DWAIN ALLEYThe door was not closed on my trailer when I picked it up. I didn't check it, but neither did my agent. Your app did not notify me to check the tag # and equipment ID until after I left the property. Not big problems, but room for improvement.
STEPHEN MILLERAll the team members I interacted with at this location where friendly and knowledgeable, despite the rough condition of their building due to a recent tornado I was very impressed with the high spirits of the associates, even while working out of a storage unit they took care of me quickly and with a smile!

MARTI KASTNERThis was the worst location for any U Haul experience that I have ever had. The check in was not as I had reserved. No one inspected the truck before I rented it. The truck was dirty and hard to get our of the lot. There was no customer parking for a local one day move. The equipment that I had reserved was not available (furniture dolly). The moving help that I had reserved for 2 hours sent a text at 9:00pm the night before the move and informed me that they would not arrive as scheduled as they took on another move and they would need to charge me for 4 hours and not 2. I cancelled them and found help from another source.

Would not have known had I not been there yesterday for this trailer rental. Main reservations need to be updated on these things. I just recently made reservation for incoming truck and storage so timing not reason. Tornado took place several months ago.
Gary McCarneyGreat people! They got me checked in and then out with speed and care! The truck was clean and exactly what I needed to move my toolboxes to a new employer. The extra day charge for being 2 hours over 1 day was worth it considering I could lock my equipment up (with supplied lock) and keep it dry and protected from the elements.

I was told everything was good to go and that I was okay with the gas. the lady kept rushing me and claimed she would make sure I get my receipt once I got it, it had so many fees that customer service could help solve the issue... This place a mess and they should do better. The lady took they keys fast and was laughing while on the phone. I never used this location but I would never use uhaul again next time i will continue to pay to have people move me smh.

Victoria BensonI paid for rent and I got keys for truck around 10am Friday, I told them, I will pick up the truck later in a day. Came back in afternoon to pick up truck. Was trying to find spot where I can leave my car. They show me a parking spot. And I asked them I might to bring it back at 10am, they said we already have another reservation on that truck. I tried my best I was moving some heavy stuff. I had help loading it all night got to my new storage at 6 am starting unloading but I could not find any help in a morning was trying to do it my self was very close they called me I missed I was trying to call back no answer. I wrote a message in U-Haul app, no answer. I got done with it clean it up return the truck same time I picked up the truck. And they charge me extra 92 dollars because it not 10am when I signed in my rental agreement. I told them I was calling and sent a message. They said they newer got my message. And that truck got issues with brakes (I think they been over heated before) I rented same truck many times they stop as they should, this one barely stops.
Stefan NistorI had a previous bad experience at the Mt Juliet location where I was originally was supposed to have this hitch installed, they were awful and unprofessional. This Hendersonville location however was truly great. Although the facility itself was in total disarray while trying to rebuild from the tornado, the staff and service was top notch. I was very pleased. It was worth the 45 minute drive to get there. Will never go back to Mt Juliet again.
Ellen HaleyNo signage to direct you where the temporary rental office is. Employees were not friendly or helpful at all. I was not asked if I needed any accessories with my truck, like a dolly or straps or moving blankets. They acted like I was annoying them trying to pick up my rental. I have rented here many times in the past with a great experience, so I don't understand what changed, other than the damage from the recent tornado. Unless the current employees are just temporary during the rebuilding process I would NOT recommend using this U-Haul location for equipment rental.

Kimberly CarrollThis location was hit by a tornado in December and they are in the process of rebuilding. However, they need to have a better way to pick up rental trucks than to stand outside in the pouring down rain. The associate had a roof over his head but the customers had to wait in line outside in the pouring rain. We were all soaked and then had to drive the rental truck to the moving location that way. I understand that the building was damaged but there has to be a better way to take care of the customers.

