I'm broke so that's the only thing that upsets me that was done by U-Haul.

Joyce was super rude & unhelpful. The faccility was dirty, & the unit door was too small (no dimensions on website). The move-in instructions that I received via email we’re also incorrect. While checking in, Joyce lied about the free lock on the website and forced us to buy another. Once we were allowed to access the unit, there was a free lock inside. However Joyce won’t let you return the brand new, unopened lock that she forced you to purchase 2 minutes ago.
