I have rented many U-haul trucks, as well as used other rental companies. This U-Haul location, has so far provided the best service and experience. Their equipment is well maintained and clean. They are friendly, courteous and very professional. I will definitely continue to return to this Alief location. I highly recommend this U-Haul location, to anyone needing rental and moving equipment. Thank you Mr. Rodney and Mr. Eric, for your assistance. You have a great team of employees!

They did not walk us to check the truck we rented out. we took video ourselves to make sure they did not accuse us of any damages to the truck. They did not ask us to take pictures of mileage before and after return. it's not that we always renting U-Haul. a little reminder would be great, and we would not have to go through so much pain to prove t them that we did not overuse our milage. Yes, I understand we must do that ourselves then again, we are not renting every day to notice these small but very important things. it's just a courtesy and good customer service.

After spending 5hrs trying go get the right rental, I was then sent to another location with the strong information tor rent a cargo van. The amount was trice as much as I was told. After having a panic attack and about to cancel the Rental, Mr. Rodney Morris, Assistant Manager, was called to assist. He went beyond the call of duty and I ended up leaving with a rental. I have been a repeat long time customer. Please make sure that the communication between locations and the 1-800, customer, perhaps converse via phone to insure right equipment is available, the price is locked in and that costumers are well informed of all required current information changes are needed. The long town customers are being made to feel like potential criminals due to all the thefts and losses that accrue by dishonest customers. I give Mr. Rodney Willis 5 stars. Even though that location is out of my way, I will continue to return and recommend that location. Thank you kindly,

Have the installers actually follow the hitch wiring manufacturer's instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcMTlyRRlO0 Mine had visible wires running all over the place, electrical tape already pulling off being used to hold wiring in place. It had wires run through holes with no grommets, etc. to prevent cutting, chafing and shorting. There were wires run through grates rather than taking a few extra minutes to route the wiring properly behind the panels. Just overall a poorly done installation. I took photographs, but I don't see a place to upload them here. I'm having to go back in and correct all the issues so it will continue working long term. I was trying to avoid doing that by having the "professionals" do the work. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I moved out of the storage because some of your staffs do not regard us that rented storage as customers. Time you agreed to open the storage is 9am on Sundays, but on several occasions it will not be open as late as 10:00 am. On many occasions when I go to the office to tell them to come and open the storage when it is about 10:00 am,, their reply is always we are attending to customers. I had never got there after 9am. I have been complaining, no change. I had to move out to rent anther storage. I rented the storage since 2019, it was not like this before. There is no problem on weekdays., Mondays through Fridays, because the house keepers opens the doors at 7am. Very faithful housekeeper.

The only complaint I have is I had reservations at 7 am and the person showed up at 6:55am and about he turned on the lights opened door and start the computer it was pasted 7 am . Running into my reserve time .

The clerk stated that the rental required without exception a credit card and insurance coverage whether I had my own or not. I have rented from U-Haul several times in the past and was never told that. I later learned from either the rental documents or online that U-Haul accepts debit and credit cards and you that you can waive the insurance coverage. I will not be returning to that location or recommend it to anyone, simply because I think that clerk was just profiling which made me very uncomfortable and wary.

The only nuisance to this and other uhaul locations is the placing of merchandise. The merchandise is literally in the way. Its a safety issue. The counters don't have enough space to conduct business. Also the shortages of staff.

First trailer had trash inside it and side markers lights not working. I had to show that to them, to receive a different one. It to had dirt in it, but not as bad as the first one. It also had one side marker light out. But I took it . I pointed the light problem out at pickup and at drop off locations . It pulled good.

More workers and to clarify you need in state license or else you need to provide your lease agreement. Also i thought my card information could pay for it but you have to actually have it on hand so I think they should tell you those things when you reserve I had to go back and forth twice to get the things I needed just to rent. Also was supposed to rent at 9am at a different location didn’t end up getting one til 12pm!!! I reserved for a reason so I wouldn’t get lunch and school traffic. When I dropped it off there was three workers whom two wouldn’t help me I had to wait 15 min for the one guy that was already busy. Bad first uhual experience

I am a disable person and we had a long day decorating for an event. We had the vehcile until sunday morning 8am , decided to return it that same day. Instead i should have waited so i would not give a poor rating is due to me having to stand outside for 30 mins trying to scan the qr code Forney retu3n and it would not work. I tried my wife's phone and same issue along with my sister in laws as well. Nothing worked and frustrating at 10pm in bellaire its not the safest of places. In the mean time I was on the phone trying to check out. After deciding to drop my keys in the drop box, the app finally worked on my sisters in law's phone but need more info such as gas and mileage that I'm not able to retrieve. However, the next day I called to have it checked out, the gentleman already had did it which was a blessing.thats the only reason why I would had given a poor rating but his professionalism and welcoming attitude saved the score.

The staff at this location is top tier! I rented a storage unit for four months and every single interaction I had with any of the U-haul employees was pleasant and most helpful. The facility was well lit and maintained. The only cons were there aren’t any elevators (only two stories) and the interior hallways are narrow. However, the superior customer service and cleanliness of the property made this experience seamless.

Rodney was not only professional, but I personally observed him assisting customers buying propane, helping with truck and storage rentals, and being cordial and nice to his coworkers. As far as my interactions on property, he was completely awesome and took care of everything in a timely and concise manner. The other gentleman wearing a US Army hat with the gray beard was very informative and was great as well. Just in passing, we briefly talked about apartments in the area and places to visit. All in all, this location gave outstanding customer service, was conveniently open on Sunday afternoon, and was very clean and exceeded any expectations that I arrived with. Thank you to the entire Alief Saigon staff.

I would never use this storage again rats ate threw all my boxes damaged my living room set and 3 bedroom sets I had to trash everything my storage was a total mess when I went inside even it was big bugs all over my boxes I couldn’t bring any off the things in my house as my movers was loading the uhaul they had to shake boxes off and even seen a big rat run up wall the whole the place is a total waste of my money I could of used another storage 1801 unit d needs to be rebuilt

We did find a storage unit online and were able to move into it right away. However, we had so much stuff, we needed another unit. The staff was able to assist us in finding a second storage that was bigger to accommodate our belongings that was also close to the first storage unit we had.

I cleaned out this storage unit on the 19th or 20th of November and asked the Manager could I close the account online cause he had a lot of customers and no help. He responded that I should be fine. The only reason I am giving a 2 star because the young black guy who works there is the nicest person ever and was always very helpful. Other than that this is the worst U-Haul place I have ever been to. I have arrived after work before closing time twice and as soon as I pulled up the people inside closed the doors early. Once you call, they get combative, very rude and hang up. I also moved out on my scheduled move out date to avoid being charged and I was still charged and never moved out until a month later. I had no idea until I received an email to pay my bill. It is very unprofessional there. I'm sure there is a ton of vacant units that they are still charging people for. I called the main customer service line and was apologized to but never got reimbursed for the extra money I paid. Everyone sucks there except that one guy
