MICHAEL EThe employee we spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable. He was great to work with. There were quite a few small screws, washers, etc. rolling around in the back of the truck that could have gouged someone’s furniture as they slid it in. They were hard to see because they blended in so well with the floor, so I don’t blame someone for not seeing them, but we swept them out before returning the truck. Our furniture was safe, but it would definitely have caused damage if we had not noticed.

Hailey CHad to wait 5 minutes for anyone to show. Uhaul did not clearly state ball diameter needed for hitch. We asked to buy just 2”ball. Person tried to sell us ball and bracket saying their pneumatic equipment was not working. Husband asked if he could do himself and person said yes. But then right wrenches were not available which is quite strange since employee said pneumatic equipment had not worked for several months- would think correct wrenches would be available. Used adjustable and made it work. Was just a very unprofessional experience.

donneia r | First ImpressionsThe rental location was great and the gentleman working was very helpful. Your app for checkin was abysmal though. The user experience on a phone is horrible trying to get all of the very small options to fill in as well as the constant “next”. Additionally, you give the option to do everything virtually but then make the customer wait for someone to verify all of it. The waiting experience gives you no indication of how long it is going to take or if there is anything even going on. Checking out was much easier and similar to other car rental check out experiences. I would never recommend using the virtual check in, standing in line is much less frustrating than using your app.

AARON HThe truck was fairly dirty but the part that was troublesome was that there was a "Service Tire Monitor System" warning displayed. I checked the tires and they looked fine and I was only driving the truck a few miles so I ignored it but it seemed wrong that U-Haul had offered it for rent when it clearly needed to be serviced.
Eleanor VI have several trailers, that were unavailable at the time I needed to move a motorcycle. I rented a two wheel trailer that was designed specifically for motorcycles. First, I was pleasantly surprised at the low cost for local daily rental. I can NOT afford to own a motorcycle trailer that sits most of the time, with the low cost of rental, I plan on using these U-Haul rentals in the future. Simple, easy and safe way to go. Thanks for having this available to me.

SHELLY HThe inside of the vehicle was very dirty. Take-out trash was left inside, dog hair covered the seat, and food crumbs filled the floor. It looked like someone had just completed a two week journey of moving their entire life in this thing and lived in it along the way. There was a dolly in the cargo which just took up room and I didn’t request. It was just in the way. The tires were also flat.

Syniah EPOOR COMMUNICATION! My things were destroyed from mice poop. I bought insurance when I first moved my things in. When my things were destroyed the insurance couldn’t be found. I was told I had renters insurance which wasn’t true because I moved out of my house I didn’t have renters insurance. Corporate said they seen my insurance, but the insurance company did not. The general manager kept saying he was going to talk to his boss and never call me back this went on for several months. As a result my things were sold. All of my memories were in there. My photo album with several obituaries were in there. Jewelry my grandmother gave me before she passed was in there. This was THE WORST experience ever. 0 out of 10 they are not for their people. The general manager said he was going to have his workers go through my things and take pictures to show his boss that never happened. I will NEVER use them as a storage again.

TONY TThe general manager who checked me in was very nice and accommodating. However, upon attempting to return the U-Haul truck, I encountered a man who seemingly did not want to check in the truck given. It was five minutes till 8pm. I approached the door, and attempted to knock as it was not yet closing however, the man never answered the door. This resulted in an additional charge for after hours drop off. I was very frustrated, but didn’t make a big deal of it. However, I felt it was very unprofessional. I would have rather he refused then to ignore me completely. Overall, I would recommend the store as the pros outweighed the cons.

The van had an oil change needed message that blocked my ability to track the odometer (very frustrating), outside of van very dirty, windshield fluid wouldn't spray (may have been too cold to work). I would have preferred the van being reviewed while I was there when I returned instead of just handing off the key and being told the receipt would be emailed. Email receipt was just a copy of my morning bill estimate. The van worked for my purposes and price (if my estimate really is the final price) was acceptable. I wish I had received a better kept vehicle for my experience.

SAMUEL LHave someone there to open the store on time. I did not appreciate the 35 minute delay while whoever was supposed to open the store took their time getting to work. And if you make people wait for 35 minutes unnecessarily like that, you apologize immediately, not after a customer tells you that you should have. And you don't make excuses for why the store didn't open on time or why you didn't apologize as soon as you opened the doors - you just apologize because you should actually be sincerely sorry.
MEGAN DI don’t have a bad thing to say about the locations or the employees, but the truck I had was rough. It was very old, didn’t have any sort of camera to help me back up or switch lanes, and it was incredibly loud. It sounded like the doors were open the entire drive, but they weren’t at all. It was a rough 4 hour drive. I will have another move in a few weeks where I will be moving things from Indianapolis to Chicago. Because of this experience, I’ll be shopping around to different moving truck companies unless I can be guaranteed a newer truck from UHaul.

