She showed me around the property, provided boxes, and was responsible for changing me to a better unit for my needs. and taught me how to open a stubborn unit door. Overall = an A+ !

Lee NewcomerThey typed in my email wrong even after I had made them aware of it. I didn't receive my contract via email until 2 to 3 days later. I called to check the price on a modification. They said they couldn't help me. I was given another number to call. After I dialed that number I was then given numbers to 2 other locations. I eventually discovered that an additional mile has a charge of $1 and was told to figure the amount myself by looking at my contract (which was not initially provided to me). Upon my return I needed to change drop off locations. Again I was given a total of 4 offices to call. At the end my drop off location could not be changed. First I was told there would be a charge. Then I was told it could not be changed. Then I was told it could but was abruptly disconnected. I did eventually get a call back but was informed if I needed to make a complaint to call customer service. The return call was not about trying to help me change my drop off location. I will NEVER use uhaul again. Extremely poor customer service, no assistance, and twice was placed on hold for 20 to 30 minutes. The worst experience.

Gary MuensterOreanha is amazing! Always has my order ready & check-out @ register is smooth & fast! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! The new pick-up location for the cargo vans is awful. I use the vans to hold balloons for my orders/events. I am usually in a time crunch/hurry when I pick up so having them lined up in the location where drop off is & being blocked for a while & waiting for the return line to clear is not convenient & honestly awful. If this continues I will have to look for another Uhual location that can get me in & out quick.
Olivia Nowak RiosThe small truck we rented was in good shape although I think u-haul could have paid for automatic locks on the front doors. We had to manually lock and unlock each door. The seats were okay but all you could do is move them forward or back. The back of the seat had no give and I felt like I had to sit at attention the entire time. At the actual rental location, the woman who worked there was not friendly or welcoming. And she could not find my reservation even though I had the number and read it off a couple of times. She did find my reservation through my name but then said there was anohter person's name on the reservation that was completely wrong.

Darryl JonesWhen we picked up the uhaul truck it was on empty. The needle didn't move at all. The issue I have with this is that you have your disclaimer that gas must be at the same level or you charge to fill it which is usually more than a gas station would charge. Your customers aren't given the same consideration. So naturally you benefited financially from this because we put gas in it and it was returned to you with gas in it, because we didn't drive enough to empty the tank.There was another customer there at the same time with the same issue, a vehicle with an empty tank. The truck also had a screw in the tire, which we were able to air up for it to hold. I feel like you could maintain these vehicles a little better. Overall the customer service was great and easy to deal with.

Not only that but the back of the truck had soo much dirt in it I had to sweep it out and sweep again just to try and make sure my stuff didn’t get dirty. I’d honestly like a refund on the truck. First their computers were crashing on a busy Saturday morning - clearly not the locations fault and the team handled all the customers well. I had several issues with my reservations today due to someone at uhauls main customer service line dropping the ball and failing at everything they promised me a week ago. Francisco and his team did an excellent job at picking up the ball that Uhaul dropped. They made everything happen so I could get my move done today. I really appreciate all that the Scottsdale team did for me today. A big thank you!!!
NICOLE FARRThe trailer I rented was stated 5x9. The width is actually only 52”, not 60”. The item I needed to move was 56” wide which obviously caused problems for my situation. I’m sure I’m not the first to have been disappointed by the label/marketing. Otherwise the trailer was good and a very reasonable priced.

I told him I wanted to get everything done so all I have to do is unload. I didn’t open the link for my drivers lic right away and had to go back an hr later. At that time I asked again to complete the process. He took down all my info but didn’t charge me. The next day I tried to open the door and was denied. I went into the office and another Clerk took my payment, showed me how to open the doors and was extremely helpful.

Two separate key pads 20 feet apart, each has to have 7 digit number entered to open the doors. The card they gave me would NOT open the doors the first day -- well that's the day you move the most stuff. We had to use the TWO key pads no less than 20 times to get in.

James Pupillo | Overall ExperienceI rented a 5X10 unit and discovered that they gave me a 5X5 unit instead. I had to go through the whole renting process a 2nd time. They credited my card but was not able to provide me with a receipt. I went back to make sure that I would not get auto billed each month for the smaller unit. It was difficult to imagine that this could happen since I explained that I had 100 boxes to store and everyone there believed I should go with the larger unit which also made sense to me. There was no way to know that this was happening because I was told that I would be getting a discounted rate the 1st month and then pay the regular amount each month thereafter. That was not the case when I rented the 2nd unit.

