I picked up a van and it was dirty and had uhaul $19 dashboard sales cardboard in the cab and a couple in the cargo area. After returning the vehicle they charged me for the cleaning fee. They are not following proper practices and procedures resulting in customers getting billed incorrectly - i have pictures from when i received the vehicle and again when i returned it. It was returned in the exact same condition as i received it yet they decided to charge me for this fee.
GURPREETS NWorst location ever i had a problem pickup from app sp i went inside the uhaul location manager just to ask what is the issue why its not working staff told to stand in line after waiting for 1hr 40 min i was in the counter and told the manger she was so rude telling its not problem you have wait for 1 hr 40 min i was like what i am running company that its my problem . So she refused to serve me and told you can go to different location such an insulting i capture the whole video in my phone i am going to viral it online soon you will be seeing all over social media
robby aSelf pick up did not go smooth. U-Haul app had difficulty scanning drivers license so need to talk to live agent. Also, finding a truck and its key was tricky and again needed a long phone conversation with live agent
Kenji AI was trying to book a trailer , app was showing that 6*12 trailer option as available whereas at the location it was told that 6*12 is not eligible for one way pick up . So please clarify this diff in information.
Prasanna CThere was papers inside the vehicle from the last renter. The oil change light on dash was on. Could be cleaner in the drivers cab. But the staff at this location was professional and efficient.

The alightment was way off causing the truck to shake. On top of all that,the truck leaked and half of our boxes got wet

MARKANTHONY MI get it, Friday plus rainy day. But that’s no excuses for staff to act like they on holiday. Went to pick up a trailer. At the register it took almost 40 mins. 30 mins waiting in line, only one register was open. Afterwards I was told to go outside and that someone will come help with the connection of the trailer, 20 mins of waiting and I got fed up of waiting. Had to connect the trailer myself! Only 35 mins after a uhaul employee happened to pass by to check the connection. SO MUCH TIME WASTE?????? Returning it was no fun either. Waited 25 mins before someone came to verify the trailer was ok … guy come on you can do better then that

MINESH MMy reservation was for 7:30 on March 31/24. Upon arrival, location was closed. Tried using the app but found the app absolutely unfriendly. Called your toll free number and spoke to a representative, who had to talk me through the entire app and finally direct us to the truck, which held the key in the back of it. Upon opening the truck, no trollies were found, I had ordered 2. By the time we got the truck, it was 8:30. I was already half an hour late for my move, as I had the elevator booked from 8 - 10 am. Move was done with no trollies, and once finished, we went back to Uhaul, as instructed by the representative, to find line ups out the door. In my frustration, I began to cry, as everything was going so wrong. I managed to flag down one of the employees, and when he saw that I was crying, automatically, raced around and found me the trollies I needed. I am so not please with the fact that the planet has to use apps now for every little thing. I am not techy that way. I am old school, I want to physically speak with people, book the reservation with people and not have to worry that an app is determining the fate of my reservation. Apart from the staff, who were great that day, I am not please whatsoever with the overall experience but in the end, still had to pay a whopping $144.00 for this terrible experience.

Rajat SPut up proper signs for where to return trucks. Only signs pointed to customer service so I got my truck and trailer stuck in a parking lot. Had to back out. Needed to catch flight. No help from employees besides telling me “we told you at pickup that trailers have to go to the same spot you got them” clearly I didn’t get my truck from this location. Was given incorrect instructions. Overall ruined my U-Haul experience. Everything was great (pickup, driving, moving) until I dropped off the truck. Ruined U-Haul for me.

Doug SThe staff never answer anything correctly. My husband told them that we no longer needed the storage unit so they told him to take the lock off an leave, that’s it. They didn’t tell him he had to do the online move out process. We were scheduled for auto pay the next day and if we did what they said the payment would have been taken from my credit card. It didn’t make sense so I went online and looked until I found out what I had to do.

The staff was incredibly rude . Her name was Hannah S . The location is 152 east drive brampton . She said that we will not provide the $22 refund as your tank level is below 1/4. Now this just doesnt make any sense I got the truck at almost an empty tank I invested $25 to fill gas and I would have spent 30 to get a $22 refund this just doesn't make any sense . The employee’s name is Hannah S and she was extremely rude . She was using her phone while providing inaccurate information. I drove maximum 16 miles and then why should I spend 30 dollars to get a $22 refund which I was not provided and humiliated by Hannah S. Sounds like Uhaul is a scam and I am going to put a google review as well. I am not interested in using U haul ever again in my life.
Vicky KI’ve booked a 10’ truck 2 weeks before my moving, got confirmation about the truck as well. But on the day of moving uhaul called and cancelled my truck saying it went for repairs. How can a professional company say this to a customer just a hour before moving. This is soo unpleasant and poor management for a company. I had to pay 100+ for my moving. Where as uhaul promotes moving only by 19.99 for 10’ truck! Ridiculous! Never using uhaul again. Thanks!