When I'm a customer that already paid and was still paying for service I didn't have! Now I have to wait for uhaul to return my money! Unprofessional and rude!

It really only impacted a single box and that was full of towels and blankets and a bookshelf shows some slight water marks on bottom. Nothing major and that can’t be remedied but otherwise, nonissues at all.

Everyone else was renting vehicles, except us. Listening to the people in front of us, I could tell that nobody’s reservation was going smoothly. Slow computers, an invalid driver’s license, not enough vans to fulfill all reservations, etc etc. Once we finally got access to our unit, the loading dock area was full of broken glass, so I couldn’t back my car up all the way. The whole thing was inefficient. Friendly staff was the highlight.

Last person I talked to offered a $100 pay out AFTER I couldn't get in which wasn't my fault...I went back AGAIN 2 months later to pay and empty the unit but my daughter's belongings were auctioned off from what I was told was possibly by mistake bcs her bill wasn't on a lien as of yet. I was told someone would call me and resolve the situation but I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. The automated service sends you in circles when you call...This IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS! 😞

The facility is sometimes swept, but sometimes there’s junk that’s been dumped on the floors for day. There were several times I visited with people’s possessions dumped out outside beside the loading dock. The bathroom was out of toilet paper the time I tried to go. There was rarely a time when I could access the initial box to enter the code because there were trucks and trailers in front of it. The loading ramp is hard to access because it’s a tight squeeze with trailers and trucks parked in front of the entrance. The facility staff were nice and helped when my code didn’t work or I had trouble accessing the box. It was easy to sign up and I’m glad I could get in by the next day or within hours of paying. I’d love if they could prorate a month, since I moved out in the middle of a 30-day billing cycle, but that’s minor to the code boxes being consistently difficult to access.

I was promised a discount for signing for automatic payments and never received it. After I moved my stuff out of storage I found that I am missing a lot of my stuff, I am missing pictures for my decorations, lamps, and a few boxes of clothes. I do not know where they are or why they would be missing

If you send in secret shoppers to the other locations [pendelton pike] with adults well beyond their 30s and the young adults at the[ keystone ave] they will put them to shame. With staff like them keystone is my set location. Moving is stressful enough. Those types of people keep your customers coming back. This was for my mom. I was done with Uhaul after my last experience. My reservation was switched to a terrible far places that costs me more than I ever paid when using yaw. Those young adults renewed my faith in yaw.

The units doors don't even go to the ground, so our goal or storing a piano was quickly met with failure. We didn't even bother breaking that tag of the storage unit we just left and requested our contract be canceled. I've never seen such a sad excuses for a storage unit, especially considering it cost the same amount a proper storage unit would cost.
Nicholas O | Online Move InI was told by the phone reservationist the facility had a freight elevator to move my furniture to the 3rd floor, so I accepted a third floor unit. When I got to the facility, I learned there was no elevator in the facility. When checking in, the service agent didn’t appear how to input data into the computer. He kept making mistakes and had to redo most items. When I asked if this basic info was in the system because I provided it when I made the reservation. He responded, “ Don’t get me started about the call center.” My movers were waiting to unload their truck and were getting quite impatient. They estimated my fee based on time and had not allowed for a 30 minute check in at the storage unit. These things need to be addressed by management and corrected if I am to recommend U Haul.
MERLE W | First Impressionshumidity control (musty,, mildew) is understandably sub-optimal on units with outside walls; single dehumidifier for large square foot facility - more of a facility design issue (U-Haul corporate vs. local management); less of a problem for units central to building Bill Meguschar. and staff do a fine job - good service, friendly, helpful, work to resolve any issues and in general a pleasure to do business with; would recommend to others and use in the future cost increases were regular and not as price competitive as some, but I utilized the facility for longer than expected (ended up with 2 units @$150, $300/mo total for over a year) so this was inevitable many thanks, Bill Ellison

The unit I was shown to had thin plywood walls with water stain about three inches up. Additionally there was standing water outside of the storage unit by the entrance. I was not about to leave my furniture there! The helpful staff found me another U Haul storage facility not too far away that was newer and had cleaner storage. That worked out for us. You need to redo your storage facility or charge way less, I would not have even stored my things for free there though!