I only have my wife and one address. That is a crazy limitation of your system. 3) Manager was very rude when dealing with the issue above.

Marilyn Kitt | Overall ExperienceThe staff was wonderful, but my experience was awful. I had a reservation for a location 25 min west of my house, not ideal, but doable. I loaded up my car and dropped my husband off at Home Depot then i went to my location. After having a reservation for months, they didn’t call to tell me they didn’t have my size unit. I could pay $110 more a month for a size I didn’t need, but no thanks! So I had to go to one 25 minutes north of my house AND we couldn’t get anything we needed at Home Depot bc my car was still loaded. On top of this, I couldn’t get back to pick my kids up on time bc I didn’t have any place for them to sit, so i was scrambling there. I ended up spending 4 1/2 hours trying to get into a locker and all because no one called to tell me to go somewhere else, and i had 8 Rubbermaid totes, that’s it. Then on top of that, the place they sent me in the end was $15 more a month for that same size and it wasn’t even climate controlled! The first one was, how does that even figure?! And I wasn’t told that when I left the first place for the second. So while I rate your staff with excellence for friendliness, the experience was pretty awful. Any day this would have been annoying, but we’re moving and have a million things to do, this shouldn’t have been such a Process!

The worker who initially set up my account/ storage unit was very impolite and wanted to do as little work as possible. Any question was met with a very annoyed response. The experience I had here was no doubt a direct result of the manager who wouldn't allow me to leave the storage unit unlocked and with nothing in it for about a half hour whilr I went and got my lock and items I was storing in the unit. When calling into this store to try and move out I had to call in 4 times, each were met with an employee putting me on hold for over 20 minutes each time before I hung up. I never got threw to them once and had to call into the main U haul number to finally check out. I have used U-Haul a bunch of times in the past and my experience was wonderful. Not a single complaint ! This store was so bad that of I did not know how it stacked up to others, I would never use U-Haul again. This is unacceptable and in an incredibly wealthy area like Scottsdale, this entire U-Haul store needs some serious looking into.

Brandan Gessel | First Impressions2 price hikes in 6 months was the breaking point. Rented a different unit that is double the size and has AC for the same price. Attempted to use mobile check in for van rental and after jumping through the online hoops I still had to go inside and check in with an attendant. Due to my work schedule getting to our unit during the day proved difficult and it is an extra fee to have longer access hours, not the case at our new facility. I get supply and demand but feel that Uhaul is erring on the side of greed.

We purposely checked in online as we waited in line for over 40 minutes to buy moving boxes the prior weekend and wanted to avoid that wait. When we arrived at the unit, the lock was not in there as stated. We ended up having to go to the office to wait in line for 30 minutes. It was extremely disappointing that we checked in online to avoid the painful wait, yet that is exactly what ended up happening.

She would not even explain how idiotic it is that uHaul does not already have my address handy. I let that go. She wore a facemask BELOW her nose, which is ridiculous. I asked for a pro-rated refund of my storage locker and she said "we don't do that" instead of showing me the contract. I did not push on it. The facility is not clean, the equipment in the main storage area is falling apart. They constantly ask everyone NOT to park where it says "customer parking" and to PARK IN THE STREET which is far less safe. GET your act together.

I would pay tripple that just to get out! Also every time I called store, without fail it was approx 20-25min hold to speak with someone ... even the last day I showed up and no other customers were there... so I hung phone up and walked inside. That’s a joke.

If I were the store owner or corporate manager I would fire everyone working in the store. Lastly I made a payment on my storage unit in advance and the clerk told me they weren’t going to refund my payment of $125. Absolute theft if you ask me. Especially after giving 6 months of my business. The truck had horrible alignment and hadn’t been inspected since January of LAST YEAR. The last time I helped a friend move in a uhaul it hadn’t been inspected in 5 years and we had a tire blow out while exiting the freeway. Absolutely terrible business. I HATE UHAUL and I will NEVER offer my business ever again and I will steer everyone I have the opportunity another direction.

My email and phone number were the contact information but the unit was in her name. I was told I would have to bring in my mom to show her ID to close the account. I explained my mom was in a senior facility 60 minutes away and this would be a huge problem. Basically I was told they didn’t care. So I drove all the way across town and back again with my Mom. Walked in and was then told we don’t need to see her drivers license!!! Instead of being contrite, I was met with laughter and the offer of a water! I know we were no longer clients, but you took a pretty good experience and turned it into a terrible experience. Really terrible customer relations!! I would not recommend this location to anyone and a different approach to the bad situation would/could have made all the difference.