WILLIAM VThe truck was dirty with wood shavings in the cab. The truck was very loud from the inside. The first truck was given had a cracked side mirror, and the back of the truck the sliding door was stuck couldn't close it. We wasted extra time. In the end, we were swapped with another truck. The ride from Brampton to Woodstock was very pleasant. The truck was very loud. The maintenance staff were very helpful. The front desk customer service representatives were friendly and very polite.

Booked a reservation still had to wait 45 mins, first van had a check engine light, was told to just take it I asked for written confirmation U haul was aware they refused so not to get charged when returning. I was issued a different van. It was one of the most frustrating experiences ever...what is the point of having booked an reservation loading all the info before arriving then having to do it all again when at the counter? Please learn to respect people's time, if a van is booked have it ready. Really poor....never going to that location again and will tell everyone I know to never go there..totally shi!

Muhib PWhen they gave me the truck they state the wrong indication of the fuel in the truck. later they charged me extra charges which was $43. And i show them that i fill up fuel and the distance which was understandable. but they still charged me anyway and hand me a bill without checking it again. luckily I had fuel indicator photo which after justify and they gave my money back. i had to wait and prove them wrong which is waste of energy and time.
Nirmal PWe use metric system in Canada,but I was told they count the distance in miles.The gas consumption also looks like more than the other regular trucks of same size.The clock time was also set permanent. Radio AM frequency was not set.Suspention system hard.Overall not a bad service.

JOSEPH Oi was impressed with the whole experience with uhaul, the faucilty was clean and well maintained. the loading dock and trolleys on site made moving in my furniture especially the big piece more bearable always will store with uhaul if one month rent is free more affordable for people who are less fortunate.

I took a trailer today and i went there to return it around 7.45 and the lady who sitted at front told wait at back one guy is coming and i waited until 8.15 and went and ask at front and then they said its closed and they cant do anything you can untie it there ourown but there is no guarantee that trailer will be there i dont have the parking space for this shit and im staying awake now and parkwd in a parking lot. Try to hire some staff that has minimum commen sense

louise c | Overall ExperienceWorst experience I’ve ever had with a service provider. Had most of my storage items ruined by a cooking oil leak from a unit above mine. I spent a day throwing out half the things that were ruined including items of sentimental value that were ruined. I had to move my belongings and sort everything myself and then was offered one month free in my new unit as compensation. Finally I was recently told my unit was leaking into oil into a neighbouring unit I was asked to come in on Sunday, but as i live over an hour away I told them I’d come in Monday. I showed up Monday morning to find out my lock had already been cut without my permission or notification and that there was no leaks from my unit so it must’ve been a misunderstanding. The front of house staff are abysmal and the management is even worse. Under no circumstances ever take a unit at this location.

Mice droppings in the entire units and everything had to be washed down from the unit and stored elsewhere. Also you people don't give back money if you move out of your units early. In this day and age money isn't easy to come by and big corporations are always taking from the poor.I had to go where my money can stretch and friendly staff who really care about the customer.

It was not suitable as it took up a lot of space and made half of it difficult to access. This location has very few staff available and long wait times for any assistance. They don't have a lot of knowledge/job training, although they try to be helpful. What shows available online is not necessarily accurate. There is also construction going on and we got blocked in the loading bay for quite a while by dump trucks.

I rented this unit at $55.00/month and every 3 months their manager would send an email advising of a nominal charge and justified this increase due to upgrades to the facility, meanwhile there's been no changes whatsoever to the unit. As of APR-23, I am now being charged $250.00/month (which is pathetic) for a 5x5x8 unit. The staff is extremely rude, understanding and/or speaking English is laughable. The manager is extremely rude himself and is rarely available. I took my business elsewhere and recommend that you do as well - you've been forewarned. I am paying $125.00/month at my new location for a 10x15x10. #pathetic #rude #scammers #thieves

There was a lock on the unit when I arrived, when I got help to access the unit there was no lock inside. The worker told me she would maybe grab the lock for me and after getting everything moved in and still she hadn't returned so I had to go all the way back to the office to get the lock from her. It would have been nice to have had a friendlier and more helpful encounter.