Ed MimmsIf the appointment time needs to change, please notify people in further advance than the morning of the appointment... it was very inconvenient to shuffle all our plans around the day of to ensure we made the new appointment time. We had the appointment for almost 2 weeks ahead of time! Same thing with the parts not being in stock. There were nearly 2 weeks to get the parts or to notify us if you were unable to get them. Making my partner (who did me a wonderful favor by bringing it in for me since the new appointment was during my work hours and changed on short notice) stand out in the rain because there's nowhere else to wait was also horrible service. I understand this location was hit by a tornado a month ago. You all must be very stressed about the repairs and such needed. But you still had nearly 2 weeks to plan for this, and let us know what to expect, and give us the opportunity to plan accordingly. It also seems like the premises may be unsafe and shouldn't be open for business at all. Refunding for the parts that weren't in stock was the bare minimum required by law. There was no further concession offered for all of the other issues. Now we have to scramble to find and install the missing parts on our own ahead of our upcoming move. I'll be recommending everyone to stay away from this location and travel further to go elsewhere. We scheduled online and chose this location (which was out of our way) specifically because the website said it had the appointment time that worked for us, and would have all the parts needed. This was terrible service all around.

William PointerI was charged for mileage I did not use. I was quoted 19.99 per day and charged 40.00 per day. The app checkin was horrible. It took me 2 1/2 hours to check into my truck and 45 minutes to return it. I was told the office was open until 8pm and the closed at 5pm. Horrible experience.

Also, I reserved a 10' truck instead of a pickup because a ramp was needed for moving yet there was no ramp on the 10' truck. It did not state anywhere online that a ramp was not included.

chandra tateNo one actually checked the truck in they gave me. The keys told me it would be $27 not to go over 20 miles. I went 15 I was told to put a quarter tank of gas in it. I put a 1/2 a tank of gas in it before I brought it back. I was charged double what I was told. I would be charged and nobody even looked at the truck or clean the truck. It's smell like nasty asshole and goddamn feet inside of it. You'll have too much going on at this location to actually be running. I will never rent from this you hall again

Some customers may not shut the exterior & interior doors of the freight elevator stranding other people. We got stuck almost 45 minutes waiting. We finally reached the staff & THEY were able to help us out by running up the stairs & properly shutting the elevator for us. Also, the Staff were SUPER helpful clearing a spot for our long trailer to unload. HIGHLY recommend this U-Haul.

Was scheduled for 11:15 for Hendersonville, TN but was changed Madisonville, TN for 11:15, but the storage unit I was loading out of was Hendersonville. I accepted the 1:30 PM at Hendersonville; however, the truck didn’t show until after 2:05 PM. The elevator delays the rest of the day were time consuming and a large constraint to load the truck by myself. Thank goodness I didn’t hire loading help since the elevator delays meant the helpers would have been standing around for over an hour. I ended up finish loading, but it was after 7:00 PM and I still needed to connect the transporter that no one showed me which one to connect so I stayed the night costing more money and time. The next morning I came back and checked out of 2098 and picked up the transporter. One of the Associates helped me hook up the hitch; however, the other said I would have to pay an additional $20 fee to load my vehicle onto the transporter. I said forget that and I did it myself, ask a gentleman that was loading his truck to help guide me on the ramp. I made all the connections myself.

Corinne Sullivan | Overall Experience!!! I cut my foot pretty badly on the remains of a metal sign post in front of the parking spot closest to the storage unit doors. Bad enough to require a trip to a doctor. Please fully cut that down or cover it with concrete or something to prevent other people from suffering the same fate !!! Other than that everything was ok. Moving sucks so it's hard to gush about a great experience, but all the staff were friendly and helpful, the resources like free carts and the free box stack made a huge difference, and the place was clean and felt safe for moving late at night to avoid the summer heat.

He has no people skills and refused to research what I told him happened & instead said I owed him money when I only had the storage space for 2 weeks on what was supposed to be my 1 free month. It’s not cool having the manager basically infer you’re telling a lie & being told file a action report which I did & he had to eat crow bc I was correct. The storage space hinge was broken when I went to put lock on and lock wouldn’t go on bc of door hinge so I asked U-Haul worker to uncheck me out of the system & he agreed. I found out 3/03/22 he had not checked me out and a 3nd U-Haul worker said he’d fix it in the computer with the correct move in date which I found out wasn’t corrected when Ray called me back claiming I owed money. I checked out early & will NEVER use U-Haul again I’m any capacity bc of the horrible way they treated me. Oh and his workers hung up on me when they called me and I asked the to wait a simple minute and when called out on it in person he said that was him but didn’t even apologize. Run - don’t think of using U-Haul storage in Hendersonville TN.

