Dustin ProctorNot happy at all with the service! so many things could have been prevented! First off… First day when my Help got here, tell me move they were coming from out of town so we started a little later than I wanted to which was fine cause I figured since the storage was supposed to be 24 hour access well our first load we get there after 10 PM comes to find out we can gain access. My access code was denied. We had to wait telephone business day beings the one 800 number we called not help us so we were to tell the next day and I called the manager at the store was very nice and gave me an extra day for the U-Haul for the inconvenience. The same day I had to go back in there to rent another storage beings. The one I got was way too small and I had to extend my U-Haul due to the weather and my help. Had to leave to get back on the road to go home. So I was left to do most of my moving by myself. The next day after I got the second storage, I went and started to move the rest of my belongings to the second storage on my paperwork which I still have the representative at the U-Haul store. Had my unit put down as 1111 so when I got to the unit I unloaded the truck and I headed back to my place to go get another load, which took me a few hours beings Moving everything myself. After I fill the truck to make another haul to the storage I get there and there’s a red padlock on my storage unit it’s after hours and I had to be out of my old apartment the very next day and resident manager is not a very pleasant guy to work with. The next morning I’m trying to get in pack up as much as I could get in contact with the U-Haul and the property manager to let them know of the situation, but as I’m on hold, the property manager comes to my place and was not happy and told me I was supposed to be out of my unit and I tried to explain the situation he would not hear it so now I am being charged with another months rent or I get taken to court for eviction beings I was there after the first although I didn’t stay there because my stuff was still in the unit my hands were tied. I was unable to get into my storage. Second of all, the representatives kept calling me, asking me when I was going to have the U-Haul back well would’ve been back sooner rather than later if I was able to get into my storage like I should have been able to. Now I am being charged for mileage that is inaccurate, I shouldn’t even been charged for mileage when the only place we went to was to the storage unit to turn around twice because I was unable to unload my belongings and second of all I did not agree to have that safe move of $90 that is an accurate I should be reimbursed for that $90 that I did not agree and as for the gas that I am being charged $25 supposedly there was 3/4 of the tank which is inaccurate because I filled the tank right before I dropped it off and it was at a half a tank! I have a picture to prove to you guys that it was at a half a tank! And with my paperwork of my storage units with the correct unit numbers on them! And I never agreed to the safe move of $90. As for the storage units. I have my own insurance and I have gave it to the representatives not once but three times! There is no way I should be $372 for all the trouble that I went through trying to get into the storage and most definitely be refunded the $90 that I did not agree to for the safe move!
Jessica LaFountainWe arrived shortly after the store opened. Kevin was very efficient and was working the people to get what they needed as quickly as possible. He did a great job for an army of one. I think his co-worker did not show up as when the second gal showed up, she asked where the other one was. He was very professional with his answer to her as there were several customers within ear shot. Kevin made sure that I had all that I needed to make my move as easy as possible. Five star service indeed!
tracie wallenbergNot a good experience at all. The person (girl) at the front desk was not at all friendly. I had to go out and look for the truck in the lot myself. Would have been great customer service to start the truck and warm it up. The back of the truck was not hitched and had an 1/8 gap so snow was in the back. I rented a furniture dolly and the front desk saleslady did not even tell me she set it out for me to take to the truck. I ended up switching the furniture dolly for a utility dolly from another guy who was very helpful. I've rented from U-Haul before in Bismarck, ND and they are always so willing to help, going above and beyond helping. I won't use this location again, that is for sure.
SHARON LAMONTOverall the experience was good. The first time I booked was for a Trailer in Brainerd. They didn’t have what I reserved and never offered up their $50 they say you get if they don’t have what you reserve at the location you reserve it.

I got frustrated and went inside to check in with a real person and she told me she couldn't help me because I would have to back out of the app. Do not recommend using the app.

I am used to better customer centric service than this.

Once i got it home i found it was way to much trailer for what I needed. I didn't use the trailer so I wound up returning it the next available day and wasting$100. Not sure that I would waste the time effort or money to try this again.

The whole experience took approximately 30 minutes.

Corinne Kukes | Overall ExperienceI personally called many times to reach the staff at the UHaul office and no one ever answered. The security gate was always broken or left wide open. The door closest to our unit was removed as an access point forcing us to haul all of our items back and forth down the length of the storage unit once we were done utilizing them after each of our swim meets. We as a team learned to adjust to the previously mentioned reasons for our safety ie. making sure we went to the unit with a buddy and visited only during the day light hours. The final reason we left was due to the fact it wasn't heated. We paid for heated storage as our electronic touch pads for the swimming pool can be damaged with cold. Many times, I accessed the space I could see my breathe inside the building. Ultimately, we moved to a different UHaul facility where all of our concerns were eliminated.

Kathryn Petrock | First ImpressionsI had a great experience for many of the ten years until someone climbed over the unit walls and stole many items and ransacked the containers/boxes/trunks. We contacted the police who came and reviewed the incident and also asked for video footage to be reviewed with no results. It seemed that this could have been easily researched by finding out who leased a unit adjacent to mine to have had access over the small crawl space for a good length of time. Also the empty units were left unlocked and people would sleep, do drugs, etc in the units making it eventually an unsafe place to go. Having secured these empty units would have made a world of difference. Eventually, the back (south) doors where secured for exit emergency only but the unleased units were left unlocked so the transient population could till use them for there own. Frustrating as these units could easily have been locked by Uhaul. Perhaps heated indoor units is not the answer to secure storage. Thank you for this exit interview. And hope this helps for future secure units.

jerome nelson | Overall ExperienceOnly reason being I have been paying 120$ every month for a 10x10 at main Ave location and as I stand there to pay im reading signs hung on display garages and the 10x10 says 74$ so I ask about it and was told them r 7th Ave prices what is the difference and was told convenients when not true for me and for sure not 50 dollars more convenient so please get back to me and let me know if we could work a little something out cuz that's highway robbery $50 more for the same exact garage same exact security same exact everything same exact mice that I have in mind here I'm sure you have out there so I'd like to know a little bit more specific by the prices $50 more a month thank you other than that everything's been great

Signed up for auto payment when I rented but it didn’t work and when I went to access my storage I was locked out. I understand things happen sometimes but was not happy that nobody was available to let me into my unit when payment was figured out. Also, gate was frequently just standing open when I came or when I drove by. Rented through the winter and several times when I came my lock was frozen shut and I could not get into my unit. I feel someone should have been able to assist me instead of telling me there was nothing they could do.