On-site staff were very friendly and helpful with establishing the initial account and unit. Directions for access were clear, the facility was extremely clean, well lit and secure. There were also Dollie’s available at the entrance for use if needed. However I was told (& it was posted online) that the lock would be provided free of charge, it wasn’t. I had to purchase it. I was also told that the lock would be inside the unit. Upon arrival at the unit, there was no lock. As there were no customer service phones in the facility I had to flag down staff that were working outside for assistance. I would strongly recommend service phones that connect to the front desk for customer service as there is no staff in the storage area. Otherwise moving in was pleasant

They did everything to force me out, they did not take my payment for the unit automatically as agreed they made mre go into late payment 3 months in a row, I came in to the store to pay the second and third time. The third time I had it out with this Rajnit person who lied through her teeth, was most abrupt and condescending. She outright called me a liar, and said I had no cc cards listed when im fact I had 3 listed. When I told her I had screen shot of the 3 cards on my file, she told me she did not care about my screenshot, that I had none. Then she tried to tell me my Walmart Financial M/C was not a real cc, that it was not issued by a bank. I told her this is accepted all over the world where MC's are accepted. Then she stated it does not have a chip, so I held it up in front of her and asked " what is that, is it not a chip". Suddenly silence. She proved very convincingly she has no idea about running a business, she has no people or customer service skills, and should not be allowed to continue as part of the team running this outlet

Was charged late fee each month. Called district manager last month and was told to just pretend to move out and move right back in, all just paper work and this would change due date. She said they should have done this years ago for me. When I asked staff to do this young girl did not know how to do this procedure. Finally one of the staff knew how to do this and completed my request. This location gives worst customer service I have ever experienced and manager is never there because I have tried to talk to her for months with no success hence the call to district manager. You guys give uhaul a bad name.

I got a storage unit here and the girl who served me (brown hair with green tips) was having conversations with her co-workers while serving me and gave me wrong information! She told me I could put my own lock but that i had to also have a Uhaul lock that i needed to buy. I did exactly that and i told her i would be returning within a month to get my stuff out of the unit as there was a promotion for 1 month free storage with use of a Uhaul truck. I told her the exact date several times as she was distracted. I went on vacation for that month and kept getting calls from them! They called me during my vacation where i didn't have much reception and told me i needed to come to the storage unit and remove my lock as I wasn't allowed to have one. I told the girl i was told i could. She started to get mad/ sassy with me and told me if i don't remove it they will charge me 50-150$ to get it removed for me. She was very unprofessional! The manager then called me and told me that i'm a delinquent when i told the girl on the phone that I saw other people also had their own lock. Very unprofessional coming from a manger! The manager never addressed the wrong information i was given by their workers! Instead she asks me when i will be picking up my stuff, which I had already informed the girl with green tips, on the first day, several times as she was distracted talking to her co-worker! Highly unqualified workers and bad management! Being on vacation and having to deal with them and reporting it to Uhaul was a huge hassle and inconvenience! NEVER AGAIN!

Nice as they are, the US agents could rarely resolve my local problems. It was extremely frustrating not ever getting a live local employee on the phone in an entire year. 2. I requested an email reminder be sent to me when the storage locker payment was coming due. Was told it was not possible to do that (despite the fact I'd had them sent to me from my other two U-Haul storage rentals.) After I called the customer service line in the US directly to request it, the email reminders magically started to appear. 3. Every other UHaul storage facility I've used gave access to the lockers after store hours up to 10pm. You apparently have to specifically request it with this one. Could not get in my locker two days in a row until access was "granted". Still took 24 hrs to process, causing moving out delays for me. This location needs to start picking up the phone and offering live customer service directly to their clients instead of throwing them all over to the US side to handle.

The van was poorly maintained and the exhaust was very loud. The check engine light came on 5 minutes into my trip. The lady that rented the vehicle then called me after I dropped it off saying I returned it without the muffler, that it was my fault and then she tried to extort money from me to fix it. She was unreasonable to deal with and is a poor ambassador for the U-Haul brand. I hope that bad actors such as this are punished because the experience for the customer was awful. I understand that each dealer is independent of the others. The storage facility was great though it took me a while to figure out how to get in. I would definitely recommend your facility. On top of that your staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff is often stressed out , overwhelmed and overworked! They actually did not put my termination of my rental unit in the computer system properly , as the agent was overwhelmed and wrongly charged another month (now corrected). As usual , there was a long lineup at month's end. The problem is that are only one lineup and often are so long. Everyone is put into one lineup : truck rentals and other complicated rental agreements ( that take a long time) and then other retail purchases that takes a minute. . There should be a line up just for simple merchandise transactions that just take minutes , so you don't have to stand in line half an hour for example just to buy tape or boxes . Otherwise , must say an associate named "Samantha " was amazing and perhaps should be in a managerial position one day. Thank you . 🙂

When I realized that there was no email confirmation, I phoned and there was no record of the application and the process had to be repeated on the phone. When we were booking the truck the same thing happened. It could have been a real disaster if I had not followed up by phone. The staff however, were wonderful, helpful, pleasant, kind, understanding and for that reason, I would recommend them to anyone.

And the area was kept clean and the price wasn't bad. I did have one issue though. I was away from my storage unit for 1 year, and when I went back to get my stuff I was surprised to see many mouse droppings. So that would be the only negative. I had to throw out a mattress and box spring, as well as two other boxes of towels. I know mice aren't anyones fault, but just a heads up to others who have to store items, pack them accordingly.