Plus I had to wait over 10 minutes for the person who took it up to let me use it. They kept it to load there stuff from their storage. Bad system. Because of that I would not recommend this facility

The debt card on file was compromised and I ask for Ty Mc Connell to call me back and it never happened. He doesn't work there nor does Anthony. I called Ray Ray and left a message because because he is never available and failed to call me back to resolve. I have been going through chemo and radiation as well as two surgeries only to discover that I had three home evasion. I will provide documentation if needed . I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran female and widow of same. We were both injured severely which resulted in his death and my illness. A majority of the items in storage are property of Aaron's rental and if sold, will be considered theft and result in a hosts of problems for U-Haul. I need to get my medical equipment, documents and keepsakes out as soon as I am able to travel, with assistance, of course. Adult Protective Services and my caretakers are urging me to reach out to the press. I would like a last opportunity to resolve this matter with U -Haul. Ronne Johnstone | Overall ExperienceThe fact that the facility only has one elevator is really inconvenient. People would leave the elevator open on a higher floor and you couldn’t even get to your unit. They need to have stairs within the facility. Also, we were never taught or shown how to use the elevator and although we figured it out on our own, we did have it malfunction on the day we moved out, which was really scary. The staff there has a few, at best, “nice” workers but for the most part, they are lazy and never want to answer questions or help you. Someone should be by the elevator helping people with it if it’s held up on a different floor and they should really be paying attention to the cameras for when something does go wrong. I would never recommend this facility to anyone due to only have one elevator and no stairs.

Management offered solutions to late payments and even non- payments without incurring late fees and even accepted partial payments in order to allow me to get caught up. If I were to have any negative comment at all it would be because of the wait time when calling to speak with an associate... However this is completely understandable with a smaller staff due to COVID. Even the answering service staff were friendly and helpful when I had to leave a message for an associate to call me back. In that event I always received a call back from a Uhaul associate in a timely manner with details of my call. My overall experience during this difficult time over the past year is excellent. I was able to retrieve all the possessions I had in storage. Thank you folks... B. Wilson

It’s very apparent they are not happy there. The other thing I would like to comment on is the bathroom facility that area needs some work Sink is coming off the wall and the soap that is available is limited. I know from owning my own business OSHA requirements and things like that this is not at all up to par. Huge liability with the sink and it doesn’t take much to install a sink soap dispenser. The lighting upstairs if you’re trying to empty your unit goes out a little too quickly maybe you can Extend the timer. Other than that your facility seems to be clean I would’ve liked to of known where the stairs were in case of fire never did find those just a safety precaution for new customers to maybe give them a tour of where the fire exit doors are. I wish you all success thank you so much for providing the storage for the year.

There was no lock in the shed so we had to purchase a lock, which was not expected, and we were unable to get the door to shut as the metal piece was stuck and would not move. What appeared to be an easy move in process turned to be a fiasco. Not to mention that we paid and were billed a week in advance of when the unit was needed for the easy of move in and free lock and that did not happen. I even called to alert that the bill stated the move in day was listed as the day I paid, not the day I selected on the form, i was told it was not an issue, it was all set on their end, it clearly was not.

And to make matters worse, I was charged an additional day for truck rental even though I had three more available days. Thankfully, the U-haul 800 number was able to credit the truck, however they could not address the blanket charge and advised me to contact the local store. But when I call the local store, the call rolls back to 800 number. This is not exactly the way I would manage the local U-haul office. I might check the contract more carefully to make sure I don't over charge the customer, or maybe reach out to a lifetime customer about 3 misplaced blankets before charging the full amount. Instead, I have to spend time straightening out the silly mistakes and remove years of positive U-haul experiences.
