patrick mWe reserved the trailer on the Internet, where it said reservation guaranteed select time then my husband gets there and they said that the reservations are not guaranteed and they don’t have a trailer for us that we have to go to Bethpage and they would only have an open trailer for us not to close one that we had reserved. They claim that they tried to contact me, but they had my phone number wrong and nobody picked up so they didn’t try to reach out via email at all meanwhile, on my profile the phone number is correct. This was very disappointing because we needed a closed one for the reason we booked it and why would they say the reservation is guaranteed and select a time if there’s no guarantee of a reservation. That’s false advertisement. And the fact that they hadn’t tried to reach out via email when they claimed the phone number wasn’t working is also unacceptable plans were made based off of this reservation. Then my husband had to drive back to Bethpage to drop off the trailer that we rented, he was not able to drop off at the Huntington location, which is where we originally scheduled because it’s close to our home. This whole experience was disappointing to say the least and nothing was done to compensate. They wouldn’t even take the trailer back in Huntington. They told us that they would charge us $200 and we’ll be blacklisted and we wouldn’t be able to use U-Haul again.

LORI MThe first cargo van I was assigned smelled like cigarette smoke both INSIDE the driver's cabin AND the back cargo area. We had to ask for another one. This should have been picked up (and definitely charged to the prior rentor) before me. Additionally the poor ONE GUY working is not fair, he was busting his body to help a LINE of customers on a Saturday. Kudos to him. Thumbs for expecting ONE EMPLOYEE to handle this without breaking his back.

MARLON iI've used this location twice recently for van rentals. Both times the workers at this location were extremely helpful and the vans were in great condition. I was considering trying a rental from home depot, but because of my experience here I am going to stick with Uhaul.
francesco a1)Pick up was a bit long. There was only one employee on duty to help everyone; people picking up, people dropping off, people buying packing supplies. Although he was working quickly and efficiently, he really needed some help. 2) Although the trailer was well maintained overall, the ratcheting straps used to secure the vehicle to the car were stiff and a bit difficult to operate. The ratchet portion needed some WD40/lubrication.

Harold RComputers were slow, took 1hr to get my already reserved trailer. Trailer came missing the wire to allow me to have working lights on trailer. Left the lot without working brake lights on trailer. Asked worker if I buy the extension, do I get reimbursed.... he said no..... so I had to spend 22 bucks to get the $40 rental working?? Doesn't make sense.
Andrew CThe trucks steering was horrible. As soon as you let go of the steering wheel the truck turned right and in general it was all over the road.

JAVIER OThere was a sticker with the vehicle ID number placed on the dashboard in front of the instrument panel. It blocked the shifter settings (park, drive, reverse, neutral, etc.) At first, I thought the panel was broken, but I eventually found it. This is not a safe place to place this sticker. Also, the reverse camera was broken.

RANDY TI got the truck with 3/4 gas. And returned it with 3/4 gas. And still got charged almost $18 for gas. Rep put the wrong fuel level in the beginning and I didn’t realize. Other than that, it was a smooth process.

Paul Rhad a reservation for well over a week yet what I reserved was not there. Waited two extra hours because it was supposed to be there within that timeframe still never showed up so I had to be put in a bigger truck with crappy gas mileage and then was charge a refill fee when I had already put over $80 worth of gas in it which if I had the vehicle that I reserved would've been way more than enough because it would've gotten three times a mileage. I shouldn't have to pay because they couldn't honor their reservation.

SALEEMUDDIN MUHaul changed the location for pickup at the last minute. Was very inconvenient since it increased my travel time, without explanation. In addition, I was told there'd be a dolly for move a heavy piece of furniture, the reason I rented the truck. There was no dolly, and I was told that there are never dollies available at that location but UHaul represents that there are anyway online. So I had to leave the furniture behind and have lost the opportunity to move it.
GREGORY MI would have liked to rent a dolly. There wasn't one available. The employee who assisted us was extremely pleasant.
